After searching a few places for a spa day, I received a response from Summer with an idea for a spa party. She would have a private spa party for my friends and I. Well that is just what the doctor ordered. While two of the girls were getting treatments, the other 3 were enjoying some wine and great food provided by the spa. Her and her team were very friendly. The facials, sugaring, foot scrub, back massage and back scrub were so delicious. I will definitely drive the 1 1/2 hours to enjoy some R&R at Summer's Dawn. read more

I got a massage this past Tuesday with Tamara, and she was awesome! I can't remember the last time I got a massage this great. I got the 90-minute Swedish massage, and she massaged with just the right amount pressure, not too soft and not to firm where it actually hurt. I asked her to focus on certain areas, and, boy, did she work those areas. I would love to schedule another session with her, but, unfortunately, I don't live close to Ojai. Yvonne was also wonderful in assisting me schedule the appointments for me and my sister. Overall a wonderful massage experience! Her style is so unique & eclectic that it's indescribable. And I've been backpacking throughout the world & received massages in several different countries & continents. So to get this kind of massage in Meiners Oaks of all places, I'm really blown away. She mentioned her background & training which includes chiropractic therapy, pain management, acupressure, Japanese do & shiatsu, and more traditional Swedish & deep tissue. So basically her style and massage is really her own. If you're looking for a great massage that is truly multimodal & unique I would highly recommend booking with her. This place is the most unique, awesome little hidden gem in Ventura county. I came in for massage with Patricia. She was so kind and did an amazing job at getting all my knots out. Came back for the BEST facial with Summer. She is incredibly knowledgable and educated me on how to help control my cystic acne. My skin has never looked better in 5 years. No joke. I'm not sure which technique Summer used, but it saved me a lot of pain and a trip to the chiropractor! I woke up with an extremely tight and uncomfortable pain in my neck -- I could hardly move my neck. I was really unhappy with the customer service here. Their website says they have the ability to have private parties. I sent an email inquiry Thursday, but did not hear back. I then called Friday morning, got voice mail. I got a return call Friday late afternoon, with a message saying they could accommodate my group on the day I requested. They asked me to call back, which I did pretty quickly and got voice mail again. I offered on the message to come in the next day (Sat) and work out details and put down a deposit. No call back. Sat morning came and passed, so I phoned again and again, got voice mail. I left another message offering to come in at their convenience. No call back...no call Sun. On Mon, pretty much right when they opened, I phoned again, and again got VM. I did not leave a third message, since it seemed pointless. Late Mon morning, they finally called back (I was at work, could not answer) and left a message saying, "Oh sorry! We can't accommodate your group after all!" Like...seriously! They took up so much time to tell me this (not to mention first letting me know it would be okay) that it made it difficult to find another spa for our event. I never had a spa service there, so this review is strictly based on the communication (or lack of) I had with them. read more

My boyfriend and I got the couples massage this past Saturday and it was everything I expected and then some! I wanted to surprise him with a massage (he's only had 1 which wasn't all that great) for V-day. This was my first time getting a massage and I've got to say that Sandy did an amazing job. My boyfriend got his massage from Summer since she said that she could give him a stronger kind of massage for a man. He said that she was able to work most of the knots out. The atmosphere was relaxing, and they were extremely professional and friendly. We will definitely come back!!! Oh, and I'm not sure if this was a V-day special or if she does this on the regular, but for an additional $20 we got wine at chocolate at the end of the massage. That was an added plus! read more

I would need enough room for a novel to express how much I am in love with this place and of course, Summer. I almost never take time to write a review good or bad but Summer's worth! She was recommended to me by a local for the detox wrap which is amazing. Since then Summer has let me catch a glimpse of what appears to be an endless bag of magical tricks! I'll never be able to decide which of her services I love most but if you need hair removal, you'll realize you have not been living properly once you give the sugar removal a try. Everywhere. I don't know how I've survived without it. I'm a major massage snob & I can recommend her for anything along those lines! Blows everyone else out of the water! I dare you to mention some bizarre ailment & not have her remedy it on the spot!! Her lash extensions & technique...no other can hold a candle to it. Recently we've begun work on fascia..she knocks the hell out of a foam roller. The list honestly does not end! She's so fabulous I can't even scratch the surface of all of her capabilities.
