Their dragon roll is my favorite, quite literally one of the best - if not THE BEST roll I've had.

This is our second time at Bada Sushi. We literally drove 900 miles to eat here. My pops in law…read morelikes to eat here for his birthday dinner. For a large group it's a good idea to call ahead and reserve ahead. Our group already chose the set menu A. The kids ordered a bunch of rolls and don kat su dishes. It's a mom and pop operation and when you come here and order the set menu, plan on being here for at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You probably need all that time to be able to take in the gargantuan amount of food. It will take too much time to go over all the items that they serve for the set menu. I posted it so you can go over it yourself. I eat pretty much anything so a place like this isn't too much of a surprise but people that come here having only experienced Japanese style restaurants will be surprised. Some of the favorites of the set menu was the o deng guk, oysters (gigantic), sashimi, and the soup at the end. I wasn't so much the fan of any of the fried items. Also all the fried items were served towards the end of the meal when we were already stuffed. Pair it with a nice bottle of sake and you are in for a treat. Bada is a beast!

The dishes are served little by little at a deliberate pace, allowing you to actually enjoy each course without feeling rushed. Each plate felt intentional and thoughtfully prepared rather than filler leading up to a main dish. The progression of flavors was well done, starting lighter and gradually moving into richer, more satisfying bites. Fish quality was fresh and clean, with a good balance between rice and toppings. Presentation was simple and neat, keeping the focus on the quality of the food. Service paired nicely with the course format, with plates arriving at the right time without needing to ask. Staff provided explanations when appropriate but didn't hover. The ambiance was calm and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the flow of the meal. Portions weren't oversized, but by the end the meal felt complete and satisfying. This is a great spot if you appreciate a slower, more intentional sushi experience instead of rapid, all-at-once ordering. I'd definitely return, especially for the course format. I really like Maru Sushi. They had a pretty good selection of sushi rolls along with poke bowls…read more They have premade bowls or you can do a build your own. I really like that you have a lot to choose from, and the included amount was decent. Like, you can pick up to five different toppings like edamame, pineapple, etc, up to three different proteins, toppings like tempura flakes, and different types of rice, including purple rice, which was great. I went with black rice, pineapple, masago, green onions, edamame, salmon, tuna, tofu, and some spicy sriracha. It was delicious. My son loved his poke bowl, but he did say he wished there was more rice. Overall, food was great, service was good, and the overall dining experience is worth a revisit. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located near the back, there is a men's and women's bathroom. In the men's, there is a urinal and a toilet. I always wondered whether to lock the door behind me in these situations. Well, I couldn't anyways, as the lock was broken. So I peed as quick as possible, to avoid being walked-in on. The toilet handle was hard to press but thankfully I got to the gym and it paid off here. Sit or squat? Squat.
