Last night (my birthday) we hit takeout from Oishii Bistto in Mt. Kisco. We ordered Rock Shrimp Tempura in a spicy mayo sauce, Crispy Chicken in a sweet sauce that also had mild heat and Sesame Chicken. Each dish was very good. My son had the Sesame Chicken while my wife an I shared the other dishes. Restaurant is located on Moger Ave, just south of Barnes and Noble. Honestly I didn't really concern myself with the restaurant decor as we were super hungry and I ran in for pickup!, but there are maybe 15-20 tables and a few had diners. Not bad for a Monday at 6pm. Oishii has a very large menu to choose from, you may never eat the same thing twice! There is a ton of parking available in the lot where the back entrance of the restaurant is located. They have a great variety including sushi, hot Japanese apps and entrees as well as some classic Chinese dishes as well. They have a nice array of dumplings to choose from, basically any type imaginable and they even have Ramen and Udon Soups. I enjoy going here with friends, especially because we have so much to choose from--whoever wants a hot dish can find something and if someone is in the mood for soup etc. The sushi always tastes very fresh. They also have some unique dishes you normally do not see at an Asian type of fusion restaurant. There is Ceviche, Nori cracker, Tortilla Pizza and other interesting stuff. Their specialty roles are very tasty as well--so much to choose from. The service is very fast and efficient-they are also super polite and welcoming when you arrive. Their Miso soup is absolutely delicious-not too salty either. The inside decor is very nice as well--nice mood lighting and the place is tastefully decorated. Every time I've gone to Oshii Bistro I've been overwhelmed by the incredible food and kindness of the staff. This is the best sushi in the area by far, but I'd go as far as to say this is the best sushi I've ever had! My only teeny tiny note is the toro and avocado changed and I miss the old form! The Toro and Yuzu is to die for in any form though! I included a close up of one of the rolls so you can see how much love and care goes into a single roll, it's like a piece of art. For reference: the roll is crafted, then fried, then topped with crab, spicy mayo, another sauce, tomiko, and a thin garnish green. I've never seen sushi at this price point be so incredible. They even had cute little Christmas decorations up for the holiday season! My boyfriend noticed the Santa hat on the wall almost looked like it was floating over my head which was very cute! read more

Oishii Bistro was quite good and satisfied our taste buds for sushi. The quality of the salmon, crab, shrimp and chicken were fresh and made with care. Sushi is one of my dishes meaning I will have high expectations for it and the overall meal is worth the price. - Pink Lady Speciality Roll - Salmon Avocado, Salmon Avocado & cucumber, and Philadelphia Roll - Honey walnut chicken and tempura shrimp. I've given only 4 stars because I wasn't ready for the big portion of honey walnut and shrimp due to me not being extremely hungry after eating a whole pizza and three donuts beforehand lol read more

WOW! I moved away about 25 years ago, but return home to see family. What a brilliant surprise in the slag of mediocre restaurants in Northern Westchester. We were enthusiastically (maybe a bit aggressively?) greeted by the owners several times, who pushed the specials, but were right in doing so. Best Uni I've had in a while, and ai eat all around the tri-state. I believe when she said the Toro was great, because the tuna sashimi I got in my Deluxe platter and my kids in their tri-color platters was nearly Toro itself. Beautifully fatty, not like the transparent ruby-colored garbage many places sling. House sake was very nice, and the cucumber garnish was skillfully done. I do remember this place. I thought it was a different management but the owner assured me they were there for 26 years! It's a bit dark and concrete cold, but it warms up on you after a bit. Bottom line, best sushi in Northern Westchester, and I will be back. Thank goodness! read more

We've been coming here for years hut the new owners have taken what was already a solid standby to the next level. The owner greets us with a smile and brings over the menu and chats, and she recognized us from the last time we were in. They have some great seasonal items on the menu including soup dumplings - one of our faves! My son ate so much he almost exploded from the deliciousness. Dropped in and had their Szechuan peppercorn shrimp lunch special. It was flavorful and I liked the different varieties of vegetables. I do wish I had more shrimp though. The miso soup was good and had good sized cubed tofu. The service was good and the restaurant is clean. read more

I've been a customer at Oishii for years (since their first location across town) and I always recommend it to others! This is a great take-out spot for Asian fusion or sushi. I am never disappointed with anything I try! Delivery is quick and service is reliable and standard. The delivery drivers are really nice, too. I've only eaten at this location (dine-in) once, and it was good, too. However, 99% of my orders here are always take-out. Really disappointed.... Miso was totally flavorless and seemed like packet miso with hot water Crab Rangoon was cheapest quality ever, no sign of any crab, just onion Toro (my absolute favorite, I order it everywhere) was over-priced, and so fatty (yes, I know it is 'fatty' tuna) I couldn't chew it at all and despite keeping it in my mouth trying because of what I paid, I almost vomited at the table and had to spit it out. Service was polite as Asians always are, but a little too difficult to communicate about the basics and make it through. I didn't complain, but won't come back. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious. I love eating sushi here. It is fresh! The food is not overcooked or overpowered by sauces. The staff is very attentive and the manager is very eager to serve you high quality food. The other night we called to let them know we were would be arriving a little past 8:30 pm; they close at 9:00 pm, and asked if it was okay and they said yes. To make it easier on them I placed our eat in order and when we arrived, the manager told us that she did not want us to eat cold food. We were not rushed even though it was past 9:00 pm. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. I'll get right to the down and dirty. We've probably ordered most of not all of the Japanese/sushi in the delivery radius from our house (even the place that has a yelp review that says they asked the server a question and said "go fuck yourself" lmao). This is the best and our new go to. I don't eat seafood but GF can provide more info about that. I get the bullshit vegetarian ones and they have been very good from here. Avocado isn't too mushy, the rolls hold up, etc. Last night I ordered some entrees. I ordered veggies with szechuan pepper corn sauce and it was super tasty but when eating the leftovers I had the pleasure of noticing all of the oil that had separated in the fridge and there was quite a bit of it lmao. What can you expect from chinese food tho. Looking at the receipt (because why would I remember what I ordered last night?) I'm noticing I ordered the vegetable chow fun and it makes so much more sense right now. I could have sworn I ordered something else and I was really surprised to see how thick the noodles were. They were absolutely delicious but the size of those ribbons really slowed me down. Like, a plane could land on those things. This is and will continue to be our go to when we are craving Asian, especially considering the variety if one person isn't in the mood for sush. read more

Good intimate space with chill vibes. I enjoyed the lunch bento box. I had the chicken and lo me-in with dumplings and a California roll. I love that they serve you Saratoga water it's one of my favorite. The service was very attentive to me which I adore. I never had to ask for anything as they were truly Johnny on the spot! I apologize for no pics I was short on time on my lunch break and by the time I realized it I was 3 mouthfuls in with my chopsticks parking was good in the parking lot, you pay about 75 cents for an hour and half so it was golden. The place is nice and serves both Chinese and Japanese. I went all traditional Chinese. If you can't make pork fried rice, wonton or Hot and Spicy soups well, don't serve Chinese. The ribs were super fatty. Maybe I'm used to NYC Shun Lee and spoiled, but I tried to find a happy place with the food - to no avail. The servers were sweet and it seemed they recognized the food was not up to par. Maybe the sushi is better. Sorry guys, the basics should always be good. read more

This restaurant charges us as crazy amount for this little bit of mid food, (56 dollars for 12 pieces of sushi!) my sister forgot to give the delivery driver his tip in person. The restaurant then called her, she was about to tell them that she will give him his tip, when the manger or owner told her that she didn't give him a tip and berates her, she was super unprofessional, when a tip is not even mandatory, you don't need to own a restaurant to know this!
