I had to update my review because my friends thought they were taking me somewhere I hadn't been…read morebefore. It's been over 10 years ago which tells you a restaurant surviving this close to Disney that isn't a chain restaurant they have to be good. And they are. Because of recent food allergies I have to be careful where I eat. I wasn't concerned here. They listened attentively and took all of our dietary needs to Hart. They were very very specific who got white and who could eat what when they came to the table to serve serve. It's not some big fancy theme park type restaurant inside but it's nice and clean. I'm still laughing my friends had no idea I had been here and had even told them about it. Oh well, they bought me dinner so I shouldn't complain. The service is excellent, of course they listen to you when you order which is important, the food was hot, fresh, visually appealing as well as smelled incredible. When we were done they were quick to clear away and box up anything that we asked. I don't like too much hovering over a table but I also don't like to have to go hunt down my weight staff. Just the right amount without being annoying or unresponsive. I will definitely come back here again and remind my friends I have been here. Lol

The place hasn't changed... the food is still excellent, the place is still a bit quirky, but lovable. I had the spring rolls, which have always been delectable, and after that the pad thai which was also quite good. About the only thing that I would complain about is the constant in-and-out of delivery drivers, but I get it... the place has to survive, and by the traffic I was seeing easily half of their sales are going out via delivery, so if that is the price we as in-house diners have to pay in order to keep the place up and running, so be it.

Wow, just wow! The level of attention and class of this restaurant is unprecedented…read more I would like to start of with a HUGE shout out to executive chef, Theo Goupil! He is not only managing a phenomenal team but he is so incredibly available to diners! Made us feel like VIPs! Naomi, the hostess, clearly knows what she is doing and made sure every single thing went smoothly! It was my first time at a Michelin star restaurant and the mixologist, Marcel, literally came by to ask about preferences and created a unique cocktail for me! Service could literally not get better!! Aidan and Daniel, just WOW!!! Like wow! If I say wow one more time you'll probably stop reading but that's just how amazing they were! Daniel picked every single dish we ate and we loved every single dish!! The tuna pizza, MY GOD! The otoro (fatty tuna), MY GOD! Like every single thing was amazing!!! Ambiance is dope, exactly what you'd expect at a Michel star restaurant! Absolute 5 star! Jump over to ette for my hotel review!

I went to Salt & Cellar two days in a row and had two completely different food experiences--but…read morethe same level of service throughout. First, I want to give credit where it's due. Naomi at the front was amazing--welcoming, professional, and set the tone the right way both nights. The manager was also phenomenal each evening and clearly takes pride in the operation. Jose behind the bar is a nice guy and can absolutely make a solid drink. That said, the service at the bar didn't match what you'd expect from a place aiming for a higher-end, Michelin-style experience--especially when I was the only person sitting there. There just wasn't that elevated level of attention or engagement you'd expect. Food-wise, night one was incredible. The sea bass was one of the best dishes I've ever had--perfectly cooked, balanced, and memorable. Night two told a different story. The scallops were overcooked, though still had good flavor. What stood out more was that I wasn't checked on until I was literally on my last scallop... again, as the only guest at the bar. My honest takeaway: if you go in expecting a Michelin-level experience, make that known upfront and I'm sure you'll be taken care of. But the real question is--should you have to ask for that? There's a lot of potential here, and some things they're doing extremely well. Just needs consistency across both the kitchen and the guest experience. Nestled in a well appointed boutique hotel the ambiance and welcoming is fantastic, definitely a must try in the area!

Chicken tasted fresh and flavorful with the sauce, although it could've used more char. I appreciate the fried rice used leftover sushi rice and veggies from the day prior. I felt welcome and comfortable throughout my visit. My host was most perceptive by seating me near the back facing a tv playing 80s music videos. It was a pleasure to watch those music videos while I ate my food, and rare to find a place playing something other than sports on every screen (other screens were playing sports).

But every visit, the biggest issue has been the service. The servers come across genuinely rude and seem way more focused on their regular patrons while everyone else gets treated like an afterthought. It creates a really unwelcoming atmosphere that takes away from the experience. They also respond cruelly. And if there's a game on, good luck. The place gets insanely loud, people are yelling across the restaurant, and the patrons can be obnoxious enough that it's hard to even enjoy dinner or hold a conversation. The sushi is solid enough if you're already nearby, but definitely not the sushi vibe I look for.

I booked the reservation and when I showed up it took about 20 mins or so to be seated. Nothing crazy but also a little inconvenient with 2 kids under 2 who were really hungry. The server was great he gave really good recommendations and saw I was trying to figure out what I wanted and offered the tikka masala. This was so good especially for Disney where most of their food isn't the best unless you are spending lots of money. The flavor was good and it was just the right amount of spice! The garlic, naan bread was a great touch- very comforting especially after a long day at Disney. The only reason why I'm giving the restaurant 4 stars is because the price is outrageous. It's no where near a white table cloth restaurant but the tikka masala was $30+. I get it's Disney and everything is expensive at Disney but this was not even remotely close to being worth $30.

Kitchen is also open with a bar that looks directly into the kitchen as you dine. Drinks are simple. Plum wine, Japanese whisky options, beer, and soft drinks. Also a few mixed drinks, but again nothing crazy or exciting. Food was fresh and pretty good. The tuna sashimi appetizer was fantastic! The sauce is like a yum-yum and black sesame blend. Incredible. The bowl was wayyyyyy too sweet for me. Too much of the sauce. But the rice and chicken were pretty good. The pork belly is grilled and not seasoned much. So added it to the bowl to calm the sweet and it worked well. Overall, this place isn't worth queuing for, but still pretty good considering its location. Solid 6/10 for me.
