A friend referred us to Walter, who I'm assuming is the owner, so we trusted the referral and decided to give this shop our business. That decision has been nothing but a headache. My daughter was only supposed to be here for one day. Walter told us the car would be ready Friday September 11th by 11:00 a.m. Friday came, 11:00 passed, and the car was nowhere near ready. What made it worse was the lack of communication. He wouldn't answer the phone, and we had to keep calling and going to the shop just to get an update. When we went to the shop, Walter told us the car would definitely be ready Saturday Sept 12th by 1:00 p.m. He even claimed we were "rushing him" on Friday, which was ridiculous considering **he was the one who gave us the 11:00 a.m. deadline.** My daughter had an online test Saturday, so she was busy taking her test and was not calling or rushing Walter about the car, as he claimed we had done on Friday. He had the car from Friday until Saturday evening, and we still didn't have it. Saturday afternoon came and went. We started calling because my daughter needed to get back on the road to New Jersey. Once again, no answer. We went to the shop, and it was closed. We didn't even see her car. We finally reached Walter at 6:21 p.m. He claimed the car was inside his shop and said he would call us back. He never did. At that point, we were extremely concerned. We contacted the DeKalb Police, but there wasn't much they could do immediately. We were told we would have to establish that the vehicle was actually missing and follow up Monday. Now my daughter has had to stay in Georgia longer than she planned, simply because this man couldn't communicate honestly or follow through on what he told us. Walter will tell you whatever he needs to tell you to get you off the phone, but based on our experience, I would strongly suggest NOT doing business with this shop. The lack of communication, the disrespect, and the constant changing of the story were completely unacceptable. I have already told the friend who referred us that they should never recommend this business to anyone again. This entire situation has been stressful, frustrating, and completely unnecessary.

Before they began the work, I explained the issue in detail, provided the diagnostic trouble codes, and shared what I believed was the needed repair based on the information I had. Unfortunately, the repair performed was not what I requested or what I understood to be necessary to address the overheating issue. Instead, the shop recommended and completed a more expensive repair. After they had my vehicle for at least a week, I was told that the vehicle would be completed on a certain day. I spoke with the owner, he told me to come in. I came in, and my vehicle remained on the lift with the body closed up as if it were finished for approximately two hours while the mechanics appeared to be sitting in the work area talking rather than actively working on it. They then started packing up to leave and asked me to return the next day. I did not even have a ride home. In my opinion, the repair could have been completed as promised if the work had been actively performed during that time. What also made me uncomfortable was being asked by the receptionist to leave a tip for the mechanics before my vehicle had even been repaired or returned to me. After the repair was completed, I paid approximately $1,000. Within three days, the same overheating problem returned. From my experience, the original issue was not repaired, and I was not offered a refund for the work that did not resolve the problem. I understand that vehicle repairs can sometimes involve additional diagnosis and unexpected issues. However, I expected clear communication, efficient work, an accurate repair, and accountability when the same issue returned almost immediately. Oh, and when I got my vehicle back, my battery charger was busted, as if someone took a wrench to it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.
