THINK TWICE BEFORE TRUSTING FREEHOLD COLLISION WITH YOUR VEHICLE! We entrusted Freehold Collision…read morewith our six-month-old Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum, with just a little over 3,000 miles on it, for repairs to the rear bumper following an accident. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into a nightmare going on 3 months involving poor workmanship, additional damage and nothing but deceit and dishonesty. Freehold Collision returned our vehicle to us with the original accident damage improperly repaired, along with additional exterior and interior damage that was not present before the vehicle was in their care.
The exterior workmanship was unacceptable. The paint did not match the rest of the vehicle, panels were misaligned and hanging off, the rear bumper was uneven and improperly fitted just to name a few defects. This is not the quality of work anyone should expect when entrusting a body shop with your vehicle. To make matters worse, we found additional new damage to the exterior and discovered damage inside the cargo area, including deep scratches and chunks missing throughout. We have photographs and documentation showing the condition of our vehicle before it was in their possession and then after, which I'm so thankful I made sure to document. We were told that parts were being stored inside the vehicle, and I specifically asked them not to do that. Unfortunately, my concern was disregarded. What followed was nearly three months of frustration and an endless cycle of changing promises. We were initially told we would receive a full refund. Then we were told they would pay to have another body shop correct the repairs. Later, we were told the repairs would need to go back through insurance which Freehold Collisdion already got paid for it ( this is insurance fraud ) Freehold collision then hires a third-party appraiser to inspected the vehicle and documented the repair deficiencies and additional damage. The appraiser agreed that the exterior work needed to be corrected and observed the interior & exterior damage as well. Freehold Collision then agreed to address only certain issues, leaving the interior damage unresolved. We were willing to move forward with having another body shop correct the defective exterior repairs. However, Freehold Collision then made that resolution contingent on our signing an agreement that would prevent us from pursuing the outstanding interior damage. After returning our nearly new vehicle with defective repairs and additional damage that we have documented, we are being asked to sign away our ability to pursue the unresolved interior damage as a condition of getting the exterior workmanship corrected is just disgusting. We are not willing to surrender our rights regarding damage that remains simply to have the original repair work done properly like it should have been initially.,We should never have been put in this position in the first place. Nearly three months later, the accident repairs still have not been properly corrected, the interior damage remains unresolved. They have intentionally dragging their feet and we are now moving forward with litigation. No customer should have to spend months fighting to get defective workmanship corrected or be pressured, bullied or stronger armed into signing an agreement relinquishing claims for other damage just to obtain a resolution on work that should have been done correctly in the first place. The amount of time, stress, and frustration this situation has caused is unacceptable especially while being pregnant is inhumane. We would strongly encourage anyone considering Freehold Collision to do their research, check their reviews and think very carefully before entrusting this business with your vehicle. As for Bob, his conduct has shown a disturbing lack of empathy, integrity, accountability and basic human decency toward customers. Rather than treating our concerns with honesty and compassion, he handled the situation dismissively and coercive. His conduct was not merely disappointing it was callous, inhumane and deeply troubling. Almost three months later, we are still fighting to get what should have been done correctly from the beginning.
