Mana and his team has walked us through every step of the way from his mobile showroom to the wonderfully clear product. Mana also told me to try and find pricing on his competitors...not even close and not to even sacrifice quality. Unfortunately, we had some busted screens during the process of the home construction, but Kawika (service bruddah) came out checked um, and when he was here I kept asking, what about this one and this one and this one too. He just took them all out, got them repaired and reinstalled them no questions asked. Super Aloha. And this is months after we've been living in the house. Would I recommend....absolutely! Maybe Mana can also throw in a round of golf at OCC as well if you purchase now. Update update, nearly a year later Kawika was very thorough and wanted to ensure our sliding doors were working. He was very tedious and ensured they were installed to the best of his ability. He also noticed walking by some windows that there were some weep holes missing and he offered to fix that too! Kawika accepts tips as snacks are welcome hahaha!

We are now having to resort to legal action. We prepaid the $17K last Sept. 2025 for 3 sliding glass doors and a window. On Sept. 5, Mana told us installation would happen in November. November came and went. Since then we have repeatedly emailed, called and texted both Mana and Paul. We got some response initially, and a promise for delivery in Spring 2026. Spring came and went. We have since been completely ghosted as we have tried to contact them, sometimes daily, asking for an installation date or for a refund. In late July, we sent a letter from a lawyer saying that if we did not receive the materials we have paid for, or a refund within 3 weeks, we would pursue legal action. Unfortunately, this is now what we are forced to do. This company installed windows for us a few years ago and our experience was good. I provided a 5-star rating in 2023. We maintain some hope that Paul and Mana will do the minimally correct thing and deliver the materials we have paid for, or refund our money.

I called for a quote for a metal frame screen door for the front entry of my home in kaimuki. The…read moredoor dimensions are not the typical size. They explained that the door is made on the Mainland, it is custom made to fit my door frame, and may take 2+ months. While the estimating process requires their staff to conduct a site visit for measurements and it took a few days to complete, the staff were polite and professional. They explained the pricing and the time-frame required to make the door. On installation day two workers showed up to do the job, and they were technically proficient, polite, courteous, and professional. The quality and workmanship of the door is excellent. I am very happy with the installed product and the polite and professional demeanor of the office staff and installation crew. Highly recommended!!!

Thank you Jim Camacho from Screens and Things for helping my mom, younger brother and youngest…read morebrother (who is Jim's fellow alumni). Jim was extremely patient and helpful in our selection of a new replacement walk-in shower door fixture to fit our existing shower enclosure. Having to call several other vendors, one of which thats sells the shower fixtures but does not install, the other requiring me to photograph and taking measurement prior to them going out for a "free" estimates. Mm, such great service : ( With little success, I called Jim for his assistance once again not knowing that they also sell and install shower door fixtures. After scheduling an appointment with him at the Moiliili branch we decided to go with Screens and Things even though our shower door fixture had to be special ordered and custom manufactured. Well, after several months of waiting, Screens and Things "Randy" and his partner (sorry forgot his name) arrived yesterday and installed the new shower door fixture. Both Randy and his partner did an excellent job in the installation. My mom and brothers are very happy with the purchase and installation and will refer our family and friends to them. Again, thank you Jim and Screens and Things installers and staff. Aloha and Mahalo! PYO, HKO, RKO2 & RKO1

Coastal Windows - Lanai

Coastal Windows

I wanted to share my experience as this company deserves your consideration for your window…read moreproject. I believe Coastal Windows will have your best interest as their top priority, just as they did ours through every step of the project. Our lanai went from a dusty, dirty hangout to a clean, weatherproof I-always-want-to-be-out-there living space. Our goal was to replace screened openings with windows to keep out dust, dirt and water. The more window companies I talked to the more ideas I got. However, it was not till speaking with Ernest Chang at Coastal Windows that I was convinced we were making the right decision. Ernest was very patient and actually listened to everything we wanted to achieve with our window project. He helped us work through many details and came up with a solution better than we even imagined. One wall went from 8 screened openings to 4 large sliding windows. When we started we were just going to fill the existing openings with similar size windows. That would have been a huge mistake. This alone set Coastal apart from most other companies who would basically say "tell me what you want and I will let you know how much." Coastal actually consulted and planned with us. It may sound cliche, but that old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true with Coastal Windows. You may pay a bit more, but your end result and your experience from start to finish will be better than expected. Here is what you are paying more for: top of the line windows with no moving parts to break or fail that are designed and built here on island; complete removal of old windows and installation just like new construction ensuring structural integrity and weather resistance; and a vast knowledge of our weather conditions and what works and what doesn't. Breakdown of my experience: Sales process with Ernest Chang: this guy knows his stuff and tells it like it is with amazing tact and respect. He listens to everything and actually hears what you have to say. You could tell he was less focused on the final sale and more focused on what we wanted to achieve that would make us happy. Project proposal: Straight forward and no hidden anything. I'm the guy who asks every possible question and leaves so stone unturned. Everything was communicated clearly and there were no issues or surprises throughout the process or upon completion. Also, every call and email was always returned promptly. Final measurements: These guys came in and made sure they knew exactly what they were getting into and what they would need for install day. If they felt they needed to pull a piece of trim to get a better look, they asked to do so. I am sure they knew they could, but they asked anyway. I respect that they had the consideration for us to ask more than once before just ripping into the walls. Installation: We had 6 very large windows going in and knew it would be a multi-day project. The crew from day one was kind & courteous from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. 5 full days and I never heard one inappropriate word. Now that is a huge feat to achieve with any construction project, let alone a 5-day window install in a house on a hill that has shifted and settled over the years. On top of that, their attention to detail and refusal to cut corners to ensure the best installation possible was just impressive.

The decision was easy and not stressful after getting information starting with Erik, touring their production area, then finishing up with Spenser. The installation team was a pleasure and able to install the (3) windows in (1) day. As the glass is made elsewhere and I had custom painted exterior frames, the installation took months to complete. The finished product was well worth it!
