Oh Vegan soul food was actually better than what I thought it was going to be. My husband and I went to go see a movie and we had about 45 minutes til our movie so we went to OH Vegan since it was the only place that was open. It's located inside of a mini multi shops outside of Edward's cinema. We haven't been to any of them shops. So we decided to give oh Vegan a try. My husband had the chicken meal with yams and rice he enjoyed every single bite. I had the chicken meal with rice and corn pudding and a peach cobbler. I love the crunchyness of the chicken and the corn pudding wasn't bad for being corn pudding the peach cobbler wow with some ice cream would of been so delicious but no ice cream was served with it but it was still good. The yams where so sweet and warm. Overall not a bad experience for our first time. The owner was so sweet. read more

What a sweet spot! The ambience is chill and everything too. But the food...YUM. I'm so happy tasty and amazing vegan food exists. Restaurant is located in a big building with a bunch of other businesses, so I wouldn't say it's conducive to a romantic date or large group, wishing to hang out at a restaurant, but it's definitely SOULFUL vegan food & I highly recommend it to all humans read more

Hi, I know the proprietress of this business is working hard, but our meal there tonight was pretty bad. Ok, the fries were good, and so was the lemonade, but she had incredibly limited sides available to go with the vegan chicken ( which is deep fat fried); only fries and collards. The collard greens were so salty they were inedible. They were the only thing resembling anything healthy on the menu and I was really hoping for a delicious dish of greens to go with the meal. The Vegan Chicken itself is extremely salty on itʻs own. I would have loved to have had a side of coleslaw to go with it, it would have helped with the plate of deep fat fried vegan chicken so much. I hope that the menu options can improve. read more

I was driving from Wyoming to Oregon and looking for somewhere to get tasty vegan food, and stumbled across Oh Vegan Soul on HappyCow.net. I drove all day dreaming of mac and cheese, and arrived only to see that the restaurant was closed. But the owner, Mae, was in the kitchen prepping for later, and after we spoke, she made me a full meal. I couldn't believe it. I'd been dealing with a challenging family situation on my trip, and her kindness made me cry (in a good way). And the FOOD WAS SO GOOD. Boise vegans are so lucky to have this mac and cheese!!! I had the chicken sandwich, mac, and perfectly cooked brussels sprouts. I've had a lot of vegan soul food (in Chicago, Atlanta, DC, and other places) and this was outstanding.
