Open only two days during our first visit and it seems they have already been discovered given people who were waiting on their take away orders. Word of mouth may be helped by the fact that Julian has experience working in some of Boise's most popular fine-dining restaurants (like Petite 4 and Avery) since moving here eight years ago and with a decade-plus experience before that in professional kitchens, he clearly knows his stuff. Add in charming Hallie who is so welcoming in her role front of house taking orders at the counter, and delivering them to tables if you choose to eat in, they have a recipe for success. We left feeling welcomed and well fed and eager to return. FOCUS: Sometimes it is best to let owners speak in their own voice, and so I'll insert Julian's comments as published in a Boise Dev article. In addition to saying they want to do "good food the right way" (as aside as a one visit customer, I say they already have that right) and using "the best products we can afford" (as aside as a one visit customer, I'd say you can taste this in the food including the Acme ciabatta they use for sandwiches), Julian says: ""We're intentionally keeping the menu small. That way, we can keep it focused and just really dial it in every day. So right now, the menu is focused around traditional deli sandwiches, but with a Cadence twist. A little bit more refinement, a little bit more of a different flavor profile. But I think it's going to be approachable." SPACE: Sparkling clean with pride of ownership even if spartan as one expects things to be in a just starting "mom and pop", in particular one with a focus on take away food. Seating at 3 four-top tables and it is the kind of place where had there been others wanting to sit who didn't have a seat during our lunch there we would have invited them to share the table with us. EATS: About six deli sandwiches in creative options to please carnivores and vegetarians, all served on Acme ciabatta so plenty big to feed two. Also, potato salad, green house salad and a grain and veg bowl are the menu line up now along with maybe three children's meal options and soft beverages. I took photos of both boards for options and prices. My husband and I shared the Mediterranean Eggplant sandwich ($13) that had fantabulous flavors (PSA - It is messy so plan on using extra napkins). We chose the upgrade (+$4) to add potato salad (side note - garnished with fresh dill and with pickles and celery and and perfectly dressed, this is among the best potato salad I have ever eaten and I am a fiend for it) and beverage (+$4 - the house made lemonade is tart-sweet-perfect). We ordered a Cadence Bowl that had a base of scallion labneh topped with a plethora of marinated golden and red beets, then perfectly cooked farro and finally a crown of fresh arugula ($10) to take away for dinner. $: For $27 (before tax and tip we had food to feed two people for two meals of healthy and fresh ingredients prepared by a skilled chef. In our book, this is a great value. PARKING: Ample amount in the old strip mall lot. ACCESSIBILITY: ADA parking with curb ramp onto walkway is two doors down. Ample floor space inside the shop for people using wheelchairs to get to and from order counter. All tables are at universally accessible standard height. LOO: I didn't see one so plan accordingly before you have the extra lemonade or iced tea. :-) HOURS: Currently 11a - 4p / Wed - Sun.

Unfortunately the sandwich had only two thin slices of roast beef. Not nearly enough to even notice it was there. I would prefer they charge more and offer a sandwich that has a reasonable amount of the main ingredient. Also tried their potato bacon soup. It was a broth based soup with lots of carrots and celery. Very good. It took nearly 15 minutes for my order so plan accordingly if you are on a schedule. Unfortunately the specials could not be ordered online ahead of time.
