So I haven't put up my review I wanted to do from my first yelp elite event here about a year ago,…read morewhich was actually 4 stars, but tonight pushed them up to 5 stars! They have really come a long way in a year's time and their current show about the Titanic (April 2015) was so amazingly done! The characters that you're asked to be are real passengers on the Titanic and they served the exact dessert that was served to first class passengers the day the ship sank (which was actually the anniversary date of the night we went). It was so good we are thinking of going back to sit in the "steerage" section instead of first class to check it out from another perspective! Both times we have been there the food is excellent and the price is pretty good for a 3 course dinner and a show! Oh and we got our own stereo card picture for $5 as a souvenir at the end of the show too!

October wedding. On the farm. In Nebraska…read more We were looking for a "real" photo booth. Not the "we setup a stage so you can take photos with your mobile phone" type of situation, but the experience of having your photo taken when you're enclosed, squished in and want to be a little over-the-top. We were going to make-do with another vendor until we saw the photo camper at Snap Omaha and instantly fell in love with the idea of parking this vintage camper next to the wedding venue - a red barn. Janine, the owner, was fabulous to work with and so accommodating. After 10 days of rain, we were worried about the weather, the ground (being too soft) and the logistics of getting that camper onto the concrete patio. Not only did they bring it out early, but they also managed to get it into the perfect location for maximum use. The quality of the photos are impressive. Double prints means a nice wedding favor for our guests and a memento for our guest book. Even better, access to all of the digital files means you have copies of all of the photos - including the ones your guests thought they took (with all that incriminating evidence). We rented the photo camper for an extra hour, with the attendant and photobook option. Their pricing sheet breaks down the cost so you can work it into your budget. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable (and competitively priced) it was. My only regret is not taking a photo of the camper because I was too enamored by it. It was beyond perfect.

Axe throwing was always something that my wife and I wanted to do, so we finally got to do it on a…read moredate night a few months back. One important thing to note is that you have to schedule your throwing time beforehand on their website. At the time, they supposedly did not accept walk-ins, but I do not know if that has or will change. Also, closed-toe shoes are required, so leave the sandals at home! The building itself is pretty basic and not a lot of decorating flare (which is fine, because I am here to throw axes). When you arrive, you have to sign the waiver, you have an opportunity to buy food, drink, etc and then you wait for your time to come. Once it is your scheduled time, you are taken back to your lane, giving a demo and overview of the various games and operating rules. After that, you are on your own but our guide was nearby most of the night if we had questions. He was able to answer questions and take food/drink orders. For the menu, they had popcorn and other small snack menu and a selection of canned beers, seltzers, and ciders. Prices were reasonable for the items my wife and I purchased. For the axe-throwing itself, you can reserve by the hour or lane. One hour is $20 per person or $35 for two hours (6 people per lane, includes training prior to starting). You can also rent two lanes for an hour for $200 (up to 12 people) or two hours for $350. There are a variety of games, including a traditional target, a Connect 4 style game, 21, a matching game, and more! Players are given clever names such as "Pain in the Axe" and "Axe Hole". You can also choose to use an axe or throwing star for additional fun or challenge. It's actually a bit more tiring than it seems. The atmosphere was very welcoming and there were plenty of bathrooms and they were clean and had all supplies stocked. Staff was friendly and helpfulWhen we were done, we were taking selfies near the entrance (there is a backdrop and props), and the hostess offered to take our picture. We both had fun and are looking at going back with the kids.

We were greeted at the entrance by the kindest gentleman, who warmly thanked us for coming. Such a small gesture, but it set the tone for the evening. At the box office, there was a tiny ticket snafu, but the staff handled it quickly and got us squared away in no time. Before the show, we took a few minutes to check out the Titanic artifact display. I always love seeing pieces of history and how they're woven into the experience. Fun Fact: The bestie and I dressed up as the Titanic and the Iceberg for Halloween one year. I attached the picture for giggles. Also, be it known... I was the Iceberg, and I WAS THERE FIRST!!! Naturally, we headed to the bar to grab a drink and some water. The line moved fast, which we appreciated. Our first drink choice, the Cutwater Strawberry Margarita, sounded promising but turned out to be more of a shipwreck than a smooth sail. After a few sips, we tossed it overboard and went back for something else. No Cutwaters were harmed in the making of our evening, just given a respectful burial at sea. As for the show itself, it was fantastic. The props, the staging, the talent, everything drew me in. The story was told beautifully, and I found myself totally captivated. Omaha has some serious talent, and if you haven't been to the Omaha Community Playhouse yet, I highly recommend it. They're celebrating their 100th year, and from what I've seen, they've got a century's worth of magic to be proud of.

They have all of the speakers and equipment already set up and it was one less thing for us to worry about. We first spoke with Jesse, who I believe kind of runs the company and went over a list of what we wanted. They have multiple DJs as part of this company and we were paired with Laci. I have to say it was a spectacular experience! She played the songs from the list of guest requests we had gotten when we asked for RSVPs, she was open to day of requests, and really knew how to keep people coming back to the dance floor. She payed enough attention to notice what types of songs kept people entertained and really made everything flow perfectly! She also played a variety (even some polka for my Czech family.) We got a lot of compliments from guests about the DJ and we could not be happier. The wedding party also really enjoyed that she was friendly, helpful, and funny. I would absolutely recommend this company (and especially Laci) for any event!
