This workshop is for experienced photographers only and those who want to learn from their style. They are doing their thing all day for those in attendance. It's amazing how I can read some negative reviews that complain they didn't take them by the hand, or tell them to stop stuffing their faces and get to work. It is completely up to the participant to observe and get the most out of their investment. If you're not prepared to sweat and work, then don't bother showing up.

I have run my own photography studio specializing in newborns since Jan 2011, and over the years, I've taken a total of 3 classes with K&T. All three have been excellent, and have helped me tremendously, depending on the stage that I was with my posing and photographic artistry. I would say that it's definitely worth the money if you can afford it and if you're looking to become a better artist. K&T are amazing amazing ARTISTS, and if you LOVE newborn photography, and spending a day in their studio and watching them work is like spending a day painting with Picasso. I've just never experienced anyone like them. Even after all these years, it's so clear that they love what they do, and are not jaded at all by what this industry has become (meaning that newborn photography is now a commodity and there are a ton of other people teaching classes that most likely first learned from THEM just a couple of years ago). They are very honest and open, and I've never had a question go unanswered. You have to approach them as great artists first, and not necessarily an elementary school teacher that will sit you down and teach you your abcs. What they do is so natural to them, that you have to keep your eyes and ears peeled and ask questions like "Why did you put that there, why did you turn the head this way, why did you use that kind of material, what would you do in this case, what do you think about this" etc. They will answer everything and then some. I never understood people that go to these workshops and start socializing with other photographers to the point where they miss the action. Hello! You're not there to chit chat about your kids or eat cookies, otherwise why bother?? I wouldn't go to a workshop taught by someone else simply because I refuse to pay money to someone that first went to K&T to learn (or even worse, learned from someone that learned from someone that went to K&T) and then is "teaching" other people. Why wouldn't you go experience the real deal instead of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. Here are some tips to get the most out of your workshop: 1. Get some basic newborn sessions under your belt first, even if they are free models. That will help you get the feel for working with a baby and what issues might arise, and then know what questions to ask. 2. Pay very very close attention to their lighting. Lighting is everything, and how they manipulate it, how much light there is in the room, how far away the baby is from the light source, how the baby is positioned in relation to the light and how many shadows there are on their face, it's all super important. 3. Observe their stylistic sense. Watching them coordinate set-ups is probably like watching Coco Chanel dress up in the morning. The way they feel color and texture is one of a kind and can't be taught like a multiplication table. Pay attention. 4. Keep your eyes and ears peeled and ask a ton of questions. 5. And enjoy!!

October wedding. On the farm. In Nebraska…read more We were looking for a "real" photo booth. Not the "we setup a stage so you can take photos with your mobile phone" type of situation, but the experience of having your photo taken when you're enclosed, squished in and want to be a little over-the-top. We were going to make-do with another vendor until we saw the photo camper at Snap Omaha and instantly fell in love with the idea of parking this vintage camper next to the wedding venue - a red barn. Janine, the owner, was fabulous to work with and so accommodating. After 10 days of rain, we were worried about the weather, the ground (being too soft) and the logistics of getting that camper onto the concrete patio. Not only did they bring it out early, but they also managed to get it into the perfect location for maximum use. The quality of the photos are impressive. Double prints means a nice wedding favor for our guests and a memento for our guest book. Even better, access to all of the digital files means you have copies of all of the photos - including the ones your guests thought they took (with all that incriminating evidence). We rented the photo camper for an extra hour, with the attendant and photobook option. Their pricing sheet breaks down the cost so you can work it into your budget. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable (and competitively priced) it was. My only regret is not taking a photo of the camper because I was too enamored by it. It was beyond perfect.

When I first started looking for a company to work with, I messaged several different photographers and Carmen was the only person I felt at ease collaborating with. Not only did she reply very quickly, her responses were positive & supportive. I was honestly what one would call a complex client as I was unsure of what I really wanted but that is why Carmen is so great! She helped me execute my vision given my directions were quite vague. When time came for the shoot, Carmen led me throughout the session making it effortless! After an hour session we were able to get many shots AND an outfit change in all the while I was sluggish barely being able to move around much at 38 weeks pregnant! The shoot was a success and after a week Carmen and Ryan emailed me the results. I was very happy with the outcome but requested a couple edits and sure enough they made it happen! I was going through my first pregnancy and I was overwhelmed with all the stress and insecurities that come with pregnancy, however Reaction Photography captured my maternity shots seamlessly! I would recommend as everything was well orchestrated, from the start to the end! Thank you Carmen & Ryan

I had found Carmen on Yelp (I'm a big Yelper who listens to reviews) and when I spoke with her on the phone I knew I had found the right person. We were a group of 29 family members, ranging in age from 3 -85 years old . We had 3 sets of families and we needed numerous pictures taken at Gallagher Park. Carmen arrived on time and ready to go. She was professional and truly got every photo we needed. She was calm and helpful and knew exactly what to do. Due to my concern about the weather Carmen was flexible throughout, and was happy to continue taking photos at an inside venue if needed (thankfully the weather was fine and we were able to take all the photos outside). If you are looking for an excellent, creative, professional photographer for any event no need to look further! Carmen is simply the BEST!

After our initial consultation with Kimmylea, we decided to go with the Something Blue package since we were early on in the planning process. With this package we planned alongside Kimmylea and got the day-of coordination. She helped us every step of the way keeping us on track with booking vendors and even recommending vendors as well. Kimmylea was so easy to get into contact with. She always responded in a timely manner and we had several meetings along the way as well which helped us feel prepared. The wedding day was stress-free for my husband and I and our whole family. Kimmylea and Beau set up everything and tore down which was so nice to not have our families worry about. At the end of the night I found out our venue's security guard never showed up and they wouldn't be able to serve alcohol without one. Luckily Beau was able to fill that role due to his occupation. I'm not sure what would have happened if Kimmylea and Beau weren't there, but I'm glad I'll never have to find out. Kimmylea also stepped up when I was feeling uneasy about a last minute DJ switch. She contacted the owner and helped reassure me that everything would be great. If you are looking for a wedding or any type of event planner, look no further. Limelight Expressions will go above and beyond to make your day perfect and stress free!

Alex and Rachelle's creativity, dedication, and passion for our wedding and reception was truly spectacular! They were professional, patient, and fun. Becoming involved in working smoothly with everyone, taking our ideas, and making them work. They think things through and are prepared for changing circumstances. Simply Ballroom is an outstanding company to work with. They provided our DJ/MC Services, Cold Spark Fountains, Lighting, Photo Booth, and the Memory Book. All these services were remarkable. The one service I wasn't prepared for was the coordination services. We did not have a wedding coordinator, and trying to do all this ourselves was overwhelming. We turned those duties over to Rachelle and boom, done. And done well!! Their professional capability enabled them to smoothly match the energy of the changing atmosphere, advise us on the flow of events and they created the perfect playlist. Alex and Rachelle communicated clearly and frequently. This allowed for a relaxed, smooth, and completely low-stress day and evening. Simply Ballroom was, and is, an exceptional company to work with.
