This review is long overdue as I had the pleasure of working with Reaction Photography in the busy month of December. When I first started looking for a company to work with, I messaged several different photographers and Carmen was the only person I felt at ease collaborating with. Not only did she reply very quickly, her responses were positive & supportive. I was honestly what one would call a complex client as I was unsure of what I really wanted but that is why Carmen is so great! She helped me execute my vision given my directions were quite vague. When time came for the shoot, Carmen led me throughout the session making it effortless! After an hour session we were able to get many shots AND an outfit change in all the while I was sluggish barely being able to move around much at 38 weeks pregnant! The shoot was a success and after a week Carmen and Ryan emailed me the results. I was very happy with the outcome but requested a couple edits and sure enough they made it happen! I was going through my first pregnancy and I was overwhelmed with all the stress and insecurities that come with pregnancy, however Reaction Photography captured my maternity shots seamlessly! Carmen was so wonderful. We had a family reunion in Omaha where we celebrated the new fountain, splash pad, play structure and more at Gallagher Park. I had found Carmen on Yelp (I'm a big Yelper who listens to reviews) and when I spoke with her on the phone I knew I had found the right person. We were a group of 29 family members, ranging in age from 3 -85 years old . We had 3 sets of families and we needed numerous pictures taken at Gallagher Park. Carmen arrived on time and ready to go. She was professional and truly got every photo we needed. She was calm and helpful and knew exactly what to do. Due to my concern about the weather Carmen was flexible throughout, and was happy to continue taking photos at an inside venue if needed (thankfully the weather was fine and we were able to take all the photos outside). Our maternity photo shoot with Carmen was beyond amazing! We had a really good time taking the pictures and Carmen made us feel really special :) She is superr nice and professional. Carmen is GREAT!!!! She took my maternity photos in late 2011 before I had my son Parker. Crazy times being a working mom and parent and so I am now just barely getting around to writing this review. I wanted to make sure I did write it so that I can express just how amazing Carmen is!! I wasn't originally planning to get any maternity photos done because I felt like a cow! But was given Carmen's business card and a coupon for a first time client promotion and decided to go ahead and get them done. She only charged us $100 for a one hour photo session, ALL pictures included and touched up. She was very friendly and personable from the start. We spoke over the phone about multiple locations and how I wanted the photos done. We decided to shoot over off the 52 freeway where there are some hiking trails and lots of greenery since I wanted a fall inspired backdrop. Carmen was very flexible and even allowed us to do a wardrobe change since being pregnant I didn't know what would really look good on me in photos. We also brought some colored wood building blocks with the letters of our sons name and Carmen came up with such cute ways to incorporate the blocks into the photos. We took what seemed like thousands of pictures in all different sitting and standing positions in areas around the trails. Carmen wanted to make sure we had a good variety of shots for me to have which was awesome! It only took Reaction Photography less then a month to touch up and send me the cd with all my pictures. Carmen has even taken time over the past year to touch base with me and let me know of deals and specials she is running which I think is super professional of her and what a great way to keep your clients returning for service. Once my son is a little older I will definitely be calling Carmen to schedule another photo shoot!!!!! read more

This review is long overdue but I have not forgotten how great our experience with Carmen was! First off, I was horrible about picking a date and time (I had to cancel a few times because of the weather) and Carmen was VERY accommodating and understanding. Then, she was wonderful with my 6 year old daughter on the day of the shoot and got some beautiful shots. She was able to capture the "look" that I was wanting (my daughter in a flower field) and I loved the prop that she provided (mini sofa). I've added some pictures from our shoot so you can see what I'm talking about. I would definitely recommend her and use her again myself. Happy customer! :) read more

If you are in need of a photographer to document life's most precious events, don't look any further! We used them today for our daughter's newborn photos. Although we couldn't do too many poses due to the baby's fussiness, Carmen was super sweet and professional, and had such amazing patience in getting what shots we could. Carmen has such a wonderful talent for calming newborns... she truly is "the baby whisperer"! I can't wait to see how beautiful the photos of my baby girl turned out! Highly recommend. We just had our family photos taken for the holidays and Carmen was great. She was very nice, we felt comfortable working with her, and she captured some great shots. We received our disc of all photos, including color and black/white, in 3 weeks. She was very accomodating with location, date, time, etc. In addition, her prices were very reasonable. Carmen is very talented and very patient. It helps that she is a master at candid photography because my kids are insane. I planned a beach shoot and it was a mess, the kids were acting crazy and I was terribly embarrassed but Carmen smiled through it all. We threw the whole posing concept out the window and she shot my kids being kids. I've shot with her twice already. My first time was at SDSU and she got all the shots I wanted and more.
