I have been going to Dr. Oh for general health check up for 5 years (even after I moved out of Irvine). Dr. Oh has been creating an environment where I could be more comfortable coming into clinic getting the right professional help that I need. Also, all the receptionist and health care professional working there is very kind and accommodating even with their busy schedules. read more

I have been here a couple of times, once for a cardio appointment with bloodwork, then the follow up. They were really nice, but the wait was a bit longer than I was thinking. Currently (4/5/19 at 8:21 am - been here since 8 am) I have an appointment for an annual physical and bloodwork scheduled for 8:30am. The door is locked, and no one is answering the phones. Why do the office reps schedule appointments 30-45 minutes before the office is even open? Doesnt make too much sense... They said to show up atleast 15 minutes before the time, and no one is here. I have to be at work today by 10 (will be at least 2 hours late) and hopefully someone shows up soon.... Not complaining though, the chairs in the lobby by the elevators are comfy. read more

I found my doctor in Irvine and it was nice to meet Mr. Oh. Thank you for treating my family well.

Great experience and love the staff. Doctor answered all my questions and sent me on my merry way.

Dr. Oh is a very dedicated and excellent clinician. He takes great care of his patients.

This office is so horrible! Do not pick him as your PCP. You would think the doctor cares about their patients well being. I needed a refill but the Dr. refused to refill my prescription because I had two missed appointments. One was for an ultrasound that he pushed on me so he could bill my insurance for more money. And who would want to be in a doctors office especially now with Covid-19? How horrific. You would think as a doctor that he cares more about helping people other than seeing the bottom line. Either that or he got his wife working as a receptionist and making all the decisions. Either way, do not pick him as your pcp. I just changed mine, thank goodness! read more

Dr. Oh and his Team have turned my moms health around completely and I can't thank them enough for the GREAT work they continue to do. From taking 13 prescription medications and a daily inhaler per day with a previous Doctor to NOW taking 1/2 of that with NO daily inhaler WITH Dr. Oh. Dr. Oh was able to modify her medications and her health within the first 6 months under his care and continued to help her to date. That's what you call great work! When you see your 75 years young mom feeling good again about herself AND her health, you know the Doctors office have the right formula for a Happy, Healthy living. Kuddos!! read more

They tell my new insurance coverage is not effective till next week and I have to pay doctor visit cost out of my pocket ( which I did),but few months later ,I get mail from blue cross saying doctor charge my insurance for $400++++. This is clearly insurance fruad. Also they don't do test result by phone, because they want you to come in so that they can charge you for another doctor visit fee. Total ripoff. read more

The staff at Dr Oh office is very kind and helpful. I went to this doctor for a bit for things here and there. Was not thrilled with him but his office hours were convenient and his office was close to my work. I switched insurance for about a year, which meant a new doctor. I just switched jobs so I have new insurance again and so I went back to this doctor on Friday for my weight. This doctor called me fat and said I was eating to much McDonald's, did not care about my genetics I was there asking for help but instead this narcissistic doctor decided it would be better to put me down. Call me names, and tell me I wasn't trying, and I was lying about what I was doing instead of actually helping me I left his office in tears to the staff he was the worst doctor I've ever encountered and I will never be back. Now mind you I do not eat McDonald's, I exercise daily, have had over 4 children, I'm perimenopausal already had bed. Seeing a dietitian because I didn't deep prove to him, he told me I was lying and then I wasn't trying hard enough I asked him do you think I sit all day and eat bonbons he said no McDonald's. I can't stand McDonald's at work 50 to 60 hours a week constantly on the go like really what if I had an eating disorder or was suicidal he would've sent me over the edge I cannot suggest this doctor and I will be turning him in tonight. Only the medical board but to all of his medical groups. Thank God I have a PPO and have choices, but some people don't have choices and have to actually think that they have to tolerate this abuse, I am beyond pissed and yes, I did stand up for myself and will never allow anyone to treat me like this, especially when I was reaching out for help. He's a disgrace and not how healthcare should be but unfortunately, that's more of the norm and not rethink your decision about this doctor if he's done it to me who else has he done it to? There is no excuse for his behavior the staff even looks miserable and as if there are under strict dictatorship. His office is filthy and the blinds in some of the rooms are broken by no means shut this man be practicing with his horrible ethics read more

I need zero star for this review Dr. oh looks like he has some anger and hared toward his patients. He's RUDE and MEAN. When I talked with him, he asked me what medication I took for my previous symptoms and when, I was trying to remember an exact date that i took it but I wasn't sure about it so I said like " 3years ago maybe? I'm not sure about it actually." He became upset and emotional being frustrated by me. 'Hey, I don't get what you're saying! Make sense to me!" As his way of speaking is so rude and weird, I didn't feel comfortable, and after telling him about my symptom, he started judging people who are worried and caring about their health too much. What is his point? I think he needs some psychiatric help or should receive psychological counseling. And the medication that he prescribed was not working, it didn't help. He should change his attitude and study more as a doctor. But staffs at his office are chill and very nice making me comfortable. read more

Horrible bedside manners, and does not consider the the patient as a whole. Not ever coming back here!!!

Dr. Oh wrote down the note that my aunty has Alzheimer started without even a single test. My aunty had all the tests after her surgery in Hawaii and everything came out as normal. She was supposed to move into nursing home today; now she can't until she gets verified again. Per Dr. Oh, he wrote it down because she is taking a pill helping her memory. Seriously, I don't understand how doctor can write something without even a proper test. read more

As yelpers could see my other reviews, i have been pretty generous and very careful on writing reviews on local businesses, and don't give bad ones unless the practice is totally out of common sense. Well he definitely is one of them, actually the worst one from what I have been observing so far. I have been taking my dad to this doctor since he was in HMO network, and my dad doesn't speak english very well, so I was looking for a Korean speaking doctor. He was pretty kind at the first visit, but the next following visits have been nightmares. (he probably found out my dad had HMO insurance, not PPO or cash) Rude and humiliated my dad every single time!!! for no reason!! Don't even think about asking him any question. He will verbally slap you left and right and smack your chicks till bleed. Furthermore his diagnoses are NOT consistent at all and he doesn't even remember what he just said, so if you ask him back with any sense of challenging his diagnoses or explanation? then verbal UFC with you starts again. Basically you have to shut up and just listen whatever he says. Ohh boy.. i am so angry.. this is the sixth visit with my dad and he has done that to my dad every single time and we are so done and done!!! Can't hold it back any more!!! I am in the process of switching the doctor for my dad right now.. read more

Came to Dr. Oh for immigration medical exam. Very nice and polite staff, and Dr. Oh was very helpful too. The only problem you may encounter is the waiting line. I've been a patient of Dr. Oh for over 8 years as soon as I was place of employment offered me medical insurance. I chose Dr. Oh's office because it is very close to where I live not knowing what sort of experience I will have. Dr. Oh and the staff have ALWAYS been very nice, polite, and respectful of me as their patient. Dr. Oh is very knowledgeable in treating me during my visits and always encourages me to pursue and maintain great health results and compliments me when I do. He explains everything I need to know about my visits and answers any questions I may have. Their office is always clean and I rarely have to ever wait long. If I have to wait, it's because they are busy with other patients. To me, that's not inefficiency in their part. It shows a thriving business because people want to go there. I remember a few years ago, they were in a smaller office a few doors down and have relocated to a much larger office. That definitely shows a successfully growing business. They always work around my personal schedule when I need to make an appointment and they've accommodated me when I have a last-minute need to for an unscheduled appointment. To make things easier, I called ahead. I would recommend people to this health care office! read more

1/16/2016. Putting them back to 5 stars. Staff really cares and so does doctor. Previous visit I had to wait awhile. Most of the time it is really quick. He is popular so sometimes there is a wait. Yearly health check looks great. Maybe lose a couple pounds. . Thanks Dr. oh! 1/6/2016. Latest update... Office opens up at 8:30am, my appointment is at 8:45am. Still waiting in lobby at 9:17 Not cool!!! Original review: referred to Dr. Oh by a friend who has used him for years. I have seen him now about nine times now for various reasons. When I had my annual blood work done, he spent time going over all the results. Plus they can take your blood sample there and have it processed without you having to go to a lab (big plus). I have always book in the morning, so I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes. The staff up front are very friendly. Very clean environment and super convenient for me. I would recommend him as your primary doctor. read more

This doctor is very very insulting and unprofessional. I came here twice the first time to get a refill of my vitamins and the other time within two - three days back to back, I came to get my throat pain checked and get a prescription to see a specialist of ear, nose, throat. This unknown, very insulting doctor was no help. I ended up very unset because he has issues that he is putting on me and mocking patients as if the visit to see a doctor was (he is unhappy with his life) and baffles it to me as a patient. He obviously is not a good doctor. I cannot believe he is practicing? Take a look at his business card, it tells you to do not see this doctor. read more

Do not go to this place. They just want to get you to come in and take all the money they can from you. The receptionist will each give you inconsistent information regarding payment, nurse can't answer basic questions about what is low blood pressure and what can cause it (basic knowledge you should have learned in medical school) and doctor didn't show up until over 45 min past my scheduled appointment time and was rude when I asked him questions that he didn't feel like answering. read more

I have been on Yelp for five years and this is only my fourth review. In the past, I gave FIVE-Stars to my eye doctor, appliance repairman, and my guitar mechanic. I feel compelled to share my experiences with Dr. Oh Moon Mock of Irvine, CA. In 2014 (from January to December), I chose Dr. Mock. I am a fairly low-maintenance patient with no major ailments. I get a cold now & then, need two reoccurring meds for cholesterol/blood pressure, and get an occasional injury from sports. I visited their office about 6 times and have needed an occasional blood test (to continue my meds). Here are some facts: - Dr. Mock's English is Difficult to Understand. I am an American-born Korean, and I can only understand about 25% of his words. - Dr. Mock's has no Patience. One time around March, I had two quick questions (minor ones... 1-Requesting for a muscle relaxer for a backache, and 2-A question about my diet). The doctor got angry & short with me because he was busy. I witness his short-temper on another occasion, too. - No follow-up on Tests. One time around June, he directed me for a blood test. For two months, I heard nothing. Dr. Mock lost my lab-test, forgot about me, and he ended up following-up with the lab to re-retrieve my results. - Dr. Mock is Not willing to Collaborate with other Doctors. My father had colon cancer so automatically I'm a high-risk. In August Dr. Mock referred me for a colonoscopy. A small polyp was found and removed. On a subsequent visit to Dr. Mock in September, I brought in the colonoscopy report to review. Dr. Mock refused to look or discuss it. He lectured me to call the other doctor. Again he showed his anger. - Dr. Mock erroneously diagnosed me with Cancer. I wanted to get life insurance for my wife and kids. I had the insurance company contact Dr. Mock for my medical records. Unbeknownst to me in October, my records erroneously indicated I had Prostate Cancer. It was a mistake (thank God) and it was removed from my records with an apology. They waived the co-payment on my next visit. In my opinion, Dr. Mock is difficult to understand, short-tempered, and incompetent. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. read more

It was one of my WORST Dr. visit experiences. He is rude, and judgmental. He has a very bad attitude, is not sensitive, and is not knowledgeable. I would not go there anymore, and would not recommend him to anybody. read more

There's nothing more disappointing than meeting a doctor who misses a diagnosis and neglects to perform a medical work up. I am a physician myself and am distraught to learn how Dr. Oh can determine my father is "normal" and then just send him away?? Not only that, he kept trying to coerce my parents to not change doctors. If you need to try that hard, that says something already. My father's condition remains undiagnosed. Treatment has not begun. Recovery is delayed. It's borderline malpractice. I'm so upset that I wish to report this to the medical board. read more

I've been going to this guy for about a year but changing as of next month. This guy is a short-tempered, arrogant and disrespecful troll. The guy just looks mad for some reason. When questions are asked, he won't give you straight answers but throws out some sarcastic remarks. Not only his horrible attitude problem, but he will not blink that you've waited over an hour...This guy should have chosen another profession, it's a damn shame he still has a practice. The girls that work there are nice and feel sorry for them having to deal with this low-life individual on daily basis. There are too many good doctors out there, don't waste your time and money with this guy. read more

First, I will start with the positive. I needed to find a doctor to see me ASAP for a new patient appt because I had just gone to the ER. There was more than a one month wait for most doctors in my area, but Dr. Oh's wonderful staff got me in within less than a week. Dr. Oh's STAFF are friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help me (responsive by email, printing lab locations, sending patient requested documents). Dr. Oh came in with an arrogant attitude, didn't care to hear about my issues, and reluctantly gave me a referral even though it was requested from ER. He was impatient when I asked any questions and dismissed my concerns. I asked if he could test my Vitamin D level because my prior doctor was concerned and gave me a prescription for it. He said "it doesn't matter anyway what your level is...if it's high, take multivitamin, if it's normal, take multivitamin, if it's low still take multivitamin...the result DOESN'T MATTER". He reluctantly ordered the test. Then, I had a couple other quick issues, and he told me "MORE, we already spent a lot of time with you". REALLY, what doctor would say that?! You have been with me for 10 minutes and I've never been the type to waste others' time. One positive thing I have to say about DR. Oh is that he did call me personally to give me the lab test results. I worked with and received care from the highest quality physicians at Cedars Sinai and most were humble and genuinely concerned about their patients and care they provide. I'm not sure if it is a cultural thing but I need a doctor who is more caring and listen to their patient, so I'll be changing doctors. read more

I wish there was zero star rating... I've visited Dr. Oh several times so far, and the experience is getting worse. Below the worst... He is very irresponsible and lack of knowledge. I've been a patient of Dr. Oh for a little over 2 years and really enjoy having him as my primary care physician. I've even gone to some great length of personal hardship to keep him as my doctor. First, my company switched out preferred insurance plans, effectively raising my monthly premiums to continue on my existing plan (which was the only one offered that still had Dr. Oh in network). Second, I moved from Irvine to Aliso Viejo, which made commuting a bit harder to and from Dr Oh's office. If those don't speak to the value I place on having him as my doctor, then read on. I would say that I am probably a little more involved in medical research than the average person. When I was diagnosed with an illness/syndrome in the past (such as having Obstructive Sleep Apnea [OSA], or male pattern baldness), I have often delved head-first into extensively researching PubMed articles to learn more about the latest published findings on efficacies of medical and pharmacological treatments. (Quick note: I don't come from a medical background, nor am I a hypochondriac. I just happen to have a bit of education in this area during my time pursuing a Health-Sector-based MBA up in Boston quite a few years back. So, I happen to know a bit about how modern medicinal practices develop, and how changes are made to them due to new evidence-based scientific publishings.) When I did inquire on a few of the illnesses/syndromes I'd researched to Dr. Oh, he did a great job of explaining to me (at a high-level) many of the treatment options and the efficicies each had. He convinced me (without knowing that I had done the same research myself) that he knew the latest research findings very well on each area. Not only did he know the latest and best treatments, but he built out an adjusted treatment plan that fit my particular case and severity. Personalized medicine at its finest! Overall, I feel like Dr Oh's practice of medicine is just the right balance of friendly, informed, and supportive guidance. He really sits down and takes the time to present an overall health perspective for me and how best to improve my health in areas of concern. His staff is friendly and does a great job in reminding me of upcoming visits. I enjoy my visits at his office and look forward to continuing to have him as my primary care physician...even if it's a bit further of a drive than I'd like. read more

This has been my primary care doctor for the past 4 years!! He is so dedicated, nice, and detailed. I had secondary hyperthyroidism and he drew out what hormones I was lacking and explained it in such good detail so I can fully understand what's going on with my body. Some people on yelp may think he's arrogant or "mean", but from also being Korean, I can tell that that is his normal tone of voice and he does not mean to be arrogant or mean at all! He is so nice and caring and wants the best for his patients at a decent price. I also suffered from the worst acne ever and went here and he recommended intense pulse lighting for my skin and prescribed me medication for my acne. My skin has actually never looked this great. I only had a pimple once in a while and I was confident without putting makeup on because the treatment I received here was so great and effective! My skin has never been this clear and I wish I knew about this place earlier. Highly recommend this wonderful doctor:) read more
