Aubrey, the young lady that took care of me on my visit, was expectational , friendly, outstanding, customer service and patient. Visiting from out of town after a 5k in Sandy Lake, PA, on my way to Astubula OH and in need of bread , and sweet treats for adopted family visiting. I ended up spending under $12, for assortment of cookies, sliced Italian bread, two turnovers and a peach muffin, and decorative cookie. Defintly, im sure a favorite for locals, and can understand and agree. Conveniently located in a plaza, well worth it, glad I discovered this gem. As always thanks fellow Yelpers.

From the outside you will note that the building definitely needs a little love, but within you'll find a classic cozy coffee spot for a warm beverage and a tasty brunch. My most recent visit was an early morning where I think we caught them a little off guard. It would seem the college crowd doesn't make it in until after 10 on the weekends. It seems like it is worth it to look them up online and have a good idea of what you want beforehand. This is one of those spots where there is a large menu behind the counter and some small paper menus by request. Basically it forces you into that awkward engagement before you've really had a chance to check things out. A West Coast Breakfast Sandwich on a Bagel with a Mocha hit the spot for me. Portions are modest, so you don't have to worry to much about overeating. It was a nice way to break up the holiday weekend monotony. The bakehouse was having a soft opening and this was their first day. The owners, Jon and Christy, explained they had been running their business out of their home kitchen for five years. Jon joked he wanted his kitchen back. Don't let the small storefront fool you - this is a bakery, or course, but they also serve a delicious coffee from the Dominican Republic. A comfortable seating area behind the front counter offers couches and chairs and a small counter to enjoy your selections. I had the Blueberry Crumb Cake and a cup of coffee. The cake was freshly baked and delicious and the coffee was bold and freshly brewed. I completely enjoyed my treats here. Now for the maintenance items - the restaurant was clean and inviting. The restroom was clean as well. The chairs and couches in the lounge area were comfortable and relaxing. I caught them right after opening so the full selection wasn't out but what I took to the office was a big hit. I even grabbed a couple day old for myself which were still pretty tasty.
