This was my first time in 15 years coming back to try Latin American Grill in Pembroke Pines…read more When my family used to live in Pembroke Pines, I remember stopping by to grab colada and sandwiches for quick lunch every weekend with my friends before going out. It was one of more affordable lunches for us back then. Not much has changed in all the years. The food quality is still decent, the prices are still affordable, and the customer service is still friendly. It was a nice experience to stop by for a simple breakfast and colada. It helped me reminisce about my life from years ago, how much has changed for the better now, but still missing how some things were back then. Maybe it wasn't a simple dining experience for me today, maybe motivation for me to check in on some people from way back then to see if they are still doing well. Thanks Latin American Grill for still being at the same location and reminding me to reach out to people I haven't spoken to in years. They offer plenty of free parking in this plaza. I would recommend this place to others and maybe be back next time I am in Pembroke Pines area.

This long standing Pines eatery was quite a pleasant experience recently. I had the seafood jalea,…read morecrispy plantain strips with the garlic crack sauce , yucca mojo and black beans. Everything is so fresh! The jalea is piled high with lightly breaded shrimp, squid, fish bites and lobster tails! More than enough for 3 people to share. The sides appear under seasoned at first taste but the flavors really sink in during leftovers that reheat well. Be forwarded this is family style portions so if you order a lot of it alone it's more than one meal for you. Empanadas are crispy and fresh and generously filled. Chicken soup is under seasoned and the chicken is dry I would pass. Fried fish is a generous portion that also reheats well! Juan is an amazing manager that cares for his staff. Service is just ok, I think Spanish speaking may get you a more warm & genuine experience. The restaurant is clean and large with a winding bar area. Beer and wine and fresh OJ are available among other refreshments. They are doing it well here.

The portion was generous, everything tasted fresh, and all the flavors worked really well together. I also had their lemonade, which was refreshing and tasted natural--not overly sweet or artificial. The food was so good that I decided to return with my family and dine at the restaurant. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The service was attentive, and the staff took good care of us. There were only two small issues during our dine-in visit. My Paisa Bowl seemed to have much less steak than my takeout order--probably only three or four strips. Also, my brother ordered his steak medium-rare, but it arrived extremely well-done. Thankfully, the staff handled it well and replaced it without any problem, which we appreciated. Despite those details, we had a very good experience. The food has so much flavor, tastes fresh, and is definitely worth coming back for. We'll be returning!

Unfortunately, the beef in the picada was extremely chewy so we couldn't eat it (my dogs enjoyed it at home). La punta gorda had zero flavor. Las papas criollas were dripping oil when bit. I am only giving a 3 star because of the service. The waiters were nice and attentive, and the host was super sweet to my girls. I think this place is good for breakfast. I've heard they have the best coffee, just not for lunch.

Immediately greeted upon entry with smiles from the two staff members. I started my brunch with a hot Cortadito and a huge Pan de Bono. The main entree was scrambled eggs & ham including a chocolate milk for only $11.99. Both meals were on the table within ten minutes and were tasty. This restaurant was not busy for brunch but easily could sit large parties with twenty tables. The bathroom was clean but basic.

From the outside, the building looks a little run down but once inside you could never tell. We ordered the Super Antojitos Atlakat. My friends complimented the crispness of the pork belly. The meal was filling for 3 of us with left overs. Seems like they have a great lunch menu and the prices are very reasonable.

When I arrived, I was surprised they had more tables than I was expecting. There wasn't a wait, but it was full. They also have counter seating with a tv if you're into that. I ordered pupusas "revueltas." For those who might not know, a pupusa is a traditional Salvadoran dish made from thick corn tortilla stuffed with a mixture of ingredients. "Revueltas" or "mixed/scrambled" which I ordered is a combo of beans, cheese and pork mixture which is blended and filled inside the pupusa. It's served with a type of cabbage salad and tomato sauce. So good. I also ordered a tamale which was delicious as well. This is my go-to place when I'm looking for Salvadoran. Try it!
