​​ yesterday November the 25th I went to oval to get a silk press I received services from a student who didn't look like she normally worked on natural hair and she has someone that was assisting her they both did a fantastic job I go to Ogle whenever I want my hair still pressed like twice a year my hair is natural so I asked them have they ever worked on natural hair before and they said yes so I was a little skeptic but we proceeded with the hair appointment they checked my scab and they told me my scalp was very healthy and my hair was very healthy they washed conditioned and detangled my hair bloated out then they pressed it and put curls in it thank you oval for another fabulous hairdo today is Tuesday November 26th 2024 and my hair is still bouncy curly and looking fabulous. Shout out to my stylist Tabitha (Tab) for my beautiful color, trim and style today. I've been to this location several times and this is my second color and it being Tabitha's first color she did an amazing job!! Her instructor Mrs.Brittney does a great job teaching her students and demonstrates what it takes to be a great stylist. I seen her do a pixie cut on a mannequin and I was very impressed how detailed she was with walking her other students through the process. These two ladies have a great heart and spirit. I've been to this school plenty of times to get my hair done and get a ponytail and today I went and the front desk lady "Dian Burns-Yell" told me I couldn't receive the service I wanted her exact words were "these rules were not implemented at once and now they are" which is funny because again I've done this service before with no problems. I just felt as if she was being funny and I will not be back here!!!! And another thing when I called and booked the appointment no one said anything if you implementing new rules that should've been said on the phone as I was booking my appointment totally unprofessional. read more

We pay $2600+ a month for my wife to go to this school and she has to spend her money on materials and they steal them. There's no security and no security for your personal items. They steal each others products and it is very unprofessional. No cameras to show you the frauds stealing peoples things. And every time it happens they just tell you they didn't see anything. FIRST & LAST TIME EVER COMING HERE!!! This post is completely based on JASMINE BROWN! Yesterday my daughter had by far the worst experience ever... To start off when I arrived there around 4 pm I was told walk ins are welcome, but I was told something about the class being at 3. My daughter really wanted to get her haircut so I proceeded with making an appointment for her to get a haircut at 6:30. When we arrived we waited for the lady to come to take my daughter to the back for her haircut... so the lady comes and it's Jasmine, okay no problem. I tell her the haircut my daughter wants. Which was a simple straight cut and some hair bangs. I told her the specific length. She said okay, what style? I replied by saying oh no she just wants her straight haircut and bangs. She suggested 2 braids. So I told her any style that would compliment the haircut. 1 hr and a half later my daughter comes out with 2 dutch braids. Well I see her and I wonder where her bangs are. Jasmine still saw me in a way ask my daughter about her bangs. And she then said "Oh yea, she knew exactly what haircut she wanted" & I replied to her saying oh I know, she has been waiting all weekend for her bangs and haircut... Being happy that my daughter finally got her haircut, and got a style I proceeded by paying the service $12 and by tipping Jasmine $10... I leave and as we are heading home my daughter then tells me. Mom can you wash my hair when we are home so you can see my haircut. Seeing that my daughter now looks upset I immediately undo her hair, just to discover the most crappy work anyone even a "Learning student" has done... NO HAIR BANGS & 3 INCHES SHORTER FROM THE LENGTH SHE WAS TOLD. I drove back ASAP! Who comes to the door? JASMINE. Oh what's wrong? She asked I told her I had asked her for bangs and not only did she not cut her bangs, but that she also cut it shorter. She then still had the nerve to ask "oh you undid her whole hair?" As I'm still trying to hold back from going off on her. Sam and another Hispanic girl come (wish I would've gotten her name. She was very sweet) to see what is happening. So I explain it again. Jasmine still then has more attitude and says okay "What solution do you want? If I fix her hair it's only going to be shorter" So then I proceeded by telling them "If I paid for a service I expect that service to be done" I kindly asked the other 2 ladies if anyone else but Jasmine could please cut my daughter some simple bangs. As I said that Jasmine walked away and quickly talked to her other classmates about me returning, not wanting her to the haircut, but she still received a tip. As I walk back with my daughter I just hear some other random girl say Well if she tipped you oh well. Jasmine then said God is good. Again holding myself back I didn't even bother to answer to that. If I had known Jasmine basically uses braids to cover up the horrible mess she makes I would've never tipped her!!!!! & yes if she did a horrible job why would I even allow her to touch her hair once again? To make it worst NOT once did she bother to apologize to my daughter. Anyways as I will never be coming back, I will make sure to share this in every way possible for everyone to know the type of Students this place has. As I do belive that GOD is good... I hope he blesses Jasmine with a new pair of eyes and ears because it's very obvious her eyes and ears weren't working at their full potential yesterday. read more

Students were allowed to physically fight in the parking lot when drama was created on the floor. Professionalism is the least thing being taught. Threats were made to many students. Love this place! Will definitely go back for all my salon needs. My first impression when I walked in was this place is pretty modern and the girls are so friendly. My stylist was Anna, and although she was a student, her customer service and hair skills were on point. She listened to me very carefully, considered all my request, and gave helpful suggestions. On top of that, their instructors were constantly going around and making sure everything was going smoothly; they'd give their input on the style and literally help out (at one point I had both Anna and her instructor working on my ombré). The shampoo was relaxing, they take their time and constantly ask if you're feeling comfortable. My cut, shampoo, blow out style and ombré hair cost me $55! That's an amazing price considering everything I had done could've cost me up to $250 (I have very long hair) at most salons. I'm definitely going back for all my salon needs as I see they do nails and make up too! Great job ogle! Keep up the professionalism! read more

I'm not quite sure how to feel about this place. I loved our stylist, but hated the operation. My daughter was in desperate need of a trim, and no other place was taking appointments past 6 PM. I decided to try my luck at Ogle School. I understand that it is a school. I have had a lot of experience getting work done at beauty schools. I don't expect the same service level or knowledgeability as a normal salon... but, all things considered, the experience was pretty rocky. My daughter is 4 years old, fairly well behaved, and has had haircuts in several salons (Snip-Its, Visible Changes, Blue Mambo, etc.). She behaves about as well as a kid can during a cut. I called ahead and they confirmed that they do cut children's hair. The hairstylist, Jessica, was super sweet and patient. Jessica surveyed me with questions such as "What is the main problem you have with her hair?" and "What 3 words best describe the look you're going for?" Everything was going great until we headed off for shampoo. For those who don't know, most people don't shampoo/condition young kids because... 1) It can be uncomfortable/frightening for young children to prop their head up and back on the sink, and 2) Booster seats aren't built to allow a small child to comfortably/safely prop their head back. I was a bit freaked out when Jessica tried to prop the booster seat on the chair arms to shampoo my toddler's hair. I ended up cradling her, but all attempts to shampoo were a fail. With the questionnaire, and shampoo fail, it took us a long time to get started. Jessica also took a while to figure out how she would cut the hair, where her bangs started, etc. I was shocked that although the cut was $9, my daughter's hair was considered "extra long" (even though it's really not long), and that tacks on another $10. That's $19 for a kid's cut. Besides all this, my daughter ended up with lovely bangs and well blended layers. I don't blame Jessica at all for the mishaps. This being a school, the instructors need to observe more, so that the student's don't end up with a bunch of unhappy clients. Shouldn't the instructor check the client's hair afterwards to see if everything was done right? Jessica will be a great hair stylist some day, given her caring nature and scissor skills, but Ogle School definitely needs to step up their game and step down the prices. read more

The Ogle School is located at the Fountains in Stafford. The location is pretty visible and easily accessible from 59. I came here today for a basic facial and back treatment. They offer various types of skin treatments, but it being my first time I opted to the basic in both treatments. The basic facial was $25 and it was worth it. A very sweet girl named Liz helped me today. Remember all technicians here are students and she was only a couple of days away from graduation. She first asked me a series of questions regarding my skin and my concerns. Once that was done, she took me back to the spa room. Which reminded me of a hospital recovery room. Lol The treatment began with my partial body treatment, which was $35. She applied a variety if creams and scrubs that made my back feel squeaky clean. Next, she proceeded with the facial. I will say nothing too special about it, but it was relaxing and the scrubs and creams felt great. I would have loved to have had a more in-depth facial, with more black head removal. Reminding myself this is a school and the technicians are students, it was a wonderful experience. Reasonably prices and services are great. I will be returning at a later date for another facial soon. You do have to make an appointment. And they do have appointments on Saturdays. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. So, if you don't mind being worked on by a future wonder, I suggest you try them out! read more

Great prices, get my daughters hair flat ironed very reasonable. Some of the techs are sensitive, but they sometimes talk about your hair negatively as if you can't hear them. They should step away and talk if they have something negative to say about the client they should be sensitive as to how the client may feel. It is hit or miss, and the always add $10 for longer hair so you practically have to be bald to pay a standard price listed. But I got 2 kids done for $65, 1 had a perm , both had flat iron. read more

I had a pretty good experience here yesterday. Check in with front desk was a little slow and cold, no one acknowledged me for 20 minutes. But after I got my appointment figured out things ran much smoother. I went in for a cut/style and eyebrow wax. Prices are great and I would highly recommend Chaunice (she went by Niecy). She was thorough, professional, attentive, and friendly. I felt extremely comfortable working with her, and she had her instructor double check everything - they had no critiques. It was a bargain and I will be using her going forward! The brow wax was was ok but the wax wasn't as hot as I would like. I think I'll go back to my regular spot for brows. Went in for a perm on Monday November 13,2017. I had an appointment set for 5pm. When I went back with the student sat down and tried numerous times to explain what type of perm I wanted. A perm were I could get up take a shower but curl gel in my hair go through it with my fingers and go. I even told them what color perm rods that my last perm was done with.(not at this school) I was told no no that won't give you what you want. Showed them pictures of how my hair looked after it was set in curlers. Told them that was the size curls I want. They finally figured out ( so I was led to believe) and so started me sitting in a chair for another 3 hours. I was already there an hour. You have to understand my hair is about 2-3 inches pass my shoulders. The girl put blue rods in which is one of the smallest perm rods. So next was the perm solution. She only used one bottle which I was surprised, sat the normal time. The whole time while the rolling of the rods and rinsing and the bottle to neutralizer to unrolling the rods and the small trim that was done . NOT ONE INSTRUCTOR CAME BY TO CHECK. I asked about why there wasn't more curl and I was told it will it's just pulled from being cut. Well, it didn't and had next to no wave in it. Well, due to holidays and traveling I was finally able to get back in a month after the perm. They wanted me to pay for another perm nope. My hair is fried as it is from the first one. The instructor told me they never should have used that rod on my hair and the perm solution could have never reached all the hair in each rod. All they did was a deep conditioning which I still had to pay for and use the correct rods I wanted used when I got my perm. Set my hair had me sit for an hour and a half under a hot dryer. Yes my hair was curled but when I washed it this morning my hair is straight and I have bad split ends again. Don't go here run away fast!!!! Will be asking for a full refund and the difference when I went and had my hair fixed correctly. Oh and the students that don't have customers are eating, drinking and watching TV or on Facebook. I am on the fence about Ogle. I started getting my hair straightened and now my hair is permanently damaged from high heat. I no longer have that beautiful curl pattern that I once loved. But, perhaps this is what is inevitable once you add heat to your hair. The styles may be pretty, but it so not worth the damage. I must add that I used to go to a place and get my hair straightened but experienced no damage from the heat or at least very little. I only went to Ogle because my sister gave me a gift card for my birthday. I liked the style and unfortunately continued to get my hair flat ironed, so hence the heat damage. That explained, the customer service is fairly good and the stylists are quite friendly. Just keep in mind, they are still learning. read more
