The countertop in the master bath started to crack in the narrow area between the sink and the edge of the countertop. No fault of the installer, its what you have to gamble with when dealing with a natural stone product. I contacted the builder who in turn had CS Tops Inc,, the original installer, come out. They showed up just two days after I'd contacted the builder and gave me the decision between repairing the crack or replacing the the whole top. Worried that I might have problems several years down the road I decided to go with a replacement. When Chad, the owner, came out to do the install he was running (literally) a few minutes late but he called me from his car to let me know and showed up less than 5 minutes later. Chad was good about removing his shoes as well as having his crew, who were also working on another two houses under construction, remove theirs before entering my house. The install went well and everything looks wonderful. Chad even went the extra mile and touched up a small area on the new granite that didn't quite match the rest, Again, this is something everyone has to deal with with natural stone. When he was finished I gave him the thumbs up on the job. Now as to the extraordinary part. I mentioned to Chad that I was going to put up some blinds in the window over the kitchen sink. He cautioned me about not putting too much weight on the countertop in that area as it didn't have much support because of the layout of the sink and cabinets. I said I guess I'd better play it safe and hire a professional to do the install. Chad went back to work on the countertop in the bathroom and a few minutes later came out to the livingroom where I was sitting and said he'd help me put the blinds in! Kudos to Chad Stephens! You were SUPER kind to help me out when you didn't have to. The blinds are up, the kitchen countertop is still all in one piece, a state I'm sure it wouldn't be in if I had decided to do it myself. Chad even went so far as to give me tips on the care of the countertop and even some cleaning tips on making my stainless steel sink keep looking its best. (tip 'Bartenders Friend for cleaning/polishing and WD 40' for removing hard water stains) I wholeheartedly recommend CS Tops Inc., and I never do something like that easily.

We had picked out the idea for our countertops before he passed, so I knew what I was looking for. I found such a stone pattern at Granite Connection. I was told it was a very popular pattern. Once it was installed, I noticed the largest piece of the main counter, that fed into the waterfall, had what looked like water stains. I called. Someone came out...twice. The gentleman, one of the owners, tried a series of things to remedy the problem. He admitted there was a flaw...that it looked like something was on the stone when it was sealed. He was going to have his partner come look at it. That didn't happen. He came back again and said it would do more damage than good for him to sand it down to get to those stains. He claimed he wanted me to be happy. I was nervous about tearing off the countertops that were just placed on brand new custom cabinets! AND I was told the granite I had installed was no longer carried there. (Clearly I got the last piece...the garbage piece no one wanted) When I approached the owner about perhaps discounting the job to save my cabinets...and since they no longer carried my choice..., he was a complete and total "jerk". Left me in tears and now with $10,000 granite countertops that I try to hide. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Upon addressing these concerns with the sales representative, I was met with an unprofessionally aggressive verbal response, which is unacceptable for any client interaction. The sales representative attributed all issues to the customer. I subsequently had to discontinue communication with her. Conversely, the backsplash installer has demonstrated exceptional dedication in rectifying the errors, consistently exceeding expectations. I highly recommend his services for any project.

They provided a drawing prior so I could see what it was going to look like and I was able to make a couple of changes which was nice. The reason why I did not give an excellent rating is the new stainless steel sink they provided I noticed after they left had several scratches on it. When I called the sales Rep Braden, he said it could have been the plumber who scratched it when he hooked everything back up. No one knows for sure. But the new sink I'm not sure is as good quality as my old one as it seems to scratch more easily than my old one. Overall, they did a good job on the granite installation.

She told me they had a few off-cuts and I could have one free of charge. I went there to pick one up and saw that the one I wanted had rough, sharp edges. I offered to pay them to clean up that edge and trim the piece a bit and they did it for free. I was not able to get them to take my money for this material and their labor. I can't imagine that any bad reviews here are valid. I've never been treated so nicely by a company who didn't make a penny off me. Melissa was so kind and courteous to me it was as if I were a customer paying for an expensive custom job. The guys in the shop were also very helpful.
