I am here often and am very satisfied with the quality of cleaning they provide. I have also had a few things altered and they listen to the changes I want to make and get them done. I checked in at 730ish because they advertise 1 hour dry cleaning. I asked for same day as this was for a funeral the next day. He informed me that the machines do not run on Thursday. I asked if there were any other dry cleaners in the area. He told me he does not know of any. The older guy came off rude and unhelpful. I Google dry cleaners in Poway. I was able to find Poway Cleaning Club off poway road. So in a way I'm happy ogden dry cleaners were unable to help me because Mike at poway cleaning club was amazing and I even got my husband's suit back early. I would recommend poway cleaning club to anyone that needs dry cleaning needs. read more

Worst experience in 50 years with a clothes cleaning establishment. Took in two (2) table cloths and thirteen (13) napkins. Arrived this morning to pickup and was given a $76.90 bill! Needless to say, I was speechless for about 5 seconds and said there had to be an error. The clerk called her supervisor to the front. She looked at the computer cash register, then looked at me and said, "No error". I reiterated what I'd said to the initial clerk and they were unwilling to do anything. I started to leave without the Laundry, however remembered that our daughter had give us one (1) of the table cloths and I couldn't leave it there. So I paid the "bounty" and left. I've used clothes cleaning establishments from Virginia to Nevada to Texas and California and have never experienced such "highway robbery". If you chose to use this establishment, I strongly suggest you don't! However, if you must, I strongly suggest you get an estimate on what you're bill will be before leaving your garments so you can choose to use another establishment if needed. read more

I went the 2 times for the same suit (4 months apart) to get my suit tailored and when I got it back the left suit pants pocket was sowed into the side seam of the pants. It didn't really bother me much but I just brought it back in the the other day to get tailored again because I lost weight and I asked if she could fix the pocket that they had messed up the last time I came there. She agreed. When I went to go pick it up 2 days later the pocket was still sewn into the side seam of the pants I politely mentioned the pocket and how they were supposed to fix it. He had me leave and come back in an hour and when I came back they said that it wasn't their fault and that I had bought the suit like that. Which is false. But what's more realistic..that I didn't check the pockets when I bought the suit or that the seamstress made a mistake at the exact part that she was working on and the exact spot that was messed up. All in all they charge way too much, the value isn't that great, and the way they treat you is very unprofessional. 0/10 would definitely not recommend. read more

I am surprised by the terrible reviews. I am a peace officer and have to have my uniforms impeccable for public service. My uniforms have never come back anything less than exceptional. The owners(new and old) have always been completely respectful and were always glad to take care of any special instructions for my garments. Only complaint is that I could not get them to remember to button the " high sleeve" button found on Class A uniforms but this was a small blemish compared to years of awesome service. My guess is that this is one of those type of businesses that no one takes the time to Yelp unless they have a bad experience. I would recommend this cleaners every day of the week. I dont know why this place is so poorly rated. We havent been disappointed here for the past 3 years. The good things: They clip the sleeves before wrapping them. They remember that we like individually wrapped clothes. The alternations are great. We get our jeans shortened, and the ends are done so that the fading patterns are identical to before. This cleaners was used once. I paid over forty dollars a day have suffered over $100 in clothing damages... That I have found so far. Additionally, they immediately proclaimed me a liar for complaining. This is not a business that is being handled well. I went in with my receipt and one of the shirts they didn't do work on that I paid for. Being I was immediately called a liar, and that I never asked for a refund... And that the owner told my brother he rushed the order... I am more than a little irritated. Don't do business here if you value your clothes. read more

Came in to have an simple repair done on my favorite pair on chino shorts. The stitching came undone along the seam. I picked up my shorts after an month or so (was in no hurry). I was disappointed that they never bothered to call me when the work was done. Needless to say, the stitching had blown out within the first hour of wearing them. I will not be back. Two strikes. Not going back for a third! The first strike was when I took my new suit in and asked them to cut jacket and pants pockets open. The response was no you can do that yourself. I was going to ask for alterations as well. I took a dress short in for cleaning and identified a stain for removal. Looked good through the bag when picked up. I got dressed in the dark. Approached a mirror later to put on my tie to find two big spots in area where I had asked for their attention on one small spot. Again no third chance. Use at your own risk. read more

First off I walked in and was greet by the Indian? Lady with "I'm busy wait there" so I waited for 4 minutes while she counted money made a call etc. Then she takes my items and doesn't tell me a price and does have any prices listed. I get my pick up slip and I asked her if I can pay now because I may be sending my gf to pick up my items. She says "no you may not" I'm like ok. Well how much is it going to be so I can make sure to give her the right amount. $18.75. If she hadn't already taken my 3 items to the back I would have just taken them and went elsewhere. $6.25 per item for dry cleaning RIDICULOUS. so she says when do you need them back I said by Saturday Mind you this is on a monday. She told me to come back no earlier than Friday after 5pm. 4 days to dry clean 3 items and at that cost. Never again read more

Ogden's is right by my office so I frequent this cleaners quite a bit. Their prices are reasonable and my garments are always dry cleaned and pressed when promised. The older male and female who work in the mornings (owners maybe) are pleasant and the girls who work in the afternoon are super-friendly. They also offer same day service if needed. Family owned business where they ruined three of my shirts which were inspected upon arrival. When picking up my shirts I was told that they were torn and that I had brought them in that way. Clearly, two of my shirts were torn on the same sleeve at the same location with the same diameter hole which indicates that they have a problem with their crappy dry cleaning equipment. The owner was trying to lie her way out of the situation. I basically told her that I was done and that I would never come back to their business again!!!! read more

Great Dry cleaning horrible tailoring. I'm moving out of the area and starting a new job. I took 5 pairs of pants to get the length hemmed and a week later and $90 later and the pants are the same length as when I dropped them off. The gentleman who owns the shop offered to do them again but I leave for my new job on Monday and don't have the time nor do I really trust their ability to do it right. Never get tailoring done here. read more

They were super helpful in advising me about what services to get, etc. and I was able to get them back same day as I was leaving for a business trip the next morning. I suspect some of the negative reviews may have been planted by a competitor, because they clearly don't reflect my experience. read more

Finally a dry cleaner that takes pride in their work! After trying several cleaners in Scripps Ranch we gave Ogden's in Poway a try. The owners are so friendly and bend over backwards to make sure our clothes are ready when we need them and cleaned and pressed to perfection. With my bags packed for my flight, the last step was to get my slacks dry cleaned. I dropped off this morning and returned to find a pair of WASHED pants that had shrunk terribly. Now, I'm absolutely scrambling to buy new pants before I head out. In their defense (sort of), the lady never asked if I wanted dry cleaning or laundry, but come on! These are not jeans. If I could rate them less than '1' I would. THEY WASHED (laundered) MY DRY CLEAN ONLY' pants and RUINED THEM. When I asked them about it, the owner tried to deny that they did anything other than dry clean them. Eventually, the owner said that sometimes they do launder something if the dry cleaning process did not remove a stain. There was only one tiny stain on the pants, but this statement screamed, "Yes, I laundered your dry clean only pants.' Most dry cleaners when they can't get a stain out, put a tag on the garment bag indicating so. But this dry cleaners didn't do that, they just washed them??? Crazy, if you ask me. When I went home and looked at my husband's shirts that they laundered, I realized that they didn't button them other than the top button, they didn't put a reinforcement under the collar or place the sleeves in good position so that the shirts had wrinkles and creases in them where they shouldn't. Took my daughters bridal gown in for cleaning 5 weeks ago, a week after the wedding. When I dropped it off they asked me when I wanted to pick it up...I said, I'm in no hurry....they said how about Christmas? (no joke) They said they like to hang the wedding dresses up front, so people can see they clean wedding dresses....like advertising. We agreed on Dec. 1 as the pick up date. So today, Dec. 9, I stopped in to pick up the gown, only to be told that it hadn't been cleaned yet! The gown has been hanging up as advertising.....but THEY NEVER CLEANED it!! I was speechless. They said they were sorry, but they were just SO busy. They told me they would have it ready on Monday and offered 10% off. I said....I don't think so and took the gown home. Silly me...I thought they would dry clean the gown and then hang it up for advertising. The nerve! I can't recommend this place. read more

Sadly, a a half star wasn't an option. Took a blouse and some other routine items for cleaning. Be prepare to be "taken to the cleaners" in terms of pricing and piss poor customer service as well. These folks do not guarantee results or have the decency to refund. Surely someone wants to run this kind of business effectively in Poway... Just not here. read more

I saw some bad reviews, I think these bad reviews actually belong to the Ogden Cleaners over by LA Fitness, and can't find them one on yelp, where I had the same lady make me wait for 2 or 3 minutes while she counted change or something. The same bad Odgen doesn't know how to properly press pants, as they pressed on the seams and not down the middle, and after they ruined a beautiful sweater, I am back to the Good Ogden's next to Stater Bros. Came here to have some pants hemmed, as well as the rest of my husbands suit pressed. Couldn't tell if you if the suit was cleaned as well as being pressed...pants hemmed were great (thus the 2 stars), however, they lost the shirt that was with the suit! A suit that was needed for my hubby to be in a wedding 3 days later! Luckily they called later that afternoon to say they found it, but that it wouldn't be ready until the next day. Coming from Ramona this was a huge inconvenience, we did not receive an apology, or a discount! We will not be back! Hope they don't lose anything of yours. read more

Been going to this cleaner for years (mostly for the location and the super nice owner) with random garments that were ruined. I was always told that it was because "the shirts were old" Uh, no... garment looked like they were cut by sissors or something sharp. Wanting to give them another opportunity (don't know why) another brand new shirt was ruined and then they tried to repair it - What!?! Just last week another shirt ruined and the rip was hidden by folding so I didn't notice until my husband tried to wear the shirt. I'm done! This is the worst dry cleaner EVER! I took a pair of lines slacks to be shortened, asked and was told the job would cost $10.00. When I went to pick them up, the clerk said $18.00. When I explained I was told it'd be $10, she apologized and explained why they cost more (dress pants & lined). I said I would have hemmed them myself if I were told $18.00, and asked could she give me a new customer discount at least. She refused & stuck to the $18.00. Very short sighted and poor customer service, to not adhere to the price you quoted a customer, even if it was a mistake, and not even be willing to compromise in order to try to make amends to satisfy a customer. I'll never go back there, and will advise all my friends to stay away as well. read more
