(Yes, I ate the whole thing like a big boy). Glad there were pickles too! The fries were very good, too. Only giving 4 stars because they didn't refill the water jug the whole time we were there. We noticed at the beginning that it was empty. Then notified the front desk that it was empty. They acknowledged me but never filled it up. I know it's a little thing. The avocado toast was really yummy. It is a bit spicy, but overall pretty good. Their service was excellent. It is on the pricier side, but well worth it in my opinion. OG cafe was awesome! They have a drive up which is perfect for breakfast or a quick pick up. We got the burrito which was delicious with full potato's in it! YUM. the Carmel macchiato was delicious too. They were quick and friendly. We went back and grabbed a Caesar salad the next day which was yummy. Been to the Old Goat Cafe many times as a local. The food, coffee, and pastries are great. My only wish is that they would open earier...I am an early riser and would stop more often if they were open on my way out-of-town at 6 am. As for the negative Yelp reviews on OG, I don't want to cross paths with any of these people...especially at OG...thank you all for staying away from a great place and not spoiling the atmosphere! Cute cafe right on the highway so we stopped in for breakfast on our drive home. You order at the front and take a number to your table. A baseball team arrived about the same time, so there weren't many seating options. Food was delivered fairly quickly. I wasn't a fan of the coffee and it was exceptionally hot. I ordered an omelette that came with one piece of sourdough and garlic potatoes. I'm usually a huge potato person, but I didn't care for the taste. I usually come for the drive-thru coffee. Today we came for a sit down breakfast. The kids each had a smoothie with boba in it, which they loved. Whenever I work in Heber I love to try something new at the OG. The vast majority of the time it turns out great however this last time it was most frustrating and well just plain challenging. Two of the three items I ordered for lunch were forgotten. Eating an expensive turkey salad with no dressing and utensils is like trying to juggle flaming torches while riding a unicycle in a 70s disco outfit - entertaining for onlookers, but a disaster waiting to happen. It's like being the only one at a party wearing a superhero costume while everyone else is in pajamas - you stand out, but not necessarily in a good way. And when everyone else is diving into delicious meaty nachos while you're stuck with a sad dry salad, it's like being the designated driver at a wild party - you're making the responsible choice, but where's the fun in that? Ya it sucks. One star for leaving me out to dry, one star for making me use my hands (it was a to go order picked up for me) and one star for putting fries on a salad. (How epic is that!?!) three stars total today. They smoke incredible meat pair that with their nachos and it is a five star. First time visiting this place so I can only speak for what I ordered but it was pretty good! The Cajun chicken sandwich and house made chips, I didn't get too much Cajun flavor, I'm usually very sensitive to spicy food but I didn't get any heat effects from this Cajun sandwich. The sauce tastes delicious and it is a very enjoyable sandwich, regardless. I also got a frozen caramel coffee and iced chai and those were made really well. The staff was really nice and helped us decide what to order, great recommendations. I love the cozy, cottage feel and the indoor patio area is fun. I would like to have some better white noise (low music or something) because I could hear every single word from every other person in the entire restaurant and it makes me uncomfortable to talk to my party because it is not private at all. I've seen this place for ages, but never gotten around to coming in. It's a fast casual restaurant. Order, get a number, pick a table, they bring the food to you. Let's start with the coffee. The wife had a latte and I had the cafe au lait. I was asked if I wanted dark medium or light roast in it. Normally, dark roast ends up bitter, but not here. It was good coffee. We also got fresh pressed orange juice. I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage. It's basically an entire cheese omelet with a sausage patty put in a croissant. It was delicious. The wife had french toast. They did it using brioche properly soaked in the egg mixture. It ends up almost like a custard with crispy surfaces. It was excellent. First up- the Lambert Salad! This may not be the most nutritious salad, but it sure is tasty! Next up was the Pastrami Burger, piled high with two patties and high quality pastrami. We just needed a little more sauce so we added some ranch on top and it was perfect! Our favorite thing we tried was the Goatfather Sandwich. This sando is a must-try! Absolutely excellent flavor and probably our favorite Italian sandwich! The Burnt Ends Poutine was a fun special that had a unique barbecue sauce gravy over their crispy fries and the burnt ends were tender. No ketchup or mustard for burger and when we asked they were very put out. They to go in the kitchen and get little cups to bring to the table.
