    Ready to rip !!!!
    Al M.

Want to do something a little different while visiting Palm Springs well look no further. This place is awesome. You get to rip around on some 90 cc quads and make some great memories while doing it. My 10 year old son loves this place and we visited every time we head out to the desert The guys that work here are super cool and friendly. They set you up with everything you need to ride, sign your waiver and you're ready to rip, it's$50 bucks for half an hour or maybe a little longer when you pay cash which is a good deal because you do have a good time. Come blow off a little steam, hit the throttle ,and forget about your worries. I recommend coming early in the morning as they open at 8am and it's still not too hot by then, if you come later in the day, it does get pretty warm and you know if you wear a helmet in the heat, your head gonna sweat like a little piggy. Like I said, these guys are cool and they make the experience fun and enjoyable.

We went to Offroad Rentals on a whim while in Palm Springs. We went on a Saturday morning- we didn't call ahead or anything. It costs $50 for 30 minutes of riding. When you come in, you watch a safety video that is easily from the 80s or 90s, lol. After that, you get fitted for a helmet and then go into a waiting area. The group accumulated during the half hour prior is the group you will ride with. I really enjoyed this experience because there are courses for all levels. If you just want to leisurely ride around? No problem. If you want to go up some hills and ride down? You can do that too. They have staff riding around to help people in case they get stuck or have an issue. They also give you complimentary water after your session is over. Overall, this was a fun experience and I'm glad we tried it out!

Here'sI've been to Off Road Rentals twice, and both times I had a great experience. They rent out quads, and the process is smooth and easy. Before you get started, you watch a short video that covers everything you need to know about the quad, and then the workers go over it with you again in person. The course is simple and fun to ride. If you're feeling adventurous, you can head up high on the hill, and if not, you can stay down at the bottom and still have a great time. Overall, it's a fun and well-organized experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good time outdoors!

ATV adventures with the fam! $50/half hour. Trust me, it's a lot of time to have fun. 1. Watch instructional and safety video 2. Get your helmets and glasses 3. Choose your ride 4. Gas and GO :) Staff was awesome! They were welcoming, friendly and there to help. While on the open dirt course, a couple of the guys were out to ensure safety and provide assistance, if needed. But basically, they just let you go and have fun! SELF GUIDED ATV FUN! While in Palm Springs, I totally recommend this place. Will I return? For sure!

Planned a quick weekend trip to Palm Springs for our anniversary and this was one of the first things we did in the AM. Super fun! Not as busy in the morning as you would expect to try and beat the heat. Cash and CC price difference, $100 for two people for 30 min each, I feel like we got a little more than 30 honestly. It seems a little pricey but I would say well worth it and the view from the top of the hill was nice, the sun was shining through the clouds and really added to the pictures we took!

If you are in the Palm Springs area defiantly check out off-road rentals great customer service. Me my wife and the kids all had lot of fun.

The welcome video. They have you watch it before you can get on a bike.

Definitely a must try. $50 cash per person or $55 with card. Make sure you pay attention during instructions. I have a 10 yr old and 12 yr old both got it down so quickly. Trust me you will have fun. Also make sure you take a scarf or something to cover your mouth. They experience a lot of dust storms.

What an amazing family experience!!! If you're coming into Palm Springs with the kids, please stop by and go for a ride! We got there a little before 9:30 and were immediately greeted. He made us feel comfortable and in good hands upon entering. First, you head into a fun little cave and watch a VHS tape from the 1980s regarding the entire ATV experience and safety protocols. I found it nostalgic and informative, hey if it ain't broke don't fix it! After the video you head over to a truck container and put on your goggles, shower cap, and helmet. Everything is cleaned after each run. Next, payment; $50/30 mins if paying in cash, or a small surcharge if you pay by card. Now the fun part! We got on our ATVs and he instructed us on the gears, brakes, helpers for getting up and down the hills, and overall suggestions for a smooth riding experience. Even with instruction, some things don't work out. Like my wife got stuck on a hill, but he didn't judge her, he just helped her down. Everything is no worries here :) If you're thinking smaller kids can't do this, you're wrong! We have a timid 9 year old that simply stayed in 1st gear and had a great time! The riding areas range from beginner to highly experienced. I got to an intermediate level within the time frame even though I was a first time rider. Actually, my entire family were first timers! After us we saw what looked like 6-8 year olds having a blast! This is a must-do for families visiting Palm Springs!

Looking for an adventure with friends or family? If yes, then this is the perfect spot to have a great time and let loose. The staff was great and very helpful throughout the time being on the field. They are very generous with the time you spend on the field. The course is great and you are able to go on your own and adjust your speed to your pleasure. Alot of fun and will definitely come back.

Just before we rode out for the first time.

My son and I drove from Los Angeles County to Offroad Rentals for a morning of fun. We had been here once before and had a great time. My strong recommendation is to get here early to avoid the crowds and before it gets too hot. We watched the safety video again. It is a little outdated, but still has good information. We put on a helmet and goggles for my son. I wore my sunglasses. They were much more comfortable. My son is 13 years old and he is able to handle the ATV's with no problem. We drove all over the place and had such a great time. I did not realize last time we were there that there is a back section that is fun to ride on as well. After we finished, we were given a cold water. My son asked if we could do it again. Sure. We jumped right back on the ATV. I thought we would have to wait for everyone else to get started. Nope. Go right out the employee suggested. Didn't have to tell us twice! We had so much fun! The main reason I am writing this review is the helpful of one of the employees. I left my Rams hat that my girlfriend bought me for my birthday at the location. I realized after we were halfway back to LA County. I explained who I was and what happened. The employee volunteered to mail it back to me. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful! I love this place!

This ATV in Palms Springs is worth the hype. We just search any activities we can do while in the area and this one pops up. You can spend 45 mins of riding the ATV going up and down the hill with your family and friend. And to the guy who always assist us if we get stuck in stand, we salute you.

Ask the Community - Offroad Rentals

    Are their seat belts?

No seat belts as it is a quad

Can we each ride our own ATV? Three friends?

Yes, they have many, many ATVs to rent. Much easier and more fun to rent your own one each.

How much is per hour? All I read is $50 but for how long

Fifty bucks gets you 30 minutes. It’s pretty physical stuff - 30 minutes was just right for both me and my teen.

My wife and my three kids are coming this week. We have done tours and rides before that were a couple of hours. If the 5 of us rode for 2 hours that would be $1000 ($50/30 minutes per). Do you have other options for pricing?

It's first come first serve. If there is a fully booked group after your first 30 minutes, you might not be able to ride in the next session.

This is the 2nd time in 2 months that we have driven down to find it closed. Nothing is posted on their website or at the gate. Am I missing something? Is there certain days they are closed? Please help...my 3 sons love this place!

What type of Attire? Shorts , pants ? Closed toe shoes?

I went with a group of 7. We all wore shorts. Long sleeves and pants are perfectly fine if you want to shield your skin from the hot sun. I also saw a girl wearing wearing a bikini top and sweatpants, so anything goes. I do think closed toe shoes… Read more

How much ?? And how fast do they go?

$50 (cash) for half an hour ride. $55 if you use a credit card. Depending on the crowd and if you abide by the rules, they might let you ride an extra 15 minutes. The ATVs can go pretty fast but make sure you are aware of other riders around you.

Hi I'm looking to rent some atvs I'm seeing thy cost 50$ for 30 min is that correct? Also are there reservations required or just go early?

It's a closed area and you don't need reservations they open from 9:30 to sunset every day

    Can I make a reservation?

It was first come, first serve when I was there. If you have a big group, maybe call in advance

Can a 10 year old child ride her own bike? Or she has to ride with an adult?

I'm not sure the age limit, but when I went there was a young girl riding her own ATV. There were just signs posted that children of a certain age can't go past a certain point (kind of right where you start going up the big hills and stuff.)

    How can I make reservations?

It was first come, first serve when I was there. Maybe try calling in advance if you have a big group

    What time do they open?

    8:00am

    How much is it?

    $40 cash $45 credit/ debit

When is it the least busiest?

8am on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

I just visited this place and they double charged me ? Who can I speak to about this matter?

you probably have to go back there and show them your receipts... They are really cool there.

Partial of my party has atvs would we all be able to ride in the same area If some of us rent the atvs and the others have there own?

    I doubt it.

Do we have a o reserve it on a date or do we just show up and try to rent the ATVs when we arrive?

You show up and wait in line. We went on a Saturday and it was a no go (long line). We went back on a Wednesday and there was no one there so we got right in. They told me the slowest days are Tuesday-Thursday. Both times we went we got to ride… Read more

What's the youngest age for a kid to ride his or her own quad?

The quads state no one under the age of 10 can ride alone

    Are you open right now?

    Yes, with the necessary precautions

Unforgettable Family Adventure with Happy Trails Rental!…read more We recently took our family to Palm Springs for a fun weekend filled with stargazing, hiking, and off-roading--and hands down, the highlight of the entire trip was our experience with Happy Trails Rental. We rented two side-by-sides (one 4-seater and one 2-seater) and chose the Scavenger Hunt, which was perfect since we had my younger nephew with us. From start to finish, Ben and Tony were absolutely fantastic--extremely helpful, communicative, and transparent every step of the way. They made the entire process smooth and stress-free, which allowed us to focus on having fun as a family. They even provided a cooler for us to pack lunch, and the navigation was pre-mapped with clear waypoints, making it easy to explore without worrying about getting lost. We stopped multiple times along the way to take pictures, enjoy the scenery, and just soak in the experience. The entire time, my family was smiling from ear to ear. Ben and Tony are true professionals, and it really shows in how well they run their business and take care of their customers. If you're looking to spend a few unforgettable hours outdoors with your family, I can't recommend Happy Trails Rental enough. We will absolutely be back!

Even paper ski masks to help keep out the dust! That was a very nice and unexpected touch. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews about getting the waivers done. But it's not hard. I've worked in IT help desks for years so I know some people are just not good with a computer. That's fine. Just read the instructions carefully and you'll get thru. Or just get help from a teenager. :-) To get to this location they give you very good directions. If you follow them you'll have no issues. It's actually very easy! But GPS is not great for the less traveled roads in the mountains going to a place that doesn't really have a street address. We will be going back soon! Hopefully for 2 hours next time!

This was my first time on a quad/ATV and my boyfriend has been riding dirt bikes since he was like 6yrs old. For birthdays I love and prefer creating memories instead of giving materialistic gifts. Example: For his 28th birthday I booked us a little personal speed boat in San Diego. Upon arrival check-in was easy, quick, and they gave us hand sanitizer so we felt assured. They had helmets and other PPE lined up and available for us to use, however we had brought our own (riding gloves, riding jerseys, riding DOT certified helmets, and googles) which they allow. Our guide Jorge was funny and very easy going. The ride overall was really fun!! During our ride our guide also took pictures of us and he took some awesome ones with amazing backdrops! The only complaint I have was that I only booked us the 1 hour ride. Next time we are doing the 2 hour ride for sure! And maybe the Big Bear location as well.
