The pork bone soup was a very conflicting experience. The portion size was good, with three sizeable pieces of meat, and the amount of rice given was adequate. The meat was tender, fall off the bone, and had a nice savoury flavour. What's lacking is the broth. The broth tasted very watered down and had almost no flavour. How can such flavourful meat sit in such a bland broth? It was more akin to flavoured water rather than soup. There was also a very unsatisfactory potato included in the mix. The potato seemed rather undercooked and did not have any broth flavour at all. It just tasted like a sour, unseasoned potato. None of it was cooked down into the broth and the outside still had a glossy wax texture. For banchan, they gave some radish kimchi. While perhaps I shouldn't complain about a free side dishes, I did expect a little more. Not the worst pork bone soup I've had, but definitely left a lot to be desired.
