I am too embarrassed to post a photo of it, it's that bad. I put in the order online and picked up the cookbook at this Staples store a few days later. Now, when I submitted the order, I had no explanation as to why this book cost $30 for a single print and only one page of color. I assumed it was going to be incredibly beautiful and professional looking at that price. Nope! I was so embarrassed to give this to my sister. I immediately ordered a custom hardcover book to be made from my file from Barnes and Noble, which is what I should have done in the first place! And it was cheaper! Worst of all, the staff did NOTHING to try to salvage this when I was so clearly very upset when they handed it to me. It was incredibly cold and cruel. I tried to salvage it by finding a cover of any kind in the shopping part of the store to put over this "cookbook," but the store was so poorly stocked, I couldn't even find that! I should have just done this at work and save myself the hassle, the money, and the embarrassment. My wonderful sister was understanding when I presented her with this messy pile of papers after I spent so much time and effort gathering recipes from her friends and family. But I can't wait to give her the B&N hardcover custom cookbook when it arrives in a few days and I can put this debacle with Staples behind me.

They two associates working in the window (it was literally a hole in the wall) were rude and treated me as if I knew nothing of computers. I was emailed a contract that I was to sign, to authorize the billing of a $1500 retainer. Upon further thought I decided not to go with them. When I checked my credit card they had already billed my card before I had signed the contract. I had to wait days before my card was credited back for a billing that was contingent upon having my signature on a contract. I am thoroughly displeased with the rudeness of their associates and not following billing protocol. I will never be doing business with them.

I researched on the internet for companies and found this company. I contacted the company and the very next morning got a phone call from a real person asking me about my issue and walking me through the process for them to check it risk free. I sent it out the next day and it arrived within 24 hours. They checked it out within another 24 hours and told me they were pretty confident they could recover the data despite some damage. In short, they did recover basically all my data, sent me a drive with the data, and I am happy. It was a bit expensive, but they were professionals and saved my data, so I will not complain. They really know their stuff and have this process down.

They didn't have what we were looking for, but that's okay. We were glad that they didn't have it, because that store smelled so bad we couldn't wait to leave! As soon as we got out of the store, we both stopped and looked at each other, obviously thinking the same thing. What the heck was that smell? It was like a cross between dirty locker room, stale vape smoke and body odor. We couldn't exactly pin point where it was emitting from, but it was disgusting. And he smokes, I don't.
