This place is an excellent spot for inexpensive and quality furniture. As a new college grad, I…read moredon't have a ton of money saved up and don't want to head over to Nebraska Furniture Mart to spend $$$$ on furniture for my new apartment. This place hooked me up excellent. I bought an amazing couch here for $350 (new). When I was looking at two other stores in the DFW area, the SAME exact couch was priced at $60 more expensive and $500 more expensive. Yes, you can get the same couch here for $500 less than other stores in the DFW area. That's INSANE. They also have a clearance section in the back with returned furniture that is marked down to dirt cheap prices. I got a like new night stand for $35, an amazing bookshelf for $57 and a solid TV stand for $90. A new dresser here cost me $250, new kitchen table was $100 and as I said earlier my couch was $350. That's a total of $882 to furnish an entire apartment with high quality furniture. I have friends that have spent over three grand furnishing their place! The deliver service they utilize is a bit pricey ($85 flat rate) but it beats hiring movers. The guys working here are super friendly and don't try to push you into buying anything. This place is where you want to visit if you don't feel like spending a fortune on furniture but still want high quality stuff.

So you already know I like the other Charter Furniture location. They call it the Retail or…read moreCorporate location, and this one is referred to as their outlet facility. The retail location referred us to this outlet location, and we're very thankful they did. In fact, some of the same items we looked at that were 400$ at their retail location, were $180 at their Outlet store. This place is a bargain for high quality furniture. It's clear their stock changes regularly, so I highly recommend checking this place out on the regular. Interestingly enough, one of the new chairs we bought had a rental return that matched, so we got a matching pair of designer high quality chairs for a steal. Be sure to look at the entire store. The facility isn't as nice as the other one, with this one having more of a warehouse feel. I'm not even sure it's as big as the retail location, but you're not here for the facility anyway. You're here cuz you're going to save a fat stack on some furniture. Marco was really helpful and very knowledgeable about the furniture. He showed us everything and was very informative. Francisco was nice and friendly, and was even flexible when my wife demanded pillows that went with a different couch... even though we had already paid. Delivery was smooth. We actually purchased items at both locations, and the delivery company owner Alex picked up items from both stores to deliver them for us on one delivery, and for a bargain! Alex and his crew was very familiar with furniture delivery and all furniture was delivered without any marks on the new items or on the property. He was about 10 minutes early even. To top it off, I negotiated with Alex to move my existing furniture out of the way for the new furniture! I'm no Charlie Sheen, but 'Winning!'

This process began months ago, when I made the decision to visit the biggest stores in the metroplex and pay full retain price for office furniture because I was in a pinch and I didn't have the time to play games with supply chain nonsense. I visited the Dallas Desk showroom and the sales experience with Kyle was great. He seemed trustworthy, professional, and pleasant. They of course have no inventory, just showroom and everything comes from a warehouse "down the street." We were very careful to order only the items that were in stock ready to ship. Which out of the gate was 2 week delay. Unfortunately it took Kyle two weeks just to complete the sale and place the order. More actually. So long, that by the time he got everything ordered none of it was available. This was September and we are now in the last day of November and the order has still not been completely filled. Phone calls and emails are not returned. The last communication I got out of Kyle was an explanation that he is so busy with big orders he doesn't have time for a little order like mine. After being lied to repeatedly I asked to speak to his supervisor Nancy. She spent the entire phone call attacking me and explaining why my expectations of customer service was the problem. She offered no help other than to promise I would have the items by November. When she was done attacking me, she began to attack Armando and the warehouse staff. When this call was over it was clear that everyone in the world was at fault except her and Kyle. Don't expect much help here. Well, November has come, and after today it will be gone. I still don't have my order. I should mention that I never even got the desk I wanted. A smaller desk was substituted in its place due to lack of inventory. It should also be mentioned the desk I really wanted we never ordered because it was 2 weeks out. So we settle for the second place desk that never came and was never available, and then a third desk was substituted for it since it wasn't available, and months later I don't even have the full set. Expect lies, high prices, poor customer service, and no inventory.

Upon pulling up to this location, you see a large banner on the side of the building touting a collaboration between Staples and the defunct Party City. This is a partnership that brings in balloons, helium and other event items. This could be a smart move by Staples to integrate special event items. "Oh, Debbie from Accounting is celebrating her 10 year anniversary with the company?" You can pick up a balloon bouquet and streamers while you're picking up some toner. It's not a bad pivot, it's just that first and foremost, I think the selection in their office supplies is narrowed to make room for stuff like this and some ginormous bargain bins I'll go into momentarily. Problem is I think Staples prices are steep, and it's not like you are getting exceptional service or an immaculate atmosphere to make up for it. I only find myself at Staples as a last resort. On this occasion, I had come for some packing supplies. I begrudgingly paid the ridiculously high prices because I needed the supplies, but time and time again, I find Staples is not synonymous with value, or the breadth of selection I would expect in 2026. While I was making my way from the furthest reaches of the store (which is where they keep the shipping supplies) to checkout, I was temporarily distracted by some curiously large bins that held some of the most random things. Things you would not expect to find at a Staples. Things like nose strips, multipacks of paprika (yes, the spice), romance novels...basically junk. This stuff gets put out once a week and each successive day, the price of the items in the bins gets reduced. It's like troughs of crud. I'd much rather them focus on bringing in the best assortment of office supplies instead of diverting to bargain basement tactics. Instead, I'd like to see more selection of office supplies at better prices. It's really that simple.
