I had to go into this Office Depot because it was there in front of me and what I needed only they and their competitors sell. Their competitor did not have a close enough location so I walked into this dismal looking warehouse that apparently has not been given an uplift in decades (I wasn't about to do the finger test but I would bet on dirt and dust and grime being amongst the residents.). One would think that a large chain warehouse might offer some cost savings but not this one. Yes, I could have gone online but delivery would take too many days even if I would save more than a couple of dollars. What was additionally disappointing to me was the fact that the employees seemed to be as cold and distant as the store itself (However, I do believe they were not bearers of dirt, dust nor of grime just their attitudes matched the store's appearance.). It is my guess that the overseers of this dim cave know that they currently have a captured audience so they don't have to invest time nor money in improved lighting, better displaying of products, or in making customers feel welcome. Unfortunately, they are not alone in that style of doing business but they are the first to complain when we turn to our computers to make purchases from our well lit, clean, and welcoming homes. read more

I don't come to Office Depot often but whenever I do it never disappoints. Mainly, I come here when I need school supplies a cheaper store is out of. In this last case, my son started a new school that didn't provide a list until AFTER school started and there were no supplies at all that I needed at my usual place ... not even liked paper! Coming here was a relief. They had everything I needed in one place and plenty of options ... even rulers they had multiple colors and sizes and materials, even non-breakable ones (they are bend). Someone always comes up to me asking if I need help too. Honestly it's a great spot for office and school supply needs. There's also coupons that make the prices not so bad. read more

Had a very positive experience at the Self Copy center. Very friendly, knowledgeable young female employee walked me through the process of emailing to the Office Depot email address and then using their copy machine to make my copies. Once she showed me what to do, I was able to follow on by myself. Good idea to sign up for their rewards program to get a discount on copies. She advised me of that too.Twelve cents a page instead of fourteen. Not cheap but then it's also expensive to keep running through ink cartridges using your home printer for large jobs. No long lines tonight. So I can't comment on that aspect some did not like about this store. I'll be back for more copies. read more

Never had a problem til now. Other than slow service it was fine. In the last 3 days I've ordered 2 banners for my small business. They messed it up both times. Same girl and everything. All they offered to do it re print it. I would honestly find somewhere else to print banners cause I've been disappointed twice in a week. read more

I was really disappointed to find out that while I sent in my 10 empty ink cartridges for the $2/per cartridge rebate, they expired...I didn't know that they even did and I apparently wasn't back within the 90 days allowed, but with covid, I was trying to stay out of crowds. Office De-Pot is where you go if you want to sell Medical Marijuana. If you have a large quantity of it, they will take it off your hands (i.e De-Pot you), for use in Doctor's Offices. Hence the name. Office Depot. They earn three stars for having a good product selection, being clean and a nice environment, being fairly easy to access, and having a great return policy. They lose 1 star for being an evil chain, and another star for INSANE high prices, you will pay twice as much here than at somewhere like Walmart or a Dollar Store for the same type of stuff. But still mad props to this store for being so friendly and for helping me out with stuff for the Scavenger Hunt. But my personal opinion is that all of you guys should lay off the drugs. read more

This location is half way between my home and work. More often than not... I'm left disappointed by the lack of cashiers and the subsequent long waits at the check out. It's the closest office store location, so I'm sorta stuck unless I think Walmart will do. Tough to have frequent any establishment out of necessity, but that's what this Office Depot provides for me. read more

Slow service. Waited at the counter for print work. Two employees saw me and briskly walked away. A third yelled from the register asking if I needed help and what I wanted with a line of people all turning to watch me. Screaming from maybe 50 ft away. Finally get help, told a job would be ready in two hours and I would be called. 9 hours later still no call. When I phoned in the employee was aloof and couldn't care less. Came here to pick up some ink cartridges for my printer. I knew they'd likely be more expensive here, but the added expense was offset by their cool recycling program. You can recycle up to 10 ink cartridges per month. You are given $2 in rewards for each cartridge. It kinda stinks that you have to make a minimum purchase each month to qualify for the program, but I still enjoy the convenience factor. I probably could have found the ink cartridges cheaper online, but I needly them rather quickly, so I came here instead. read more

I find the staff here most helpful, when I ask for help in selecting an electronics product. The range of office supplies is quite large and varied. Prices are decent, and excellent when there are sales. I like the recycling program. The copy/print center has generally worked well for me and produced what I requested. There can be long lines at the checkout. read more

Just had 1 photo copied and laminated. $3.74 +$3.00 to cut around pic. Thet charge .75 cents to cut around a photo 4 TIMES!!!!! When I called and after waiting 5 min on hold 4 a manager he said yes you could have taken as is and cut yourself. Talk about ripping off customers. It was a photo of a friend who died at Christmas so I really wanted to preserve it but to charge 4 times to cut it is absurd. Stay away from this store and mgr. Jim. DONE. read more

I've been here several times, normally in and out to purchase supplies for my business. Today I stopped in for a specific item, which seemed to have been moved since my previous visit. I walked around for about 10-15 minutes then made my way back to the front to seek assistance from an employee, all of the employees were standing around talking to each other and one lady seemed to be irate because I asked for help locating this item. She made it very clear she didn't want to help me, she quickly told me that if I didn't see it, they must not have it. I also noticed a few employees greet only white customers as they walked in. I've been here several times and I don't recall ever being greeted, but specifically today no one said anything to me. I also heard an employee ask a white customer if they needed help finding anything. I walked around the store for about 10 minutes and again had to make my way to the front to see a cashier just for assistance. Another employee (male) then tried to explain where this item normally is which I read the sign that wasn't what I was looking for and I told him he just walked away. Mind you I also had a photo of my last purchase with a barcode attached. They could have easily scanned from my phone to assist me. This store is never busy while I'm there, they're always fully staffed and sometimes over staffed as employees are just gathered in a group speaking to one another. Very unprofessional and inattentive. I live in the area but I will travel or purchase with uline before I spend another dime here. Seems a bit racist and again extremely too unprofessional for my liking. Black men and women don't bother, these employees are white, racist and making minimum wage. They have absolutely no desire to do their job. read more

Office Depot is now my first go-to place when I need to make a technology related purchase. Why? Because I got an awesome deal on a laptop, 2 days later, the screen cracked even though it wasn't dropped, there were no scratches, dents, nothing. The laptop was transferred from the library, to truck, easy road, to Tim Hortons. Opened it, and screen was cracked, no idea why. I dreaded going in, but they were so professional and kind and I didn't have to argue or demand to see a manager or anything! A girl named Chris and another gentlemen took care of me and exchanged the laptop, and although they were busy, they remained very friendly and professional and everything went smoothly. I just want to say I'm very confident about buying my major purchases there. Next one is a new laser printer and I guarantee you I'll be buying it from Office Depot. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is cause I wish they had a bigger assortment of stuff :) read more
