I haven't had much time for Yelp so far this year and my future reviews queue is stacked over 60 deep with a wide variety of places, some of which are very interesting. So why am I reviewing a two star office supplies chain store? It's going out of business soon and Yelpers will report this location is permanently closed and I'll lose my chance to pad my stats with this lame store. I was far from shocked to see this place is closing. The last time I was in here I distinctly remember thinking to myself this store isn't going to make it and I'd be surprised if it lasts another couple of years. Nobody shops here and the employees seem pretty used to that. They're tragically hard to find and comically disinterested. The last time I was in here was just to buy a box of inkpens and this long disused teenage part of my brain kicked into gear and I started mulling over just stealing them. It was almost like they were daring me to it. I ended up doing the right thing and waiting for an employee to finally emerge and cashing out. This store is so pathetic I came here a few months ago and half of the front parking lot was covered by a giant puddle of water. By the front doors they had a sign apologizing for the temporary inconvenience of all that water. Well, I came back two or three months after that and not only was the water not gone it had grown to the size of a full fledged pond covering almost the entire parking area in front of the store, leaving only a small strip on the side to park. Not a huge issue since as I said nobody goes here. There's not enough wildlife areas in Macomb County so it was very nice of them to install Lake Office Depot here. Two ducks looked very content just floated along and the water shimmered in the evening sun. So why two stars and not one? It's still a functional store, somewhat. I bought two file cabinets from here in the past year and I'm tempted to go looking for some going out of business deals. Also - this place is funny! I'll never forget the giant duck pond. Sadly, though, (or perhaps fortunately depending on how you look at it) the waterfowl habitat has shrunk back down to about half the parking lot as of Friday. Maybe once Office Duckpot is gone a fishing supply store can open here and they can bust up the concrete and make the lake deeper. read more

Some things couldn't get printed because of my email but ALEXIS was extremely patient with me. Very pleasantly surprised on how well she managed the situation and how nice she was to me and everyone who walked in. I will be returning for sure. read more

Yet another example of a dying bricks and mortar store. Happened to be in the area- saw store and stopped in for 1 basic item - red stick pins. Asked for help at customer service and was asked if I looked up item -I replied no, was told to look up on my phone. After a few minutes was showed an item that didn't come close to what I was looking for. Store had no other customers. read more

The employees at this location are incredibly unfriendly and rude. On numerous occasions, I've stood at the register waiting to be checked out and was completely ignored while the employees had a conversation with each other. I've been told by a cashier that I was "impatient" because I took my card out of the reader after waiting a prolonged period of time for the cashier to stop talking to her colleague, and for her to pay attention to her screen that was waiting for her to accept my card payment. No one greets you when you enter, and no one greets you when you leave. Instead, you're met with standoffish glares. Overall, the general atmosphere of this depot is uncomfortable. I try to not frequent this location, considering I always leave feeling aggravated by the unpleasant nature of every encounter. read more

OK, I had little went at Office Depot get some ink for the printer. Overwhelmed all electronics and supplies, because I wanna Adobe Photoshop CS6 or Corel PaintShop Pro X4 which meant I really can't afford that, only saving my money for my laptop and desktop. I can get that new lamp for the other room. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR PRINTING NEEDS. I placed an order for simple 5x7 invitation. I had to make 3 trips, which all were very time consuming due to long waits. Employees were unprofessional both in person and on the phone. They printed the cards incorrectly 2 times, it was an embarrassment that they could give me the product in such manner...TWICE!! Off centered, cut the wrong size, shadows, etc. JUST TERRIBLE!!! What a waste of my time!! read more

Denise helped me find the right smart phone printer ( Canon Selphy) and actually suggested the best model for what I was looking for! She sold me on the ink and photo package too along with the 2 year protection plan! Very professional and courteous. Latonya helped ring me up and was also helpful. I don't understand why this store has a 2 star rating? The employees are nice, have great product knowledge. The store is clean and fully stocked with product. spent over 3 hours on the internet trying to find hand sanitizer for my son who has a heart condition during the corona virus pandemic. Finally found some at office depot that was the least over priced of the other stores that were price gouging and ordered it. It arrived 5 days later (paid extra for faster delivery) and to my surprise it was EXPIRED. The date on it was over a year EXPIRED, but yet when I called the recording while I waited over an hour to talk to someone kept repeating how they were out of stock on many coronavirus items that people needed. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. I have reported them to the Attorney General in my state. read more

Placed an online order. I received confirmation that my order was ready for pick up. In the email it says "Look for "Pickup" sign Look for the sign that says "Online Orders Pickup Here" located at the Copy and Print Services Counter." So I followed the sign and went to the copy and print area. Waited for 15+ min before I get told i have to pick it up somewhere else!! ONE ITEM I ordered. Two people working in the copy print area, and both SLOW and don't know what they are doing or how to use a computer!!!! Not impressed at all read more
