Extremely Disappointed with Office Depot in Conroe We came in without much knowledge about how to use the self-service printing system and asked for assistance. Unfortunately, the staff was completely unwilling to help at first, repeatedly telling us that everything had to be done online. After persistently asking for support, someone finally stepped in--but by then, the order had already been processed and was sent to the wrong location. To make matters worse, we're still not sure where the order actually went, and no one could give us a clear answer. We were simply trying to order business cards, and the lack of customer service and guidance made an already simple task extremely frustrating. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had. Would not recommend this location if you're looking for help or clear communication. Very disappointing. read more

As I walk into this living relic of the early 2000's I am greeted with the nostalgia sending me back to an age long forgotten in my childhood. It's kind of a vibe and I like it. This store is great. Its an office depot. Its got what you need and isn't in short supply. I've been in multiple times for printers, monitors, office supplies and each time has been a good experience. Their monitors are priced amazingly for day to day use monitors, far better than other places in the same shopping strip *cough* *cough*. Their printers are pretty fair priced. Office supplies are always office supplies. What gets me and compels me to write a review of an office supply store is the service when I'm in there. It's not like your hounded when your in the store, but somehow they always know when I'm lost or can't find something and are right there when I need someone to help me out who knows what they are selling. Super friendly staff from finding things around the store to the cashiers. They have always been in a decent mood, chill and just nice. They talked me into getting the membership and in rewards and discounts this has proven to be so valuable. They even took a look and found an additional discount for something for me which I'm so thankful for! Have been before, will go again, I recommend for all your office supply needs. - Edit Forgot to mention and the only drawback keeping from 5 stars was that there have been a few instances where printing quality has come out pretty poor. That may not be their fault and more to do with the resolution of our images, but it'd be nice to get a warning if the image quality was too poor or had a high likelihood of not coming out well. Again, that may not be fair of me as how are they do decide how I want my image to turn out. Just my thoughts on it. It's your standard office depot. You don't ever find any good deals compared to online stores, but the location is convenient and the staff are helpful most of the time and friendly enough. I go in when I need to buy something for a quick project or my yearly calendar and now that I am using my iphone calendar and OD prices are so high that may end soon. They have shipping service inside, but the staff are usually really slow so don't go if you are in a hurry. I don't recommend buying printers here either. OD's return policy is awful!! OD should realize printers are one of the biggest "lemon items" being sold today and figure out a better way. Not the worst, not the best, and certainly nothing to write home about for sure. read more

It's a small store which means not much options to choose from when it comes to office furniture. I only go to this location because of deals and sales they offer on office supplies. Operations manager, Heather, is the best. She is helpful & knowledgeable of the products. She is aware of customers concern & diligent in resolving the issues in a timely manner. When they have back to school sales I'm there, just about every week. I love office supply stores, so sometimes I just go in to look. I know, I'm weird. That's okay. The manager (maybe assistant?) Joe is 'da bomb!! He's always smiling and always kind and helpful, which is what you should get in customer service but you don't very often anymore. Not with Joe. Also, there are others that are helpful. Sure you can get some pens and pencils and basic office supplies for cheaper at Walmart or Target, but you get a much better selection here. I was slightly disappointed when I found out the rewards program is only for certain things (like ink and copy paper) and the points expire each quarter, but when I called 800# they sent me a $10 rewards certificate as a one-time courtesy. I was also REALLY disappointed when they stopped letting teachers get extras when the back to school sales came, but that just means I have to go back 3x as much. If you're doing any kind of printing work, be prepared to hear "I don't know" quite a bit. If you have received notice that your order is ready for pickup, schedule an hour to stand in line while they spend a lot of time telling people "I don't know" in front of you, then they have to search the entire store for your order. You can expect to walk into the store, see the products- but don't expect any help if you can't find what you're looking for. After waiting 10 minutes for the customer service lady to call someone to the area for assistance- no one showed up. My boss actually told me where to find what I needed. At check out the girl asked if I found everything I was looking for. I replied no and she simply smiled and said ok. Where has customer service gone? I go here to buy printer ink and other random office items as needed. Sometime they run fairly decent specials and have good prices. The staff here have been helpful whenever I have asked for help. I will say that I feel that the prices are high unless the item is on sale, so I try to only buy items on sale. read more

He was juggling like 5 different customers and answering everyones questions/ getting everyone taken care of. This sole star is only up there because I could not choose a NO star option.... Upon entering the store, I was listening to a voicemail, when associate Debbie, attemted to greet me. I said hello and smiled to her, but she rolled her eyes at me, and picked up her lapelle to say something nasty over the ear piece to the rest of her coworkers. All of which I heard, and she said it right in front of me. I was apalled. She said, "Another fucking customer on their phone too busy to say hi". First of all, I did say "Hello" back to her, she was just waiting to complain to the rest of her peers and did not get the opportunity to hear me. I think that management should be aware of this brunette-middle-aged-women most likely going through menopause, whose passive aggressive demenor made me feel highly unsatisfied with the quality of attention I have received. I feel that she was very rude and disrespectful. They money that I pay, contributes to her paycheck. That is no way to treat a customer. read more

The staff on the floor was friendly , but when we were checking out they were rude. We had to ring up a sale item separately because of some store policy and the lady had to key in the credit card number due to the magnetic strip being old. She told us she was only going to key the number in once and we needed to pay for the rest with cash or another card. What a lazy heifer! We will not return to this store.
