If you enjoy being yelled at and disrespected by a business owner, Wrapstars -- and its owner John Fetterman -- is the place for you! Against my better judgment, I gave John another chance after a bad experience 12 years ago. Big mistake. He hasn't changed one bit, and I've learned my lesson. I reached out because his shop is only half a mile from my work and I needed a wrap removed quickly. I already had a $700 quote from another trusted wrap shop I've used for years, but they were 10 days out. John quoted me $110/hr and said it would take a couple of hours, maybe a few at most, after I sent photos and dropped off the car. Four hours later, I called for an update. His response? "Man, the fing wrap is a fing piece of s***. Whoever put this fing s on there are f***ing morons." I calmly asked him not to curse at me again. He stopped for the moment and said he had four guys working on it and they were only halfway done. When I came to check, the car looked half-finished -- over-promised and under-delivered. The next day, after another seven hours (and zero updates unless I called), the wrap was finally removed. The invoice? $980, more than double his "few hours" estimate of around $440. When I expressed disappointment, he didn't apologize -- just cursed more and blamed the "s*** wrap company" I used. We settled on $900, and he said a detailer would clean it that afternoon for a small extra fee. Three hours later, still no response to my texts, so I called and was told the detailer had just started. The detailer, who was actually very professional, later told me it would be $700 to clean off all the leftover adhesive. So John's original $440 estimate had now ballooned to $1,600. When I confronted John, he initially said he'd "eat the cost" since he misquoted me -- which I thought was fair. I picked up the car around 9pm, still covered in glue, and the detailer came back the next morning. Three hours into the job, the cleaner texted me again saying John told him I was paying. When I called John to clarify, he exploded -- yelling and swearing nonstop, throwing around "motherf***ers" and blaming me for everything. When I told him to stop speaking to me that way or I'd hang up, he just kept going. I hung up, and he then texted me more profanity-filled messages. The cleaner, trying to stay professional, agreed to finish for $400. I asked John again to pay what he said he would, and he refused. In the end, I paid the cleaner myself. When the car was finally done, he showed me nine deep gouges in the paint, clearly from the wrap removal. I got the car brand new from the dealership and wrapped it immediately, so the damage happened during removal -- either from improper tools or carelessness. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I've never had a business owner scream, curse, and belittle me repeatedly over the phone and through text. Between the unprofessional communication, broken promises, inflated costs, and damage to my car, I can confidently say I would never recommend this company to anyone who values honesty, respect, or professionalism. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read the other reviews. I wish I had. This guy sucks. If you're looking for Customer Service or quality work, you're looking in the wrong spot. He sucks. Initially, John was very responsive and made numerous unfulfilled promises. After payment, he was nonexistent. Prior to the work, the design and the color palette were selected. John insisted on entire payment up front before work started. We had to pay by credit card over the phone as opposed by check or cash when we delivered the truck then discovered an additional 3.25% for using a card. He said the job would be complete Thursday of the same week. We rented a car during this time. Thursday, we made numerous attempts to get an update but never got any response. Friday morning, we his assistant informed us they had not started on the vehicle, which left us a bit confused and angry. Why did he insist on getting the truck Monday and have us rent a car for the week only to sit in his lot? Talk about a total and complete lack of consideration for the customer. He lacked any concerns about the inconvenience or the associated costs. A person with any common sense, consideration or compassion would have their customer bring their vehicle the day before the work would be started. It became very clear his only concerns revolved around getting paid and nothing else. On Friday afternoon we received a call informing us the truck would be ready by 6 o'clock and to be there before they closed at 6:30. Again, we're confused and left wondering how the job would be completed so quickly as the entire truck was getting wrapped with multiple layers. We arrived at 6:15 expecting to get the truck but, the owner came and said they had a little more to do and to watch TV. He was more interested talking about how many vehicles he had completed that week. He didn't discuss anything about the truck. He didn't offer to show the progress or how it looked. Our interaction was brief. He was in and out within a minute although he was not doing any wrap work. He simply disappeared. His interaction was completely unprofessional. At 10 o'clock he left presumably to be with his family even though the truck still wasn't complete and we finally took delivery of the truck around 11 o'clock. The next day we were able to see the final product in the sunlight. The color scheme was completely wrong. We had selected charcoal gray and dark maroon combination. We received grey and hot pink. Absolutely pathetic. Upon further inspection, the workmanship applying the wrap everywhere was terrible. There are numerous tears and bubbles throughout the entire vehicle. The job was rushed and hurried without attention to detail, aimed at quickly completing another vehicle. Maybe they were trying to see how many they could complete for the week. This guy is only concerned about getting your money and nothing more. He is a used car salesman. He gives a pitch to get you excited and that you're in good hands. What you get is terrible product with no customer service. Multiple attempts were made to resolve this issue but have not received a response. John has never returned our calls and completely ghosted. He isn't interested in rectifying anything. He never followed up to see how we liked the work. He knows it was a total suck job and doesn't want to try to make us happy. That would be inconvenient and cost him. John got his money and that's his only concern. We had to call to get the invoice and never received business cards as part of the agreement. The owner John, nothing more than a complete manipulator and liar. John said he was a former police officer and marine. He freely talked about being anti-government. It was clear that he was a corrupt one as he offered to give us an invoice that would be overstated by $3000 for tax purposes. It is sad that someone of this character represented law enforcement. Just today he posted on Instagram about how "it's time to focus on you. You did enough for the ungrateful". Says it all. Talk about an ego and it is all about 'me". His words and actions make us speculate why he is no longer in law enforcement besides ripping people off I would stay away from such a shady character. He will promise you the world in the beginning, but once he gets his payment, they're merely empty promises. Our next step is to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. The owner of Wrap Stars, John, is unreliable, unethical and does not honor his work. I don't understand how he has so much work or is still in business because of the quality of work and how he treats his customers. We're now looking for a reputable company that can somehow correct this abortion. It would be nice if a wrap could be applied to the areas that are hot pink. It is doubtful because there are so many other areas with bubbles and tears. We have basically lost $5300 and will have to find a reputable company that knows what they're doing and guarantees their work. read more

WORST EVER! Had to pay upfront for the work and 6+ months later it is still not done. Cannot get return phone calls, or emails. No communication. Actually spoke with a live person a couple weeks ago and she was going to have Johnny call. Needless to say, still no call from him. You know its bad when an ex-employee of theirs calls us to see if the job was ever completed and proceeds to tell all their secrets. Sorry to say this, but he was a total jerk. No wonder his staff talk about him.*** My business is located in Tomball and I travel all the way to this location to do business. This must tell you something. The owner is a great guy and very friendly. His staff on the other hand, and that's an issue with all business owners. Whenever we call him, he has our pick up items ready in 20 mins. It's a shame to read the negative comments about owner in the other reviews, and I hoping this doesn't happen to me. Walked in on a late Friday, took measurements, and printed my logo all in one day. I was most impressed with how fast it was done! The crew worked together got the job done fast. When I left I noticed the rear window had bubbles on it. Brought my vehicle back and showed the crew they mentioned because it rained it will not stick. So Derrick B is defiantly a fake account made by the owner. He does that on all the review apps. I know this because I worked there. Worse shop I've every worked at not because he didn't have quality people at one time but because he told customers he could do deadlines that were impossible. Such as telling a customer he could have there vehicle wrapped in a day or two knowing he had 3 vehicles ahead of it and only two installers actually working there. Easy way to get scammed. I have used WrapStars in the past, so I decided to use them again when I switched real estate brokers. I spoke with John, and we spent over an hour going over the design for window screens for the back tailgate window and two side windows on my Murano. While deciding on the design I let John know several times I was not sure of the sizing and if it would be legible on my car from a distance. Each time I was assured it should be big enough to read from a passing car. I even requested a printout so I could see how big the graphics would be on my car. I was told that was not possible, but everything would be fine. I even asked if wording should be changed to make it more understandable to possible clients. Then I show up to have the screens installed. My husband came with me this time. We waited about an hour and were then allowed to see the finished product already installed. Immediately there was a problem because the wording was indeed too small and without the word Realtor my husband was confused as to what was being advertised. I told John this is horrible what are my options? He said let other people see the ad and see what they think. I showed them to multiple people who also were confused by my ad and could not read the words. I immediately contacted John by email. He put me off for a few days but, responded by email and said he would ask the owner what could be done. The owner called me yesterday to say they would generously remove the screens for free and reinstall for a discount of $50. So new everything would cost me another $250 on top of the $595 I had already spent. The owner also suggested I bring my husband this time to approve the graphics before printing. Really?!! Ridiculous!! Especially considering what had already occurred. Now I have ads on my windows no one understands or can read, and I am stuck trying to fix the graphics myself.
