UPDATE: After complete renovation, I converted from breakfast semi-regular to a lunch regular. I'm a huge fan of the SALMON B-L-T (grilled salmon, romaine, tomatoes, peppered maple bacon, chipotle fennel sauce, brioché bun). It's messy, it's yummy. The new vibe is grilled food with craft beer & wine. I enjoy outside dining as much as in. OLD REVIEW 4/4/2016 I think the food is even better now than years ago. Jon brought his grillin' expertise to the cafe's and it's really good. Hale to Kale with grilled salmon today was terrific! I've eaten here enough over the years that if I show up on a weekend morning they're already grabbing a POWER ROLL to go for me. About others comments: Agree with Elizabeth- great location and I always see someone I know. It's clean and the staff is friendly and professional. There have been some changes over time. Things have not always been perfect, but they made it right, and I've been there enough to know problems are the exception, not the norm. Not sure about reduced salad size. Mine today seemed as big as always. It is a little pricey with an added grilled item, but I immediately split it in half and save the rest for a second meal, which makes the price OK for me. note: It's a good local spot for a casual business lunch - get in and out quick or take your time for a longer meeting. read more

I've eaten here a few dozen times. Very good, healthy eating options prepared quickly. The prices are getting close to the expensive range, but I'm not willing to declare it overpriced yet. I really like that you can get certain foods (e.g., grilled salmon) that normally would only be offered in a much nicer and more expensive dining establishment. One of my favorite foods at Offerdahl's is the black bean burger. Although, the bread can sometimes get soggy from all the toppings. I also like the spinach salad. A really high-quality salad that includes a sliced hard-boiled egg, walnuts and craisins. Even the drink options are healthy with teas and juices. The service is decent most of the time but they will often forget a part of your order (e.g., soup or sides). If you are a user of Entertainment.com, you can find some buy-one-get-one-free coupons. The restaurant was dirty. The windows were dirty and my sneakers stuck to the floor when I walked. I don't know the last time the floor was washed. I ordered avacado toast with a fried egg. It was ice cold. The avacado was rotton. It was black. Disgusting I will never go here. read more

Live bug in food. Ordered egg scramble with ham. Received egg scramble with veggies so it was the wrong order but my husband dealt with it but he took three bites then saw an beatle/roach type bug crawling in his food. Took it back up and they remade the food but of course he did not want to eat after that. He said the eggs tasted powdered and the food was not good and of course there was the bug issue. Offerdahl's Lighthouse Point is the greatest!! The food is excellent and the staff is super attentive and dedicated to good service. I ordered delivery from Uber Eats and didn't know that the ginger slaw contained eggs and mayo. Everything else I ordered was vegan. The staff actually noticed that and called me to see if I knew about the non-vegan slaw!! They didn't know it, but I AM vegan and I soooooooo appreciated that call!! Who would go out of their way like that to both notice and call me these days?? Such a great place. So grateful. read more

This is our go to place on sundays for breakfast but since we were out town for a week we couldn't make it. So we came on Monday instead and immediately Allison realized it was an off day for us and asked how we were, it was a simple gesture but meant a lot. I've been coming here every week for the past 4 months. ..most times 3 times a week..I hate kale but decided to try HALE TO THE KALE salad after someone recommend it to me. .. all I can say is WOW!! I add salmon and the fish is always cooked perfectly and adds the right top note to compliment the full tastes of the salad. The salad is served worth a bagel loaf but I ask for French instead! This place has delicious food! I've tried everything from their salads, rice bowls, soups, and sandwiches and everything is fresh and delicious. The customer service is always great - I am always greeted when I go there and any special requests for my food are always gladly accommodated. It's a unique place to South Florida and all of their dressing and recipes seem to be unique as well - not just your run-of-the-mill "soup and salad" cafe. Great place to try out if you haven't been. I love the breakfast protein bowl. The other menu items look so good too but I literally drive out of my way for this. I swap out the egg for chicken. The hummus is homemade and everything is cooked fresh. I never knew I liked mushrooms so much. The best part is how great I feel after. Fully energized and guilt free. I failed to take s picture. Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. The bagel was cold and the coffee was bland. The server was surly and they have the nerve to put out a tip jar for counter service. I am usually a generous tipper but why should I tip someone just for taking my money. Thats stupid. If you expect a tip for handing me a bagel make sure it's warm and try to have a smile on your face and greet the customer like a customer. Einsteins has better coffee and no tip jar. read more

The food is consistently good but I had to give it 3 stars because it's a little overpriced for an order-at-the-register cafe. Also, they recently decreased their salad sizes so a half salad is pretty tiny. They also serve it on a plate that's too small so you loose half the salad in the process of trying to cut and mix it. Sometimes the sandwiches don't have enough chicken or meat on them either. But when they do they're tasty. The bagels and giant chocolate chip cookies are really good though! Disappointed with this location. Had my order delivered with door dash. The delivery was fast, and the only satisfying part of my meal. The food on the other hand was just not good. I had a half Johnny's house salad. It was just ok. The tomatoes in the salad were about to turn, so a few pieces had to be spit out. I also ordered a fruit cup, and miso slaw as a side. The miso slaw was inedible. Must have gone bad, but nobody bothered to check and see. That went in the garbage. The next item was the "fresh" fruit cup. It had a Friday sticker on the bottom of the cup, but no date, so you don't know which Friday it was made. It tasted like moldy. That went in the garbage. I contacted the store manager, I think his name was Chris, who said he would make me a new order, but had no way to get it to me, but would send me some complimentary gift cards for another visit. Then told me in order to be refunded, I needed to contact door dash for that. Well I did as he requested, and was offered a credit of $2.31. Pretty pathetic, since I'm out about about $7. Needless to say, not only am I out the money, I am still hungry. read more

I am writing this review from a everything but bagels perspective. Their bagels are good, but it's not hard to find good bagels. Otherwise their food is good and fresh, but the portion sizes are small and the food is expensive. Expect to spend $28-$30 for two people that order "pick-two's," 2 sodas and maybe a bagel or cookie. I wouldn't have a problem with the price if portion sizes were larger. Salads are served undressed on flat plates that make it impossible to mix without making a mess and the sandwiches have small amounts of meat. The grilled chicken sandwich has about 1.5oz of flat, dry chicken. Staff behind the counter is unfriendly and they make you feel uncomfortable asking questions or asking for extra sauce or dressing. The inside and outside atmosphere is nice, but they do keep the a/c on/around 65 degrees. read more

Just opened a week ago with table service. Order at the counter and they give you a number kind of thing. Looked around after I ordered for a place to sit. All empty table were dirty. Asked a guy to clean a table. I expect to hear "oh sorry about that" but I don't. He's doing me a favor I guess. Wiped my one table and left all the others dirty. A few minutes later a couple ladies, seniors came in. The ordered and had to get a few napkins to wipe their own table. This restaurant needs to train the employees better. read more
