Told them I was waiting for bore diameter to order new performance pistons. "Danny" said "we can order them for you and save you some bucks". Great...but I was NOT consulted on pistons selected. Piston parts numbers showed $200 for set of Summit pistons that was marked up $100 on bill. Crank was to be polished but was told new crank would be cheaper. Bill still showed crank polish for $300. Was told it was for my benefit to avoid tax. I was not advised on crank selection. My short block turned into a long block. Was told to bring in my heads for installation. Purchased them already surfaced. Guess who got charged $300 per head to be surfaced on top of valve job for $250...not 1 call for authorization. I found this when I went in days before pick up. A $900 estimate ended up at $3000. Mission Auto Parts and Machine Shop should be last place anyone should go.

(2025 Ford Expedition King Ranch) I realized I need a max for our growing family. This dealership chooses immaculate used vehicles. Both cars we test drove were in pristine condition--the King Ranch, and a 2023 Jeep Grand Wag L Series ii. We were working with Marco throughout the experience and he was exceptional. I never felt pressured, he heard my concerns of the trunk space. I actually had said I thought I was ready to purchase and thought I could work with the trunk space the KR had. We got to the point of talking numbers. We loved the price they brought it down to, we were content with our trade value, (my vehicle had two minor accidents so value naturally wouldn't be spectacular and we understand that). But as we were sitting in the office I realized I'll never regret having more trunk space, but I will regret having less... Marco heard my concerns, they offered us to bring the car home as an extended test drive to be absolutely sure. I could test out my usual smaller stroller, see how it fit in our garage, all the things. Ultimately I couldn't get past the trunk space with two Littles and a future third. Marco and his team however, deserve these 5 stars. If in the future they come across what I'm looking for I won't think twice of coming back to them. Before this, I had a Dodge Hornet, but the value was dropping, so I decided to make the switch and visit SEWELL Cadillac. This was my first time doing business with any SEWELL dealership, and it has been one of the best dealership experiences I've ever had. My salesperson, Alejandra, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I like working with the same salesperson whenever possible, and since I'm new to town, when I stay with SEWELL , I'll definitely be getting my next vehicle from her. I also want to recognize Robert in the service department. He was fantastic when I needed a repair done on my vehicle. He quickly arranged a loaner car and kept me updated every couple of days on the status of my vehicle. That level of communication meant a lot and made the entire process stress-free. Another perk I really appreciate is the complimentary car wash. Between that and having a loaner available during service appointments, it gives me even more reason to stay with SEWELL . Their customer service is truly some of the best I've ever experienced at a dealership. Everyone is welcoming, professional, and makes everything so easy. I've been a longtime Toyota owner and consider myself reasonably handy with car maintenance. I have…read morea 2011 FJ Cruiser and a 2015 Tundra. While my Tundra had a prepaid service plan, I occasionally brought the FJ in, too, mostly out of convenience. For a while, it worked out. But once I started doing my own service again, I started noticing things that left me frustrated and concerned. First, on the Tundra: When I went to do my own oil change after the service plan expired, I found that several bolts securing the oil filter access shield were missing. These aren't obscure or hard to reach bolts. They were clearly left out. It looked like someone intentionally skipped reinstalling them to make future removal easier, which might sound helpful unless you're the owner who expects your vehicle to be put back together properly. Then came the FJ Cruiser. I've had the cabin air filter replaced at Red McCombs several times. Anyone who's done it knows there's a small shock dampener behind the glove box that needs to be removed to get to it. When I went to replace it myself recently, the dampener was completely missing. No one ever told me. Did they forget to reinstall it? Or just not care? Fast forward to about six months ago. The Tundra was at Red McCombs briefly for an insurance-related repair, and I figured I would pay for an oil change while it was there. Seemed simple enough. When I went to change the oil recently, I found that every single screw clip that secures the front bumper trim to the skid shield was gone. These clips are easy to remove and replace. No excuse for leaving them out. Yet again, it was sloppy and lazy work. None of this was catastrophic, but that's not the point. Every nut and bolt on that vehicle belongs to me. If you're removing them, you should be putting them back. I'm left asking myself: What else didn't they do? Did they fully drain the oil? Did they even install the new filter I paid for? What other shortcuts were taken that I cannot see? It's clear to me now that Red McCombs Toyota Service repeatedly cut corners. Whether it's due to laziness, lack of training, or trying to get jobs done faster, I don't know. What I do know is I shouldn't have to spend my own time crawling under my vehicle to reinstall bolts and replace missing hardware because someone didn't do their job. I'm done with Red McCombs Toyota Service. If you care about your vehicle, check their work. Because, based on my experience, they might not.
