We visited K9 Resorts at their grand opening in Mount Pleasant a few years ago, and have been happy…read morecustomers ever since. We're so impressed by their facility, professionalism, and especially their kind and capable staff. Our small rescue pup has boarded there several times, and she really enjoys it. I love how she gets to play with other small dogs, indoors and out; we appreciate them having separate areas for large and small dogs. They take excellent care of her, even giving her a nice bath on the last morning. Just picked her up after a stay, and she looked happy, fit, and ready for a nice nap. Highly recommend K9 Resorts for taking care of your precious pup.

I'm very disappointed with our recent experience at K9 Pet Resort…read more My dog developed cherry eye while at daycare, and no one contacted me to inform me that there was a medical issue. I only discovered it myself after picking her up. When you leave your pet in the care of a facility, you expect close supervision and immediate communication if something is wrong. Cherry eye is not something minor, it's a visible eye condition that requires attention, especially for breeds that are already prone to eye problems. The most concerning part of this situation was the lack of notification. As a pet owner, I should have been informed right away so I could make decisions about her care. Daycare staff are responsible for monitoring the dogs and reporting injuries or health concerns when they happen. That communication did not occur, and that breaks trust. I hope the facility improves its health monitoring and owner communication procedures, so this does not happen to another dog.

They do a great job, very by the book, and always have the dogs smelling great when you pick them up. It's a little thing, but to me all the little things out up to one big thing! Strongly recommend.

Nope. Was optimistic with trying out DD after reading decent reviews but I found it a little…read moreuncomfortable that they told me they don't accept your pet's normal food and only give out Blue (unless you have an Rx food)- but I bought into it because I wanted to switch my dog over anyway. While our dogs were there, we got no communication or indication of anything. When my boyfriend picked our pups up, he felt extremely rushed because of the line and didn't get to talk long to anyone about their stay. I ended up calling myself and literally had to "prod" for answers about how everything went. Only got "they did well" and no details of anything. I know no news is good news, but I could've used a little more detail instead of one word answers and me being the only one talking. The icing on the cake was when our dogs came home, the one who was w other dogs got EXTREMELY sick and the other who was in private play caught the bug 24 hours later from the first. We know anxiety poops after change of scenery/boarding/etc. this was NOT that and our vet needed to prescribe antibiotics because it continued to last into a week and wasn't getting any better. Not saying the bug is anyones fault, but it's the last straw I needed to never go back. Thanks but no thanks!

I now see that it's not just me and this has been going on since the store opened. (See all 2-star…read morereviews and bellow, some 3-star) WHY do they post instore & on their website as well as having a sign "salon walk-in services" when you walk in the door 2-6 Yappy Hour, Mon-Fri! CLEARLY, they don't understand the concept of "walk-in service" NOT requiring an appointment!!! I've have tried to 3x's this year (its April) to get my dog in during yappy hour and the first time no one was there-they were closed-shut down/lights off and everything. The manager on duty opened up the salon and did her nails himself. However, no real apology, just that he had to manage his employee hours & it was slow. It was 5pm! I even left work to get there during Yappy Hour. The second time I had an appointment for 1 of my dogs and was going to bring the other back when they were finished just to get her nails trimmed. I was told they wouldn't be able to get her in because they were booked... It states you provide WALK-IN services on the sign I just passed! Today the third attempt since they told me to try back during the week and today was Tuesday, I go in at 5:20pm and was meant by Andrienna who was quite rude and unforgiving. She made it clear that I had to make an appointment regardless of what your store sign states, and that they had already closed everything down and were leaving... EXTREMLY unprofessional and definitely not a customer service centered business. Again, no empathy, no apology, just attitude like I was disgusting her. DO BETTER PETSMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be reposting this to as many places as I can. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

It's in a convenient location and not typically too busy. Their biggest downfall is not carrying prescription pet food, but this is only because they do not have a Banfield Vet onsite.
