Cute little place in Madison WI. We met friends here and the drinks were good and the staff was quite nice. The menu looked good for bar food however we didn't try any as we were off to have dinner at another place... we just met at this place for a before dinner drink! It is worth stopping in for a drink or more... read more

My friend and I stopped for a girls dinner out before Zoo Lights on Friday night. We ordered fried portobello mushrooms as an appetizer. They we large and meaty and plenty for two, with a great sauce. Then we ordered the blue gill and cheesy hash brown potatoes. It came with 5 fish filets again, plenty to share. And finished with peanut butter pie and ice cream. Yummy. The service was outstanding. read more

The waitress and food was excellent. I and 2 of my lady friends were having our monthly lunch. We are all seniors. After we paid (over 20% tip and $75 food) we were showing each other our grandkids on our phones, and this mid 40's, blondish hair, probably a manager of some sort, came up to our table and said "I have people coming in, you're going to have to leave." There was one table occupied inside. The outside (where we were) was busy but people were regularly leaving . We are all good customers even during the coronavirus days. She ruined the whole lunch! (that's why 3 stars) read more

Decor/service: super friendly staff with quick service. Nice clean place with a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Food: the food was good all around as were the drinks. Rum and coke was mixed up perfectly. Cheese curds fried to perfection and the fried chicken was cooked well. read more

Had a good experience here! No reservation on a Saturday night and they were able to sit out group of 5 outside immediately. All the staff were kind and attentive. Drinks were delicious. I had the chicken wrap and would say it didn't live up to my expectations but everyone else in our group loved their food read more

How I have traveled here five or six times and not known about this location?? The food was delicious - the French fries!!! - and the craft beer selection has to be the best in the area. read more

Nice beer selection, featuring some locals and other craft beer. Interesting menu. Dill brined chicken wings were really good. And someone had great taste on the jukebox! read more

I didn't care much for the limited menu. Nice beer selection. I ordered the cheese curds. I didn't care for them. It had a chili powder which was not my personal preference. Parking can be a chore. read more

The service was great, our server, who was a young lady with a bun, was pleasant and nice but the food was underwhelming. 16 bucks for a burger that was the size of my palm. Then 2 bucks extra for bottom of the basket fries. My friend got a chicken sandwich that had paper thin chicken and bread that was made from when Jesus was born. 42 dollars for both our meals. Overall good service but the food was NOT it. read more

We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on a busy Friday night. The pan seared walleye and cheesy hashbrowns were scrumptious! Very good clam chowder as well! The service was excellent. We will come back! read more

Food was amazing, which was a pleasant surprise given the awful service. Was at the bar for a solid 15 minutes before any even made eye contact with or ask if I wanted a drink. I've never seen such a tiny place with so many employees with such terrible service. That said, the chicken was amazing! Wish they had better service or else I'd go back without hesitation, but it was that bad. I asked my Uber driver if he'd ever been there and he said no because he'd dropped off employees there and they talked so negatively of the place that he never wanted to go in. Not surprising. Please note that this is also one of those places that charges YOU a fee to take your payment via credit card, which is usually a sign of a terribly run business. They are charging you a fee to take your money. read more

Very reasonable prices, good food and a wide selection of beers. We sat on the patio and enjoyed ourselves. My chicken sandwich was very good and the desserts were delicious and reasonably priced too. Would definitely go back and want to try the brunch soon too. Came here again for brunch with friends, I was jonesing for something sweet so I ordered the French toast with berries and a side of bacon. Toast was very light and fluffy with some blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. Bacon was crisp and salty, and I also had a screwdriver to wash it down. I also sampled the biscuits and gravy (average) and Cromag (sp?) omelet (delicious variety of sautéed veggies). Need to come here more often for brunch! And I even managed a pic of my French toast before it was devoured! read more

Our son introduced us to Off Broadway when we were in the area to visit. We've just moved here, and it was where we ate on our first night as residents. The food and service are consistently top-notch. The fried chicken thighs are a favorite, along with most all of the dessert choices. The liquor and beer choices are also very good. In short, you really can't go wrong here and I definitely recommend. read more

We were seated quickly and our server was very friendly and prompt. I got the risotto, two at our table got the chicken strips for adults and the other got the power bowl. Food came out and the risotto was more like very thin cream soup. I was very disappointed, it was flavorless and was like some veggies floating in milk. However, the others at the table really liked their food so there ya go. Oh well. Just an off day maybe. I would try it again but not the risotto. read more

I love this place! The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the drinks are great! All over... A home run for us!

A cosy place with two out door seating areas for nice weather.. One is a heated deck which is nice. Service was great as was the food. Nice touches such as the fries coming in a bucket with the wax paper and two dipping sauces. I don't often give five stars but this restaurant deserves it. Give it a try. read more

Removed a star for telephone service. It must have been a new girl as she knew nothing. I was put on hold for 3 minutes or more at a time. I decided not to pay by phone as she would never had been able to handle the transaction. We picked up our carry out order and procedures did not seem to be known. Why was a surcharge charged for not enough money spent. What were the other additional charges? I was given a rag and a spray bottle to clean my own table. All that said. The food was delicious RIB SATURDAY SPECIAL as was the beer. The restaurant has a very cute outside dining area and I felt very safe from COVID. read more

Food appears to be a step up from simple bar food, with many options. The service has always been great. The wait staff is very friendly and patient. Ambiance is nice. This is my new favorite brunch place! I ordered the eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary and both items were delicious! I enjoyed the fact that the ham on the eggs Benedict were thick and juicy. Most places use Canadian bacon as a pass for ham but it's not the same. The ham and eggs were cooked just perfectly! The eggs were soft and runny and you didn't need much of the hollandaise sauce because the eggs were perfect but the sauce topped as a garnish on top was the perfect finish to this dish. If you go here you definitely have to try the eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. Also, their potato hash is delicious! read more

We were asked by the restaurant (from our review on Facebook) to PM them a description of the events. The attached image is their response. You can always find a handful of IPAs on tap for cheap too; they had a pint Odell for just $5 when we went. We started with the Tres carnes sliders, and ended with the War pig, Ribs and more beer. The three meat in the sliders were pork, bison, lamb. Just typing this out gives me the meat sweats. The sliders were bigger than your average and were enough to be a meal on their own. The blend worked well together, without one overpowering the other, and not a hint of gaminess flavor. The War pig is where it's at. They take a pork loin, pound it super flat. Flat enough to make room for the ham and bacon they add on top of it. It is a marvel. The Ribs were on special for Saturday nights and after a string of bad experiences, these redeemed all of those other bad ribs. The meat fell off the bones without any of that under cooked, sliminess, unpleasantness. It was smokey and the sauce just had the right amount of tart and twang to it. Probs my new go to haunt. read more

Ate lunch here awhile back. A long while as I recall it was before being required to dress up as a bank robber. The burger was great and fries that accompanied were fresh and crispy. The bevies were also grand. I'm currently getting gas from the sketchy nearby quick trip I recently shared perspective with, and thinking I might get a burger in the coming moments. Some friends and I went there last night and decided to try their Sat-Sun rib special. Ribs were disappointing: VERY poor cuts, small, ...and little flavor. Added to the shock was, when we asked for some sauce for the ribs, we found $2 charge for it on each bill. WTH? read more

Outstanding visit for dinner last week. Our server was attentive and friendly. We were seated on the outdoor patio after a short wait, which was perfect - much quieter than the bustling interior on a Friday night, and beautifully lit up. The fried cheese curds with garlic aioli were outstanding. The goat cheese crostini was also fabulous - so creamy and rich! I had a burger, which was huge and perfectly cooked - but I was so full by then! Outstanding selection of local craft beers on tap. We had a fantastic night at Off Broadway and I would absolutely return if I am in the area. read more

Nice outdoor seating in parking lot where they have put up a tent and a few tables with umbrellas. Went here for Sunday brunch. Cheese curds are really good with a special seasoning salt on the breading - a little zing! The biscuits and gravy were not as hot as I would have liked and could use some seasoning, quite bland. I had to add salt and pepper. The prime rib sandwich was a good size and flavorful, bread is nice and fluffy, and the potatoes it came with were hot and crispy. read more

Blue collar fine dining. $$ Nestled in a neighborhood, just off of Broadway in south Monona, lies this newly renovated establishment. It's a bar and restaurant. No, they don't serve their own beer. Yes, the food is good. We both said we'd come back. Pros: Good food. Rotating menu. Good beer selection. Newly renovated. USB outlets at each booth. Dinner was $40 for two people, two beers, one appetizer, and two entrees. Cons: Small parking lot (like 7 stalls). Street parking is available. Very crowded - we went on a Wednesday and there was only one table open. Which brings me to the next topic. It was really loud inside. Like sports bar loud. Service was also slow - from seating to leaving - it took just over 2 hours. They also had bikes and lawn mowers hanging from the ceiling which appeared to be for sale (???). I wanted the ribs but they only make them on Saturdays . read more
