I heard such good things about this place so I figured why not give it a try. Boy do I regret it. I…read moregot the orange dragon and jazz roll. The orange dragon roll wasn't great but nothing to really complain about just subpar. the jazz roll on the other hand, was inedible. I had to spit it out. I could tell from first looks that something was off. the spicy tuna on top looked nothing like the photo, it was gray and brown in color. The roll that has shrimp tempura didn't have any ends/tails on it and tasted like it it could've been cooked days/weeks ago, tasted like the inside of a fridge. Everything was extremely fishy and old. I called up to let the Owner know, but he didn't seem to care or worry about the food safety. Do not recommend. Edit to respond to owner: I want to note that the tone of your response here is very different from how the conversation went on the phone. It feels like you're trying to present things more carefully now, which was not my experience during our call. After speaking with you on the phone, I did not feel that my concerns about the fish were taken seriously. I eat sushi 2-3 times a week, and I have never encountered fish with that kind of taste before. Additionally, the shrimp tempura did not seem fresh - it was soggy and had an off taste, almost like it had been sitting in a refrigerator. When food is bad enough that someone has to spit it out, that's a clear sign it isn't fresh.

So, I ordered a party platter for $100 to share with guests. I specifically asked for no vegetable rolls. For that kind of money, I want all fish. When I got home, there were 46 pieces of maki (practically half the platter) with no fish only avocado, cucumber, carrot, mushroom, etc. Obviously, I was not pleased. I gave my guests the fish, and my wife and I ate the "$50 salad!" I went back the next day to tell them what happened. Now I am not looking for any freebies, but I felt it important to voice my complaint. Let me tell you that I was not heard at all. No "sorry." Nothing, not even a response. As I was leaving, I said, "So that's it." No response. I am aware that their English is not perfect, but the chef understood what happened. My picture shows the $100 platter. The chopstick shows how many pieces contained no fish. This was a communication problem, but they need to own up to their error. It is really too bad because the sushi is good, but how can you trust a business that has no concern for their customers. I will stick with Umami on Main Street; the owner/chef is a sweetheart. BTW, my location is saying Brookhaven for some reason; I am a Huntington resident in Halesite.

We loved all the sushi rolls we ordered, the tempura was super crunchy and spicy rolls had a nice kick. A lot of the rolls had shrimp tempura, spicy tuna combos. For dessert we went to duck island bakery next door.

What a delightful surprise! I cannot believe this place has been here for like 8 years and I've…read morenever tried them before. Shame on me! Met up with a friend for a girls dinner out a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful time. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty quiet, so there were no concerns about social distancing. The bartender and waiters were all wearing masks and were super friendly as well. Onto the menu. Prepare yourself for a ton of dumpling options, like half the menu is devoted to the delicacy. And each dumpling is unusual and creative with the most delicious combinations. Being an Asian fusion place, the options run the gamut, from hot pots, to steamed buns and of course, back to dumplings. We tried the French Onion dumplings since they are the most talked about and they were delicious! Served on a plate that usually would hold escargot, I think. We also tried a few others, but the winning dumpling was filled with sweet potato, bacon, and cheese, as recommended by the waiter (I always ask what they like). I don't recall the name but it was one of the best and most interesting combinations in a dumpling that I've ever had. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary and a flavor explosion in your mouth, head to Ichiz. You may surprise yourself, like me!

I'm confused by this place. It is an upscale Asian fusion tapas spot. Interesting concept, but the…read moretiny portions for steep prices and long waits for rather average food was not for me. Miso soup was pretty standard. The french onion soup dumplings were interesting but I would not have them again. I thought the tuna carpaccio was very good, fresh, and flavorful. The chicken jalapeño dumplings were alright. I would not go there expecting a filling meal. Service was friendly but slow and halted. We had a couple servers and they kind of were both taking orders and it got confusing. It was not a particularly busy day - we were one of three customers groups and the others were at the bar, and not ordering much from the kitchen.

The elegance is nice. Service (4/5): Understanding that the restaurant was extremely busy this day, we did not get the best service. They forgot to give us the table bread which we had to ask for after our appetizers came. They knew we were sharing everything so it was nice that they had pre-sliced everything and provided us sharing plates during the meal. Food (4/5): This is review is specific for their Mother's Day fixed prix menu ($125/pp which btw is $115 for Father's day 2026). Sad to say overall, the price point was not worth the food we received, as it was way overpriced. Potato bread (6/5): This is one of the best table bread I've ever had--the softness and flavors are so good that I would sacrifice stomach space for 5 servings of this! Use the leftover butter for your steaks! Blue Point Oysters (5/5): Super fresh! Delicious Lobster shrimp wontons (4/5): Wonderful presentation just okay on flavor. Lukewarm upon serving. Red Roof Roll (4/5): The portion of fish was pretty generous! Tasted fresh as well. They were out of the 38oz porterhouse for 2 by 7p. New York Strip Steak (4/5): Cooked as requested, however not enough fat to make it melt in your mouth as the cuts were a bit too tough. The dry aged taste was great. Filet Mignon (4/5): I don't think this piece was as good as I remember. It needed their house steak sauce to give the dish any flavor. Pork Tenderloin with Carrot Puree sauce (2/5): Each piece was tough, not much flavor to it, carrot sauce did not give it any more flavor. Scottish Salmon (5/5): This was my favorite dish of the 4; it was juicy and had lots of flavor to the butter sauce. Crème Brule and cheesecake were wonderful. The carrot cake was dry and half of it was leftover.

The service is always fantastic (9.8/10), the staff is very attentive and friendly. The view is lovely (9.5/10) as the restaurant sits on the sound with lots of boats that dock in this area. The food was okay (7.5/10) I had the iceberg wedge as my starter (9/10), next we shared a porterhouse for 2 (6/10) which could have used a bit more seasoning, thank goodness it came with a house made steak sauce which was DELICIOUS (I hated to use it because the meat's flavor should stand alone). I also had asparagus that was over cooked (5/10) and Mac n cheese that was very creamy (8/10). We ended dinner with the 7-layer chocolate cake from Juniors (10/10).
