First things first, I must say that I have had nothing but good experiences here at KC's Nutty…read moreRoller. The place, despite its age, is very clean and well kept, and the rink is very smooth and well taken care of. I see that there are a lot of reviews on here speaking bad about the owner. I feel obliged to clear some things up. These people who are saying bad things about him are so entitled. Keith (the owner) has rules posted on the door, and they've been in place for years. Naturally, a business has the right to enforce their own policies and deny service to anyone who breaks these rules. If you have any intelligence and foresight at all, you can understand why these rules are there. For instance, I have heard/seen a lot of people complain about the fact that they do not just let any skates in on the rink. Well, you have to understand there are differences between indoor and outdoor wheels, and allowing skates with outdoor wheels on the rink can greatly damage the surface and cause injury. Also, roller blades with the brake attached to the back are not permitted because they can scuff the surface of the rink. I have seen with my own eyes people try to bring in roller blades that are flat out missing wheels, and I'm thankful the owner does not permit these people to skate there. That would be endangerment! As for people complaining about the dress code, there are signs on the doors when you come in informing people about the dress code, so I don't know why you'd be in such a huff about something which has been spelled out for you, right before your eyes. Just pay attention! The dress code is there for a reason, and it's a reason I'm grateful for; with the way some people dress these days, I'm glad KC's creates a family friendly environment, especially since there are lots of kids who go there. I mean, these people were in the paper for not letting some kid in a wheelchair onto the rink. Talk about some entitled parents trying to stir up trouble for some honest people! A wheelchair on the rink is not only a hazard for the person sitting in it, but it's also a hazard for other skaters on the rink. Think straight, people! Does having a wheelchair on a roller rink sound like a good idea? I could rant on and on about the kinds of stunts these entitled people try to pull on these folks, but I'll leave my review with this: KC's is a great place, and you shouldn't listen to these poor reviews. Keith (the owner) is a great guy, and if you follow the rules and are respectful (like a decent human being), you will get along perfectly fine! Just don't cause trouble, people. Beyond that, sound system sounds great, and the lighting system makes a final touch. Thumbs up for KC's Nutty Roller from me!

The wood floor is waxed, the music is booming, and the owners are welcoming and attentive to the needs of their customers. They love their business, and it reflects in the joy of their customers and the energy and overall vibe of the place. There is nothing else like it for hundreds of miles. Truth be told: West Texas can be a very cold and unforgiving environment for vintage entertainment activities, such as RollerRinks and Game Arcades -- the region is hard on businesses that generally thrive and boom in an urban environment. Skateland offers both Skating and Arcading, and unlike the oil booms in this part of the world, it ain't going nowhere. It's an honor and privilege to see a place like Skateland thrive, survive, and dominate its 21st century digital landscape.

They…read morehave a small area sectioned off for the little ones learning to skate, so they can learn and be safe from the big "kids." All of the arcade games work, not many available though. There is a small pool table & a snack bar. They have a projector that displays the Spotify playlist. You can request music as well. You can have private/semi-private parties. One draw back to visiting Skateland on a Friday night is the LINE waiting to get in is a mile long. Most of the kids in line get dropped off an HOUR BEFORE doors open! The owners Cody & Amanda have some older kids to help out with security but some of these kids that get dropped off need a good old fashioned butt whoopin! Other than the occasional little teenie bopper jerk it's a fun place to hang out. The owners have a lot on their plate and could use help keeping kids in check. If you see something that is out of line or kids getting out of hand call them out on it or let Cody & Amanda know so they can have the kids removed.
