Aside from the main function of the theatre there is also a cinema available in which there is often a afternoon matinee (perfect for the kids). The second smaller screen is very intimate and is enjoyable when it is quite empty but I find it quite annoying if it is full up and there are people chatting or messing around. This is my one complaint about this cinema, I have seen quite a bit of silly behaviour from groups of teenagers and I know that this can be difficult for staff to deal with. I do much prefer this cinema to the big cineworld in Ashford for atmosphere and price, the only reason we would go to ashford is if the film we wnted to see wasn't on in Folkestone.

The seats in the larger theatre are a little small and uncomfortable but the ones in the right hand theatre have been replaced. What I love about this place is they still have a reasonable policy on charging for popcorn and sweets its only a little more than the shops, whereas at the larger multiplexes you end up paying more for a drink and pop corn than you did for the theatre tickets. This place is never a busy as a multiplex and its great for when you want to go to a new release film but cant be doing with the crowds at the multiplexes. Friendly staff, although it is upstairs so not good if you are disabled or need help.

(I've heard they don't earn anything from their ticket sales) The cinema is always clean and the toilets are lovely and hygenic as well. Update: 6/10/23 Vue advised they were logging a complaint due to the incident & would be in contact with us which they did follow through via email confirming they'd be back in touch again once they'd looked into the matter but sadly we've not heard back!... 6/10/23 Last night on the 5th at 20:10 I had gone out to watch the new saw film in the Thurrock lakeside bye branch. I have never been so disgusted and humiliated in my life. The seat I had been allocated was not checked and the person in the prior film had urinated on it. I had been sitting there and only noticed till I got up for the first time at the end of the film that my clothing was damp. I have got the managers name (leon Francis) who was on duty last night. He said he could not do much or help assist in the situation that occurred at your venue. Which has resulted in me having to drive home in the same cloths. Which also means been in my car so now I will have to pay for the car to be valeted and also all my cloths taken to a cleaners. I am livid at this situation and disgusted at how poor this has been managed the fact I've had to walk around and drive home with someone else's urine on my cloths. I was eating in the seat touching it. This is incredibly unhygienic and am furious with the branch as nothing was helped to deal with the situation. A standard ticket is very expensive at around £12 a ticket. So for £17.50 a month you can become a Cineworld member and will have unlimited movies and 10% of food and drink. When to have this card you can book online. The trailers last generally for around about 30 minutes so you can always get in and watch the movie even if you're late. Free parking outside which gets filled up at peak times very quickly.

I am only giving this 4 Stars as I think that there always seem to not be enough staff serving the customers and the queues always seem long unless you have pre-booked online and you can retrieve your tickets from a terminal on the wall with your credit card.
