We happened upon this place while driving through Salmon on our way through Idaho, and screeched to a halt. We'd just bought a loaf of supermarket bread but we ignored it, once we got a nice sourdough rye from Oddfellows. I'm a home baker and bread snob, and this loaf was a delight. We got it sliced so we could use it on the road for picnics. It kept well and we savored it for almost a week. Sourdough keeps well and this was a great loaf for traveling. The only minor complaint I have is that the young lady who waited on us had no idea of the flour content of the loaves on offer-- she got the baker from the back, so we got to meet him and express our appreciation directly. read more

We were traveling through and stopped here. This was the kind of place you wish, was in your town. Looking at the pastry case, we were undecided. Finally we chose a swiss cheese/ham breakfast crossiant. Wow, so delicious, light and fluffy. On the way out we decided to get a few homemade cookies for the road, but again looked at the cinnamon buns. We bought the cookies, and down the road when we opened the bag..they had giev us the cinnamon buns. Well worth every calorie. The staff is wonderful. Wish I could go back every morning. read more

A wonderful find in the small town of Salmon. I wasn't expecting a bakery of this quality here so it was a pleasant surprise. There is a sizable variety and selection of breads and pastries. Stopped in on my way out of town and was pleasantly surprised. It was about 7:30am on Wednesday and there was already a good amount of people inside. Service was quick, and the baked goods and coffee were on point!! I got the raspberry-lime muffin and iced latte and both I would easily order again. Highly recommend and definitely will be back when I'm in town. :) read more

I love this place! They have fantastic pasteries and bread. I'm a huge fan of their muffins and danishes but everything I've ever tried has been delicious. I also love their pizza which they make for an occasional film festival upstairs. read more

They make a good espresso. They're good for any mountain biking info you need with a map of Disco Trails mounted on the wall. Awesome fresh baked bread (like finished a loaf in 4 hours that was supposed to last two days good). It's more of a caffeine and baked goods kind of breakfast though, don't go looking for a breakfast sandwich (the only thing I'd like to see added to they're offerings). read more

What a gem! We loved stopping here for breakfast bagels (big enough to share, very easy to customize) and coffee. Then we'd stop by in the afternoon for a treat (chocolate croissant) and another Americano. Beautiful artwork displayed and for sale, along with books and pottery. Upstairs seating area, great place to read a book on a cloudy day. Brought home a loaf of the "80 mile" bread. So good!! read more

Best bagels I've ever had. These guys would have given H&H in NYC a run for their money. The pastries and breads are fabulous. Pizza from the wood-fired oven in the back on Wednesdays and live music. The food was good, but pretty overpriced for the breakfast sandwiches as well as much of the merchandise.

We visited this place last year and very much enjoyed ourselves then, except were disappointed that they were out of their world famous coconut macaroons. Everyone who recommended this place said that we had to try them. We returned this past week and finally got to taste them. It was well worth the wait. Yum!! The macaroons were toasted and crunchy on the outside while being moist and pillowy in the center. Then drizzled with some chocolate, these treats were heavenly. BTW, we got some to go and most of them didn't make it home. read more

I only ate the bread I went every morning for a week. The people I was with love all the other great stuff. The staff is great and the building is clean and very cool all brick. Good bread. Real coffee. What more can you ask for? I asked for a dry cappuccino and got a dry cappuccino which is no small feat for baristas in out of the way places. Frankly, the breakfast menu is slim, but this is a bakery afterall, and the few items on the menu are more than made up for by their quality. So I walk away satisfied and satiated. read more

This place was simply amazing! Stumbled upon it driving through and can't say enough good things. Had an empanada for lunch (hot out of the oven), a great espresso, and then had buy a loaf of their bread. I am so sad they aren't closer to where I live because the bread is out of this world. Although we have driven thru Salmon Idaho many times over the years, this was the first time we spent time in town. The Odd Fellows bakery was a blessing. The first day we had the ham and cheese croissant, blueberry scone to go and terrific coffee. The next visit it was the breakfast sandwich which was elevated beyond expectations. Steamed eggs with ham on a croissant with pesto aioli, and hazelnut coffee cake. The drip coffee and my husband latte at 140 degrees was perfect. As we sat eating breakfast a huge rack of fresh baked bread rolled by. We came back later that day to pick up a loaf to have with our dinner that night back in camp. read more

Had some of their bread and cookies on a fishing trip this summer. Both the bread and cookies were awesome. I wish they were located in Texas. I highly recommend. read more
