With nowhere else to shop or eat for miles around, and me preparing to drive up into the mountains to follow the Lewis and Clark trail, I was hoping that this local landmark would provide something to go that would serve as lunch. But all they had were some ham and cheese sandwiches on croissant rolls from some deli in Salmon. Not to my taste. I gloomily grabbed a bag of cheese curds from the deli case (which turned to be not very good) and a bag of snack candy, and I could have had beef jerky as well. Not really much of lunch.
Seems to be decent enough as a local small grocery if you live in the area, with a fair selection of canned food and a small freezer case. And the proprietor was extremely helpful and well-informed about the unpaved road conditions up there. I'll give him good marks for that, but I'm here to review food. read more
