I've been coming here for the last three years. They have never disappointed me. The food is made to order. It's always fresh. They use real ingredients. Like eggs. Makes all the difference in the world. They have fresh pastries. They have wonderful coffee. They have tables inside & out. The staff remembers you and how you like your food. Can't say enough good things about them. I would show you the food except my family dives into them so quickly I'm not fast enough. Haven't felt less welcome on BI in the 25 + years I've been going. I walk in and get side eyed immediately by the attendant, like my cappuccino order was the chore of the century. A second worker comes along and dutifully makes it, but it's luke warm. I heard the same story from everyone in our group of 9 who went in separately (3 additional people). I gave an extra star because even a bad experience is elevated on the Block. Of course this is obviously a personnel issue and your results may (and hopefully will) differ. We went here today for a quick breakfast. It was very crowded, but the service was quick! The employees were very friendly and helpful as well. The prices were very reasonable for all of their items. The large hot coffee was only $2.75! I had a hot chocolate and it had too much milk added and not enough chocolate flavor. The blueberry muffin I had was delicious! It had tons of fresh blueberries and the crumble on top was really good as well. read more

Cute cafe right by Block Island ferry/pier! One of the few places open during May, so it was busier, but the staff were helpful and efficient. When our sandwich order was forgotten, we were quickly offered a bakery item as compensation. Food was good--fresh, clean ingredients! Plentiful seating inside and outside. read more

While visiting Block Island we found Odd Fellows to be a quaint coffee shop and cafe. It was one of the last weekends on the island and many of the other local spots haven't opened their doors due to short staff, Odd Fellows is hustling and bustling to quickly serve the community. Their food is fresh and prepared perfectly. The line may be long but the spirit is friendly, alive, and the food is worth the wait. When ordering coffee, choose carefully. They're not fibbing when they mention the dark roast! It is strong and delicious, they also sell their beans whole so you can travel and grind fresh. Love this spot for breakfast and lunch! Steps away from the ferry and the tourist heart of Block Island. We ordered egg sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, pastry, and coffees and loved every meal! read more

Cannot recommend this island gem enough! Right off the boat tucked up a few steps is delicious off fellows! They have rotating seasonal coffees. I tried their fall Samoa flavor and it hooked me to order the rest of the season. Their eggs are so delicious, coming from a family farm, and my favorite part has to be that you can simply order a side of buttered sourdough toast for about $2. It's simple, delicious, and amazing for that mid day coffee when you don't want anything big like a sandwich but want something to soak up that coffee! They have some high tables inside, some outdoor porch chairs, and several metal tables and chairs to accommodate larger parties. Prices are good, quality is excellent, and there usually isn't much of a line/wait as they are a quick efficient staff! read more

We stopped at odd Fellows a couple of times during our short stay and the coffee was very good. But the morning we left we both got what was probably the best blueberry muffin I've ever had. Still warm from the oven, the top had a slight crunch and the muffin was studded with delicious sweet juicy blueberries surrounded by perfect cake, not gummy or dry. Being the closest open place for the early morning ferry, it didn't have to be good, as we sadly learned at Bru in Point Judith, so we gratefully savored our breakfast while we waited in line in our car. The barista stuck his dirty finger in my hot chocolate. I was here August 15th and ordered a hot chocolate to warm up from the windy somewhat chilly day. The cashier/barista was new (based on the questions he asked other staff such as "so I steam the milk and add mocha?". I'm the only customer in line so there's no rush or madness going on. I see him making it behind the counter and then after it's made it looked like his finger touched the hot chocolate content. At first glance I didn't think anything of it because it sometimes happens in the food making process. THEN I SEE HIM TAKE HIS FINGER AND SUBMERGE IT ONE INCH INTO MY HOT CHOCOLATE??? Maybe to assess the temperature??? I should have immediately demanded a refund but I was in such shock that this kind of stupidity exists in the world. This is why COVID is not controlled. Odd fellows cafe is new to the island! Super cute place! Located right across from the ferries its pretty popular. Ive been in there a bunch of times. Every time I go I get the sweetest greeting and they're always super accommodating. They have a pretty cool menu too! Breakfast and lunch stuff. They also have vending machines with quick grab and go food and drinks. They are my favorite place to go for coffee especially when I need to drink my coffee and relax. They have seating outside and a beautifully done lounge upstairs. Great place if you're looking to sit down and waste some time but also a great grab and go place. It used to be the old toy store with a spa upstairs. Now it's four different pop up shops and the cafe. Everyone there is super inviting and welcoming. I really enjoy their service and food! I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich here. It was cooked perfect- hot and delicious! I also purchased a frozen coffee- also delicious but super airy and full of air bubbles even after mixing them out they came back. The next day I decided to get an ice coffee instead. It was very tasty but I asked for a straw- I have difficulties drinking without one. And they said no because it is a "sippy cup". My frozen coffee came with one the day before so I didn't understand why I couldn't get one upon request. Oh well- I managed haha read more

I have been staying on block island for the summer and I go everyday to get coffee. And I mean every. day. The staff is awesome so helpful and quick. I love getting an almond milk latte and the matcha tea. The sandwiches are EXCELLENT.
