The line and wait for the food is way too long for the quality of food they give. The place is very small there are only a couple tables and the line is awkward out the door so you can't get in or out. I went twice the first time my late was good the second they did it wrong twice. The avacado toast wasn't really toasted it was avacado on stale thick bread. I wasn't impressed. The second time I had gone for the coffee only and it wasn't the same

    Lala toast!

Persephones is the best! The food is fresh and phenomenal and Persephone and all her employees are rays of sunshine!! I look forward to coming every year!

Wonderful! Quaint little breakfast spot just around the corner from the hustle and bustle. Inside and outside seating, it's best to walk or ride a bike there. Service is very professional and efficient. Breakfast sandwich, espresso and pastry were all delicious. It's always our first stop when we're in town.

In my humble opinion this is the BEST place on block island to get coffee and breakfast items. They have a few vegan options on their menu which is incredible! Wish they had more vegan pastries if course, I didn't get any either day I went. They had a vegan cow poke type cookie but I skipped it and went for the vegan just egg breakfast sandwich. Okay the blackberry syrup is TO DIE FOR I keep thinking about it! UGH I wish I could come here more. To say that this is a favorite of mine would be an understatement. Worth the line and wait, worth the money. Great service and vibes. Beautiful location!!!!!!!!

Let's start with the amazing food!! My friend and I stopped in during a very very busy day (Saturday during August!) and ordered sandwiches to go. I tried half of a Ti Penso and half of the Sun sandwich. Both were delicious but I loved the Sun, it was super flavorful without being heavy and was something I hadn't tried before. The Ti Penso was tasty as well, but definitely felt the Sun won out. The spot is super busy so be warned that the wait times (at no fault of the staff!) are extreme. We got in line at 12:15, ordered at 12:45 and got our food around 1:30. So overall waited over an hour for two sandwiches. However, I imagine if you came during a quiet period it would be a great place to sit inside and read!

A must try at block island! the line may seem long but it moves quickly. we were able to grab a seat in doors once we ordered. we ordered a lavender latte and matcha latte - both which were great! the lavender is sourced directly from the island which is amazing. we both got their classic egg sandwich, and it was delicious and perfectly portioned. the prices weren't too bad either - being $37 total with the drinks! I would definitely recommend and understand why there's such a long line there!

~ 5 min walk from the ferry. Perfect place to grab a quick sandwich and drink. The line can get long but moves fairly quick. Seating inside is very limited, but there's a decent amount of patio seating. Bathroom available for customers!

Very good egg sandwhiches. Fast customer service and good staff. We went there on a saturday afternoon and was not that packed. We got seats pretty quickly. Very cool cafe.

So cute and delicious! They have a surprisingly large menu including lots of tea and coffee options. The line moved pretty quickly and the breakfast sandwiches were yummy! It is very popular and absolutely worth going to for breakfast when you're on the island!

Absolutely love Perspephone's. Great inventive menu, super cute decor, choice of indoor and outdoor seating, surprisingly reasonable prices, and the toasts are fresh and delicious. There's a little bit of a wait to collect your order but I promise it's well worth it!

Perfect for a light breakfast. The hazelnut latte and specialty lattes are delicious. Located right on the water (you'll see it when you get off the ferry). We got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich in addition to the avocado toast with goat cheese, honey and bacon. I do wish there was more bacon, but still very tasty. Quick service. Beachy vibes.

Dunkin's English muffin breakfast sandwich is much better (which isn't saying much).

Not impressed at all! My wife and I got breakfast sandwiches on English muffins. Neither of our English muffins was toasted (really?! Yes). The scrambled eggs seemed to be microwaved and bland. Portions were really small. We were hungry about 2 hours later. Our sandwiches were much more expensive than the nearby bagel shop, had a much longer wait, and were not nearly as good. My wife ordered decaf coffee. She ended up pouring it out since it was undrinkable. This place is not seem worth the hype... I'd never go back.

LaLa Toast and the Blue Ginger Smoothie! Both were fabulous and hit the spot

Food and Storefront were fabulous. The toast and smoothie were a perfect blend of sweet and savory. The art on the walls is nice to look at. Long line to order and no AC so kind of humid in the shop. Service was friendly enough and food came out within 10 min within the lunch rush.

Inside is an old farmhouse and outside is huge with lots of seating. Don't miss the old military truck in the front. They have seasonal drinks along with a regular menu. They also had a lot of pastries when I was there. I can imagine it would be very crowded in the warmer months as it looks like a great place to spend time and enjoy coffee. I will be back soon to try more.

Online orders were also closed that morning so we had to wait. The staff itself were very friendly once we were inside, but oddly enough, I found some of the other customers to be rude. Maybe they needed their morning coffee. The location itself was beautiful outside, so many little places to sit and enjoy food. There was live music as well. The food was ok! I got the coffee milk iced latte as I've never had coffee milk, and it was quite sweet, but that's what it's supposed to be. I felt like I had way more ice than expected, because my drink was done with just maybe 5 sips? I think next time I'd definitely get the larger size of coffee, the price difference is minimal but the size difference was huge. The bacon egg and cheese on the English muffin was good. Good quality, just a little dry. You can pay extra for sauces, which if I go again I would do. I'm not sure if I'd go again because if I'm in the area, I'd like to try some other places out too. The line took so long in the summer, I'm not sure how convenient it would be for me if there is no online ordering available, and if I have to modify menu items.
