Oda Entertainment was the DJ for my wedding ceremony and reception. First off, Jason Oda was very friendly, professional, punctual, and delivered everything he promised and more. He met up with us prior to the wedding where we talked about songs, equipment, and lighting. It was the first time we met, we were randomly referred to him from another reputable DJ. During that one hour, time flew by because we weren't just having a meeting, we were having fun and getting to know one another. DJ Oda has a large selection of music but before he gets to know your playlist, he wants to get to know your personality. This to me was the selling point for me. I spoke with dozens of DJ's. It's obvious who those guys are who are cheesy and just trying to do the job. There are tons of DJ's who just hit autoplay and do wedding after wedding. DJ Oda really took the time and also gave us the assurance that "everything will be taken care of" ...and it did. Day of the wedding, honestly, I didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to the music and playlists etc. It's hard to think about background music but since my wedding last month, I think about how much effort DJ Oda actually did put into our entertainment. I've been to a handful of weddings where DJ's have too loud of a personality or don't say a thing and ruin the flow. Dj Oda was the PERFECT complement to our wedding, he did just the right amount of announcements, he carried an over joyed amount of enthusiasm, and many of my friends at the end of the wedding wanted Oda's information. I did notice the small things...for example, playing songs with lyrics that were appropriate to the situation, announcing to guests to utilize the photo booth, and encouraging people to sign guestbooks. It wasn't a flood of announcements, but it's those small reminders make him a terrific MC for the evening as well. Also may I commend him for having affordable prices!! Last note: Oda is a freaking honest good guy and he'll tell you what you need and don't need. He won't try to upsell you nor will he try to sneak in extra fees for BS things. He's a person who obviously loves what he does. read more

I agree with Diana C. I was at her wedding and the music was off-da-hook! Everyone had an awesome time, including myself. The music was perfect becuase it s a blend of classiness and modern hip-hop rolled into one. Transitioning from one playlist to another was subtle and from what I remember...everyone danced the night away. read more

Oda Entertainment will turn any occasional event into a memorable and fantastical event. Jason Oda is not only a fantastic DJ with all high-quality technological equipment, but also a terrific emcee (not to mention very down-to-earth and easy to talk to). I have had the pleasure of having him as my DJ for a club's fundraising gala. He provided lightings that sparked up the venue, music that everyone enjoyed (seriously...he offers a wide variety of music that people at any age can enjoy), and a lot of entertainment from his emcee-awesomeness. I highly recommend trusting Jason Oda in making your venue turn into a special event, whether it be a fundraising event, birthday party, or something as personal as a big wedding. He truly does run that extra mile and will honor everything that he promises. read more

We had Jason DJ our wedding in August and have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. My fiance and I were VERY particular about our wedding music (we wanted control over every song played and NO requests! etc.) and Oda was more than happy to accommodate our requests. We initially met up with him to discuss the wedding day and we were so pleased to find out he was not only very professional and organized, but also really personable, friendly and we "clicked" right away! He showed us lighting options that would be an upgrade but was not pushy about trying to up sell anything we did not need or that was out of our budget. He was punctual on the wedding day and for the rehearsal which is so appreciated and important! Finally, I get the impression that he simply loves what he does and that comes through in his work. He truly cared about making sure our wedding day was wonderful. read more

Jason Oda is a great DJ for weddings or special events. He cares about your event and is very detailed oriented with pre-meeting, follow up, and review. His attention to details such as lighting and ability to emcee big events is a plus. He brings value to the service as well. His pricing structure is very fair and delivers a quality product. He has a broad selection of music and his system and lighting options are customized for any size of event. Very personable and has a great personality for weddings. We had our event in Laguna Beach and he was early to the event and was very organized and well dressed for the occasion. I highly recommend. read more

Jason Oda was fantastic. He was very accommodating and was very interested in what we wanted, not what he thought was right. Our reception was so much fun and the best part of the night was when Jason started DJing - this was when the actual party started! He is a long time friend of the family and that helped a lot when picking our DJ. Although he knew our family, i'm sure that he will give the same experience to future clients. He comes totally recommended! read more

Here's a summary of Dj Oda's services: pros: -quick to respond to emails -accommodating in various requests (song additions, uplighting, microphone/sound system changes etc.) -professional & courteous -ceremony setup was perfect and sound was lovely -Good song choices during the reception -everything was taken care of for us day of wedding, worked hard with all vendors, coordinators, and whole wedding team to make it a beautiful, stress-free day! cons: -(biggest one) speakers were not placed outside in the courtyard. The 6 tables that were placed outside could not hear the speeches- they knew people were talking but couldn't make out what they were saying. This was very disappointing. -Introductions were messed up during the grand entrances. Some of the couples were introduced by the wrong name/song and timing was off. Also, some of the blurbs to each couple were not read completely. -According to feedback from guests, they didn't like how some of the dance songs were not played from start to finish, only short clips were played. -Also according to guests, at the end of the party, music was cut off too abruptly and there was no "wind-down" music to signify the end of the party. Overall, DJ Oda is a great guy and despite these issues, I would recommend him to other brides out there. read more

Oda Entertainment did my wedding over the weekend, and I can't say enough about the professionalism and expertise that he can provide for any venue. He was one of the first to arrive to my event and the last to leave. I couldn't have asked for anything more...the day went seamless, and it couldn't have been done without this DJ. Thank you again so much Jason!!! read more

Jason Oda was the DJ at our very small, front yard covid-era wedding. He was more than we could have hoped for, providing just exactly the right vibe for the intimate wedding we had. He was very easy to work with, listened to our requests and executed them, provided his own suggestions and songs. Our guests, all 15 of them, loved his performance and commented on how much they loved the atmosphere he created. Jason was really enthusiastic, stayed late, set up early, and did absolutely everything imaginable to make our day special. We'd recommend him to anyone wanting an excellent DJ, and great person, at their event. read more

Jason did an amazing job as the DJ for our wedding. During our first meeting he was very helpful in detailing the musical selection process while letting us know how accommodating he was to any suggestions we could come up with. We had a lot of questions, and he gave us a ton of options. We ultimately gave him a large list of songs that we wanted to hear, including a custom mix that we used for our first dance. He threw in a good variety of songs himself for the open dancing portion, gauging the mood and keeping everything lively. We received many compliments throughout the night from people who loved what he was playing. Also, as an emcee he has the perfect blend of enthusiasm and professionalism. Our wedding went so much better than we expected and much of it was thanks to Jason. We highly recommend him! read more

This guy is a professional at what he does. He puts his school and his community first before proceeding onto his professional life into music entertainment. He does an absolute great job at swim meets and keeps the kids entertained during a swim meet. I've never seen a swim meet that was so much fun to be at (other than the other swim meets that also play music which is very rare). I recommend him for professional events as he adapts to your style of music and will work with you to make a successful event. read more

Oda DJ'd my wedding and it was amazing! He was so helpful during our first meeting and helped guide us through different ideas for the reception. He was flexible during the day of the reception with last minute changes and additions. The best part, all of my guests loved him! His mixes were great and respected our play/do-not-play lists as well as catered to special requests. highly recommended! read more

DJ Oda made my wedding! Seriously, people are still talking about how much fun they had singing along and dancing to songs at the reception. Jason also did a great job of serving as the MC for the events (bridal party introduction, cake cutting, garter toss, money dance, etc). The uplighting was amazing (you may think you don't need it, but it makes any place look so much cooler). Furthermore, he did a great job of blending my family's style (classic rock) with my husband's family's style (latino music). Everyone had a great time and I do not think there was one person that didn't dance. What I really appreciated was Jason's attentiveness to my requests and the style of my wedding. I didn't want a DJ that was pushy or corny, and Jason was neither. He hit all of our mush have songs and provided an experience beyond my expectations. I sincerely recommend his services and assure that you will not be disappointed read more

We had our wedding in December 2012 with DJ Jason Oda at our reception. We booked Parcel Seafood catering serviced to Anaheim Marriott Hotel and Jason came as a recommended DJ for our reception. It was easy to communicate with him and we mainly did so by email, which was a blessing considering the million other things I had to do for the wedding. He was very accommodating to my requests to play certain music during a short performance at the beginning of the reception and listened to me when I told him that my new mother-in-law wanted him to play Cambodian music. That did not last long, thank goodness, but I appreciated the effort. Everyone had an awesome time and the music was perfect. Don't hesitate to chose this great DJ for your wedding, we could not have chosen a better DJ. Thank you Jason. read more

Jason aka Oda was the DJ for our wedding in July and it was such a pleasure working with him! The company I work for had hired him for several events and I was always impressed with his music selection and his amazing work ethic. I was so excited when he told me he was available for our wedding day. Jason is always the first vendor to arrive and the last vendor to leave. He is extremely organized and has so many great tips for making your day run smoothly. My husband and I were very happy with the consultation we had with Jason; he even drove all the way out to our venue for the consultation! Jason was always very prompt at answering any of my questions via email and even provided song recommendations for the ceremony when we were having a hard time selecting songs. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about him and had a great time dancing through the end of the night to the playlist Jason put together with a few of our requests. He was even able to get some cultural songs that we personally requested. Jason was also a great emcee I might add, he gave our whole day a great flow and helped us keep to our timeline for the day. I would highly recommend Jason for any special occasion or event you are hosting! He plays excellent music and he is a real professional with a wonderful personality. Thank you so much Oda for making our day so much fun and for all of your help and guidance! read more

We decided to use DJ Oda immediately after meeting him. He was very friendly and we could tell right away that he was the DJ for us. He responds quickly to emails and is extremely accommodating. He also has very reasonable pricing! The day of the wedding he was great! We got the ceremony package from him as well and he did an amazing job. Everything at the reception went perfectly, the grand entrance was great, the lighting was amazing, he played all the right songs to keep everyone dancing all night long. It was definitely a great experience, he did everything we asked for and more. I would highly recommend DJ Oda!! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Jason Oda! We used Oda Entertainment for our wedding in November 2012 and all our guests and family members complimented on the music. Everyone had a great time and the music he played for us was perfect! We wanted to have a list of songs for him to play but we ran out of time and Jason assured that his specialty is to feel the crowd and play the proper music. He played a verity of music that night and he kept everyone dancing on the dance floor! If you want to have a nice, fun and awesome DJ, use Oda Entertainment! read more

I used DJ Oda for my wedding this past December, and he's as good as it gets for a DJ. From the first in person meeting to run through at the venue, he was always helpful and accommodating in the music and light recommendations. He has a great variety of music and played everything on the requested list and didn't for those on the do not play list. I would highly recommend his services for your next big event! read more
