When I was looking for our DJ, I clearly had no idea what I was doing or who I was looking for. I can hardly remember the names of the songs or artists I like. Amongst a couple of other local DJ's in the Fullerton area, I happened to come across Huey by chance. Huey was just the first one who wanted to meet in person rather than through FaceTime or Teams like the other DJs I've already spoken to. Meeting for the first time in person, Huey was incredibly personable and professional. He really wanted to get to know the interests my fiancé and I had, and we spent the first 15-20 minutes of our conversation sharing about our own personal lives. It helped me feel like this wasn't going to just be a quick signing of a contract between two independent parties. On the actual day, Huey captured the exact vibes of what we were looking for at each key point of the wedding day. His recommendations for songs and tracks for each of our friends and family at each key moment matched perfectly, and they enhanced the vibes we wanted to catch throughout the entire night. We know we especially made it difficult for Huey, as we were a couple who were quite indecisive, and Huey used his professional judgement to fill in many of the gaps we left him. The best part, it felt like Huey was part of our wedding. It didn't completely feel like someone who was just there to get paid. Huey was so cheery and everyone's hype man. He could sense how interactive and inviting our bridal party was, and he would continually hype everyone up and keep the vibes going all night. Don't even get me started about the dance floor. The floor was packed all night. Fist pumping, jumping, dancing, screaming- the dance floor was alive the entire night. Huey kept the energy alive throughout the night, and everyone had a blast. I keep hearing from our wedding coordinator that we should just plan another wedding and do it all over again. This was all to say, if you're worried about the music, Huey is the guy you go to. If you know what you want, that's good, but really trust Huey to provide and enhance what you are looking for. He's a professional who truly knows what he's doing, and he only wants you to enjoy your big day. ps. 1 last piece of advice: please consider paying extra for the uplighting! You will not regret it at all; your guests will constantly ask you who the DJ is throughout the entire night! F&J 9.26.26

Finding a fun, interactive, professional DJ was definitely one of our must haves for our wedding…read morereception! GrooveBox Entertainment (DJ Kurtis) definitely fit the bill. Luckily, I was lucky to see him in action at one of my friend's wedding so I knew how dynamic Kurtis was with the audience :) Our experience from start to finish was impeccable. When I first contacted GrooveBox, I got a prompt response from Karen. She was friendly, informative and really cared about making sure she provided excellent customer service. I liked the fact that this wasn't a huge company where they may treat customers as just a number. Karen provided an outline of services that were available and asked what we were looking for. She then connected my fiancé (now my hubby) and I to DJ Kurtis. We met with Kurtis so we could share our vision and also asked him his recommendations (what worked well at weddings). He knew all the fun traditional wedding activities (i.e. money dance for a Filipino wedding and added humor/fun to the garter toss). Kurtis was cool, fit perfectly for our age group (30's and our parents age) plus he even MC'd the event, which was awesome! He also brought an assistant with him on the day of the reception to help run things smoothly. They had a large selection of song choices and even if it wasn't on the list, they tried to get the song to make us happy. My husband and I were very pleased and GrooveBox Entertainment and would definitely recommend them (thanks for making our wedding so memorable & AWESOME)!

We got a call from bot Kaveer and Kurtis apologizes profusely that unfortunately Kurits was already booked on our wedding date unbeknownst to Kurits. Kaveer went over our package that we worked out with Kurtis and told us he had another great DJ in mind, Mark. We were a little hesitate of the whole situation but went ahead and spoke with Mark. I have nothing to say but amazing things about our experience with Larry Barnett!…read more Larry was our DJ for our recent wedding on January 24th. He came highly recommended to us due to his experience and professionalism. Prior to our wedding, we scheduled two in-person meetings with Larry. During our first meeting, he asked us a variety of questions to get a feel for our taste in music and style for the wedding. Larry encouraged us to just tell him all of our favorite songs, music artists, albums, etc. He used that information to put together a great playlist. After our first meeting, he gave us a few worksheets to complete before our second meeting so he could gather details ahead of time about the logistics of our wedding. During our second meeting, we hashed out all of the nitty gritty details that involved music for the wedding. He encouraged us to let our creativity flow and personalize our wedding through our music choices. There were a few obscure songs that I wanted played at our wedding, and Larry purchased all of those songs to make sure they would be available during our wedding. On the day of the wedding, he created such a fun vibe and got everyone dancing! The dance floor was popping all night, and so many people told us how impressed they were with Larry. 10/10 would recommend Larry! He is fun, enthusiastic, professional, and just a really cool person.

Where do I even start with DJ Adrian?…read more When we first booked our venue at the Life Arts Center in Riverside (also a great venue for events!), we had initially signed on with a different DJ who we believed was committed to working our wedding. Unfortunately, it later became clear that they weren't being fully transparent about their commitments with the venue, their LLC, and pricing. Thankfully, our coordinator at the Life Arts Center stepped in, handled the situation, and connected us with DJ Adrian -- and I'm so glad she did. From the start, DJ Adrian made communication a priority. Whether it was through text, email, or phone calls, he consistently checked in and made sure he understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. We worked together on the itinerary, song timing, and overall flow of the evening, and the whole process felt effortless. On the day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly, even with a few last-minute details. DJ Adrian kept the energy up all night and even surprised us with a serenade midway through the evening, which was an awesome and memorable moment. He truly helped turn our wedding night into something beyond memorable, and we can't thank him enough for the effort, professionalism, and care he put into making our day special. If you're looking for a DJ who communicates well, listens to what you want, and knows how to create a great atmosphere, we highly recommend DJ Adrian. Book him -- you won't regret it!
