Cannot recommend RedShoe and DJ Manny enough! From our first call, we knew Manny would be able to take our vision and run with it. We had been to several weddings before we started planning ours, and through experience we realized there is a wide range of wedding DJs - we had been to a wedding where the DJ was just hitting play on a Spotify playlist (and the dance floor was empty all night), and we had been to a wedding where it felt like we were at our own private club (and the dance floor was packed all night and we still talk about it). We are HUGE wedding dance floor people, and keeping our dance floor going was a huge priority for us. We wanted to start off playing songs our parents and relatives would recognize and enjoy, and then transition into songs that would keep our friends on the dance floor all night. Not only did Manny play the songs that our parents would recognize and enjoy, he found versions that were also amazing dance floor songs, and he had the perfect touch for when to transition into the next song. Several times throughout the night I had someone say to me that the transition was SICK. We had some pretty random asks - like a dance floor version of One Less Lonely Girl - and he nailed it. Manny could not have been a better DJ for the dance floor. It's important to note that he was also an incredible MC. He hit every single queue perfectly and he was on top of timing for every speech. I did end up cutting all of our special songs personally because I'm a control freak and I'm musically inclined, but I have full faith that he would've done a great job, and he was super efficient in providng the raw mp4s for me. He was super easy to communicate with both before the wedding and the day of, and even my guests went out of their way to compliment his music choice and the volume of the music (they said it was the perfect volume to enjoy the music and still be able to hold a conversation for the cocktail hour). About a month before our wedding, we met with Manny and he walked us through the entire day, along with everything that he would be doing during that time. He was careful to make sure he was pronouncing all of our names (first and last) correctly, and said every name perfectly on the day of. Meeting with him helped us understand the details of the day and allowed me to ask any and all questions that I had. Manny was super patient with us and enthusiastic about planning for our special day. We worked with RedShoe to originally have a wedding on 4/18/20, but the world had other plans. RedShoe was patient and understanding and easygoing with the whole "let's reschedule because of this global pandemic thing". I was very glad because there were horror stories out there of other vendors cancelling and keeping deposits or their businesses folding and all of that. They just honored our deposit and said we'll work with you when you reschedule, it was a relief. We had then rescheduled for April 2021, but in December had to cancel that because there were still tons of restrictions and it didn't make sense. Once again, RedShoe honored our deposit. We told them that we just wanted to pivot to having the wedding at a house at an undetermined time and date and they were happy to go along. Well, we finally had the wedding party and they honored the original deposit and all the venue and date changes. Oh and most importantly, Rich did a great job! I don't think I even noticed him coming in and setting up, but he must have at some point. He worked with us to coordinate all the walk out / first dance songs and we had a fun conversation about our musical tastes so he could get the vibe right. He killed it on the party playlist and i received a bunch of compliments on his work. The tracks he made were smooth and the sound quality was awesome - the music, everything during the reception was perfect.
