OUTSTANDING! Five marks doesn't do JP justice - 10/10. There are many superlatives to describe JP and his work. JP made our wedding spectacular! Hands down amazing. My new wife and I have really high standards and wanted someone to bring an experience that transcended the conventional. We were not disappointed. In fact, we were blessed with someone who connected with us and our guests in many levels, and someone who crafted an unforgettable experience. I wouldn't even classify JP in the same league as other wedding or event entertainers. Many of the guests who are involved in managing and staging big events were equally impressed by his magical talents and his calm demeanor. So if you have a special occasion coming up on the calendar, give JP a call. read more

Look no further yall. Hands down, our FAVORITE DJ ever. We had the honor of having JP dj our wedding in Long Beach this May, and we had the TIME. OF. OUR. LIVES. He made the planning process so easy for my husband and I. JP was quick to answer phone calls, texts, and emails regarding details about our big day, which- as a bride- was greatly appreciated! He played our songs that we had requested, was a great MC, and our guests absolutely loved him. I was able to dance with my friends the whole night- non. stop. We decide to play the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight at our wedding- which had us worried (crowd control, keeping our guests entertained, wanting people to stay for dancing)- but JP made planning the whole transition sooooo easy, and honestly put my mind at ease bc I had been so stressed out about it all. We've seen JP work at other weddings/events- and he never fails to amaze us with his talent. The crowds always enjoy his music/mixes! Whatever you want- he delivers! JP is very professional. On time. Honest. And FUN! We were very happy with the outcome of it all. Thank you DJ JP! We love you! read more

JP did a wonderful job of DJing my wedding last month! He provided music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I was worried about how we would transition from site to site, but he did everything seamlessly. Also, I was worried about the music being too quite or not clear at during the ceremony, but this sounded great as well. My husband and I really didn't give him too much direction to go off of. We just told him we like pop and some country and he was able to come up with the perfect mix that kept our party going! The music he selected was not cheesy 'wedding music' at all and everyone danced the whole night. It was wonderful! My husband and I will always remember the songs he played at our wedding. Thank you, JP! read more

JP was a great wedding DJ. As an emcee, he's articulate and charming. As a DJ he played the music that was fitting for the mood. He didn't just "play music". His attention to detail is evident in his edits, his music choices and timing. We hired him to play during our ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner and dance party afterward. He nailed all of those. Thanks JP! read more

So we have been to a few weddings where DJP has been the DJ. I can honestly say some of the best dancing I've ever done has been at those weddings. The weddings have included a huge variety of settings: Filipino weddings, younger people, older people, country cowboy types of weddings, and I've had nothing but great times. He reads the crowds well and feeds off of their energy. He knows how to play the right song at the key moments. Every bride and groom at those weddings has always had great things and compliments for him. I would agree. He is early, prompt, professional and a nice guy. I recommend him to anyone who wants nonstop dancing and a good time! Naz read more

I found JP through Yelp - and I am so glad I did! Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but as soon as we met JP we felt like we had been friends forever and knew he was going to be perfect for the job! Being from Sweden, a wedding is slightly different than here - we are used to partying until the break of dawn. Looking for venues and vendors who were flexible and open to new ways of doing things was definitely a challenge but JP went out of his way to make things work - he was so helpful leading up to the wedding, helping us with rentals since he knew we were super busy with friends and family in town. It was also a challenge mixing mine and my husbands music preferences (country & house...) but we both ended up having our favorite songs played and everyone loved it! On top of being an amazing DJ he went out of his way and helped out during the dinner itself when the caterer messed up and didn't put wineglasses on the tables! Since we had many guests from different countries and that never even met before, it was important to us that it was a casual and relaxed environment where the wedding itself was more of a fun party. And it sure was! The dance floor was full pretty much the whole time (until people started jumping in the pool...) and many of our guests told us it was the best and most fun wedding they had ever been to. Of course the party didn't stop there, JP helped us out with equipment to keep the after party going until the wee hours. I am smiling just thinking about how much fun we had! JP really made a huge difference for us and if we ever throw another party (maybe in Sweden the next time?) we will definitely hire him again! read more

DJP is a fantastic DJ. We hired him for our wedding in Spring 2011, and he played a huge part in making our wedding day AMAZING. I was one of those brides that knew exactly what she wanted, wanted it that way, etc--but it was obvious to my husband and I that DJP would do whatever he could to make our day perfect. Every time I contacted him about my ever-changing song lists, he always responded promptly. He was professional from start to finish, and might I add--always well-dressed. :) We had so much fun at our cocktail hour and wedding reception, and it was in huge part due to DJP. He knew exactly what to play at the right time, so that the night flowed without a hitch. He was also a fantastic MC. We had a small wedding, but he really got the crowd to get up and celebrate. I'd highly recommend DJP's services for anyone looking for a highly talented and professional DJ. Thanks DJP! read more

We had the pleasure of having J.P. DJ for our wedding 2 weeks ago in Palm Springs and we couldn't be happier with his mix and emcee skills! DJ is such an important job in a wedding as this person will make announcements and thread the event together. From my search of DJs, how this DJ presents himself was just as important as his music skills. We were so lucky to have found J.P., who not only has such a talent in music but is also the most personable and presentable emcee. The last thing you want at your wedding is a cheesy or over-enthusiastic DJ that embarrasses you. We checked out his website for sample mixes and they were all right up our alley. I'm quite picky with music and can smell the first sign of a stale mix. He seems very versatile in different styles of music, but what we gravitated to were the ones with a genuine and whimsical style, the exact opposite of stuffy, traditional and predictable wedding songs. Everyone has different music taste, what's important is if your DJ has the chops to craft an experience you will enjoy. And J.P. did a superb job for us. There's such a variety of artists in the mix to keep things interesting but it's a hit after hit for us. I like EVERY song in the mix and so did our guests. Another couple at our wedding immediately booked J.P. for their upcoming wedding. I highly recommend J.P. and hope to have the chance of working with him again! read more

If you're looking for a wedding DJ, please save your time and look no further! JP was simply absolutely amazing. In addition to being very responsive, reliable, and talented in his craft, he was just a great and caring guy. Even from our first email exchange he was extremely personable and left me feeling complete trust in him. That continued to flow throughout the wedding planning process. He was extremely adaptable, taking song changes hours before the wedding started. He also threw the absolute best dance party that I've ever been to, keeping people on the dance floor the entire time and not wanting the night to end. People have continued to rave weeks after about how amazing the dancing was. He was also our MC and did a fantastic job interacting with the crowd and was just overall such a great addition to our wedding. With all of the details that come along with planning weddings, take some stress off your shoulders and let JP take care of things for ya. Trust us! JP is an outstanding wedding DJ! He did our wedding in Palm Springs over Memorial day and knocked it out of the park. He handled the audio for the ceremony (and provided us with the recording which is awesome), then moved over to the dinner music, and finally blew it out with the dancing. He was easy to work with from the beginning, played the type of music we asked for, was professional, sounded great (good engineering), and left us not worrying about anything he was doing. We would select JP again without hesitation and could not recommend him enough for weddings. read more

JP was delightful to work with from start to finish! He was super responsive when we first reached out to him, made the payment a snap, and of course was a great DJ for our wedding. He even sent us the custom mix he had made for cocktail hour afterward. He handled pre-ceremony, processional, recessional & cocktail hour very seamlessly. I kept saying "oh I love this song!" all night, and caught several people singing along even though there wasn't a ton of dancing in the beginning. We had a relaxed Sunday wedding, and not a huge dancing crowd, but JP helped us end the night with some good old fashioned dancing tunes that went with the feel of the evening (even though we hadn't discussed this part much at all). He's great at making decisions on the fly, and the music always matched the mood which was so nice! One of our best vendor decisions, hands down. There's a reason he has a 5-star rating no matter where you look! I never worried about anything regarding music or MCing. He made us feel very comfortable from the start and that was much appreciated when planning a wedding. read more

If you're looking for a wedding DJ, stop looking and book JP immediately. JP just did my wedding on 6/6 and it is no exaggeration to say that I will never look at wedding DJs the same ever again. JP plays a man's game and makes every other wedding DJ I've ever seen look like a drunk uncle shuffling through an Ipod. There are so many buffoons in the wedding DJ industry, it seemed as though it would be an insurmountable task to find the perfect DJ. I did not want an out of touch goober wearing a fedora lugging around a music catalog populated with top-40 hits from three years ago. I also did not want a spray-tanned frat-boy in a snapback hat and oversized headphones telling me that everyone loves EDM. If these things sound horrible to you as well and you are looking for someone to make your wedding unforgettable, hire JP. I could go on forever with reasons why you should hire JP but here are a few very important ones: -Professionalism: I contacted a lot of wedding DJs during the planning phase of my wedding and one common thread between them all was a staggering lack of professionalism manifested through sluggish communication, unexplained price fluctuations, and a general unwillingness to take input on music. You will not find any of these things with JP. If you are planning a wedding and you go with JP, I promise you will not come across an easier person to work with. -Musical Sensibility: I love music and it was very important to me to find a DJ that was going to create the musical experience I was looking for. JP took input and produced an evening of music that I can only describe as perfect. If you're looking for a sloppy, forty-year-old white dude that is going to play 'shout' and say something stupid into the microphone every third song, then JP is certainly not for you. -Stress Reliever: In most wedding situations, you need your DJ to handle the flow of the wedding and make sure things happen when and how they are supposed to. From ceremony music, to introducing people and announcing housekeeping issues along the way. JP took care of everything for us and managed the flow of our wedding in a way that allowed us to step back and just have fun. JP has a great sense of how things are supposed to happen and a personal touch that you don't often see in the industry. I could go on forever. JP is the man and I have no doubt he will be killing weddings for as long as he wishes to continue in the industry. The morning after our wedding, my wife and I were already trying to think of the next event that we could book JP for. Hire JP and you will not be disappointed. read more

DJ JP McLeod was nothing short of perfect as the DJ for our wedding in San Diego. If you need an incredible DJ who was able to handle complicated ceremonies and "tear the roof off" for the reception - hire DJ JP McLeod. I chose JP McLeod based off of his positive reviews and awesome mixes on his website. And man, I'm so happy that I did. Our wedding had Indian and Filipino ceremonies, and we relied on JP to play music throughout the key points of each ceremony. In in the Indian ceremony, one of my uncles decided to randomly play music off a cell phone, and JP was able to maneuver that awkward transition without any issues. He flawlessly handled a very difficult task in DJ'ing both ceremonies. His cocktail hour mix was also fantastic. For the dinner and reception, I generally gave JP an idea of what we were looking for and he handled the rest. It was evident in our conversations that JP McLeod has an extensive knowledge of many musical genres. He took my basic requests and played Hip-Hop, Pop, Oldie's, Rock, Indian jams, and much more in an incredible set that led guests to twirl their shirts in the air in celebration. If that is not evidence of a great DJ, I do not know what is. Most importantly, JP is a professional when it comes to customer service. Considering how complicated our wedding DJ request was, I was a bit nervous. He took the time to tour the venue in advance and talk with me for hours to make sure we were comfortable with everything. JP was extremely helpful, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile for his clients. JP McLeod was responsible for music for over 7 hours, and he knocked it out of the park for the ceremonies, cocktail hour, and reception. Our guests raved to us about the music, and I could not recommend anyone any higher than I do JP McCleod. Do yourself a favor, and hire him immediately if you need a DJ. read more

Honestly, JP was just such a pleasure to work with all the way around. I am pretty Type-A and emailed him about a million times and he was SO PATIENT I can't even begin to tell you. He listened to what I wanted and just made it happen in an even better way than I could have imagined. Not only that, but he just freakin rocked the party! It was so important to us that people have an amazing time on the dance floor and they DID. He was so great at reading the crowd and so many people complimented us on the music that night. He was so amazing at getting "us" that people actually asked us if we gave him a song-by-song playlist! Ha! No, that was all him!! His response time was great (have I mentioned I am Type-A?) which was huge for me as well. He was such a crucial part of an amazing night I will never forget!! There was so much dancing FUN to be had! Also, he was just a pleasure - there on time, super nice to everyone, just really great all around. I can't say enough fabulous things about him! read more

We searched all over for a DJ that met all the qualities that we wanted in our modern wedding this past July 17th, 2014. We are very glad we found JP because he was everything that we were looking for. He took the time to wake up super early in Africa (where he was living at the time) and Skype chat for the first meeting. He was very kind, classy, and easy to work with. I don't think a single wedding guest left the celebration early; everyone happily danced and partied until the event shut down... what more could one possibly hope for during an extremely fun wedding? :) People of all ages had a wonderful time. JP did a fantastic job. Book him for your next event and you'll be so glad you did. Thanks so much for helping us celebrate one of the best days ever, JP! read more

JP was a fantastic DJ at our wedding! Not only did he get everyone on the dance floor, he did an amazing job emcee'ing the night, making sure that all of our big moments were announced to our guests e.g. first dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss. He was so personable and easy to work with. All of our guests commented on "how great our DJ was" after the wedding was over. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled DJ for their wedding day! read more

JP was a great DJ during our wedding. He figured out how to work around our complicated outdoor setup, helped when we needed to rearrange our schedule, and was a fantastic emcee during the whole event. I was really impressed at how professional, attentive, and fun he was! He even made sure to grab us drinks! I think JP was the best find for my wedding. He not only made the event fun, he also made sure everything was running smoothly. I can't say enough nice things about him! read more

Finding the right DJ for our wedding was one of the most daunting tasks we faced when planning our the big day. Although all elements of a wedding are important, the DJ is nearly completely responsible for the "fun" part of the night. When we met JP, though, we knew he was the man for the job. JP is a rock star! He helped us negotiate with our vendors, went far beyond his scope as a DJ to provide additional services, and, most importantly, provided the best entertainment we could have asked for. Even though we are huge music fans, we gave him little direction for music choices, since we were caught-up in so many other details. But JP nailed it! Our photographer actually had to ask us to stop dancing to his music during cocktail hour so she could get some still shots of the wedding party. JP also took our subtle queues during our first dance and the father-daughter dance so we weren't stranded on the dance floor. These weren't things we talked about before the wedding, but JP was such a professional, he was able to pick up on them. We've heard nothing but praise for JP's work from our guets (especially our end of the night pool party), and we would recommend him hands-down (almost insistently) to anyone searching for a DJ. read more

JP and the gang are one of the best in LA. As a wedding planner, they are ALWAYS at the top of my list to recommend to clients. A few things I look for in a good DJ are A. Are they responsive to emails? Yes. B. Are they on time, accommodating, helpful, a good team player on the day of? Yes. C. Can they spin some of the best beats that the couple loves and keep a party going? Yes. Alfredo is an associate DJ and he is amazing, accommodating, and affordable. I am very please each time I work with JP + Alfredo. No doubt. I highly recommend this company to be the best party people for your wedding or party. You will be thrilled with your decision. read more

JP was a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was seamless, and JP was a huge part of that. He worked with our other vendors and was always very prompt to reply to our emails. He helped us make a custom dinner playlist and dancing playlist - and was even great handling requests from guests. People were commenting throughout the evening on how good the music was - people were on the dance floor all evening! We would definitely hire JP again for an event and would reccommend him for yours! read more

I couldn't recommend him enough! We were worried that we hadn't given him enough direction, and in the crazy weeks leading up to the wedding we had failed to set up a meeting with him to discuss the song list. We should not have worried. He nailed it! Total pro! He took all our somewhat disparate ideas and created a wonderful night. No drama, just awesome music! He cued everything seamlessly, he edited our first dance songs perfectly (without us even having to ask), emceed graciously, and lead one really awesome dance party. All our guests of all ages, commented on the great music. We are so happy we found him! read more

The perfect wedding dj. It can be daunting looking for a dj, especially when your venue recommends djs with outdated websites and navigation errors. Searching online, it was refreshing to come across JP's well organized website. He was prompt on reply, easy to correspond with and delightful to meet in person. He takes the time to get to know you as a couple and find out what your style is. To us, that was imperative that he get our point of view. One of the most important things that we wanted him to do was emcee impromptu wedding toasts during dinner. JP handled it beautifully, never an awkward pause- he kept things moving right along- but in a way that didn't call attention to him. You hope for the best, but I never imagined JP would have so many people dancing - and for hours! We can't express our thanks enough. And I might say, he's rather well-dressed. read more

I have hired DJP so many times I can't even count them anymore. He does a great job tailoring to your needs. He has been my go to DJ for many years. I started using him in High School and have used him for every significant party since then. He has DJ'ed huge college parties, New Year's eve and even my wedding. He will tailor to what you want and is not shy about requests. As a bonus he is an excellent MC. He also does great improvisation when needed. When we wanted our grandparents to take a shot at the wedding, what other song would come on than "shots!". He has a way of bringing any group of people together through music and making the party go as long as you want and longer. Just make sure you are ready for a good time when you book his services. read more

JP was an amazing DJ for our wedding! He was on point with the music and I kept getting compliments on the great music he played from our guests. You'll love him!!! read more

JP was one of the best vendors we had at our wedding. Music was a high priority for me, so I was very picky in choosing the DJ for my wedding day. Although I had never seen him at any previous weddings before I booked him, I was able to see through a few email exchanges that we shared similar interests in music. Although I sent him a long selection of songs to play during our wedding, he was able to choose the best ones and add a few of his own, and create a playlist that was truly amazing. I had so many guests comment about how great he was, and many asked us for the wedding playlist afterwards. He was in charge of playing the pre-ceremony music, the song selections for the ceremony, the cocktail party and then the reception. He got the whole crowd going wild on the dance floor, and it was such a fun dance party! He was also our MC, and did a great job with all of the announcements. JP really did help make our wedding day the best day ever. read more

JP was the DJ at my wedding last weekend and I can't say enough good things about him. From the minute we met to discuss my event I knew he was awesome. At the end of our meeting he gave me a big hug. Gotta say, I love hugs. He stepped up at the ceremony when my brother chickened out and decided he couldn't play the guitar in front of all my guest to entertain them while they waited for me to show up. When my husband and I showed up to the reception area after pictures he had already gotten all the name of the people in my bridal party and had them prepped to walk in. When we lined up for dinner JP was the first in line to hand my husband and I plates so we would go first. After dinner I danced my ass off for 5 hours straight. His music selection was amazing and kept the masses dancing all night. At the end of the night everyone was screaming one more song for a minute straight. JP picked the most amazing song to end the night with. I would recommend him to everyone I know, just so we can hang out again. He was like one of the guest. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. read more

We were SO happy with our decision to use DJP for our wedding!! He kept the party moving and people dancing all night long. My wife and I got married last month in Redlands, California at the Speakeasy on State and JP had come recommended by our photographers. I was a little unsure at first due to the simple fact that I had never heard him at an event previously, but would most definitely recommend anyone to consider him for any type of event you're doing. He's extremely professional and knows how to read the crowd to keep the party alive. We had a great time at our wedding, along with all of our guests, and believe that's in big part because of JP. Thanks again for making our BIG day exactly what we hoped for! read more

I recently attended a wedding where this "dj" performed. I've been to a lot of weddings. Not exactly my favorite dj/mc.
