We hired DJ Taraneh for our wedding at a remote location in California, and he exceeded our expectations in every way. From the very beginning, he was professional, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. Leading up to the wedding, he checked in with us several times to make sure everything was on track and helped us create a solid timeline to keep the event flowing smoothly and the energy high throughout the night. On the wedding day, he arrived on time, fully prepared, and executed everything flawlessly. One thing we really appreciated was his honesty and fair pricing. Unlike several other Iranian DJs we contacted, he didn't nickel-and-dime us because of our remote venue location. His pricing was reasonable, and the level of service he provided was exceptional. Beyond being a great DJ, he's simply a wonderful person--friendly, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in making your event successful. His music selection was fantastic, blending both Persian and English songs seamlessly and keeping guests of all ages on the dance floor. If you're looking for a professional, experienced, reliable DJ who knows how to keep a party going, we highly recommend DJ Taraneh. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. read more

We used DJ Taraneh for our wedding and he was incredible. Prior to the wedding, he was very responsive and easy to work with. We went over wedding timelines and layout, and he gave us great advice. We gave him song requests that he followed as well as a breakdown of how much Persian, American, etc. music we wanted. On the day of, he did a fantastic job (all of us, our guests included, loved him!). He transitioned between songs seamlessly, he set up lights that looked wonderful, and also did a great job as an MC. More than anything, he was a hype man! He got all the guests involved and excited to dance, and kept the energy alive! We highly highly recommend him! read more

One of the great experience during wedding planning and execution. He made the whole process seamless and helped in any way he could. People loved him and hyped up the crowd during both the ceremony and reception. Edvin is also has a very kind personality and is super approachable read more

Short: Outstanding job by DJ Taraneh for our July 2022 wedding. He brought great energy, kept the atmosphere lively and fun, and transformed our ballroom with beautiful up-lighting. DJ Taraneh seamlessly transitioned through our timeline for the night and MC'ed each event masterfully. We also hired his percussionist who was a big hit. Long: We were looking for DJs who could play a mix of Persian and American hits. We did some research, watched a lot of videos and reached out to 4 people. DJ Taraneh was by far the easiest to talk to. He has a super welcoming vibe and was just overall a very kind human being. He set up a telephone call, explained everything that came with his wedding package, and answered all of our questions. He walked us through options like moving headlights, monograms, and gave us options for live musicians. Once we settled on what we wanted, it was all smooth sailing from there. He had us fill out a very comprehensive word doc and the rest was history. On the wedding day, I didn't have to think twice about the DJ which is exactly what you want from your vendors. He didn't really have any follow up with us after we submitted the word doc but turns out he didn't need to because the music was perfect for each event and he had our guests dancing all night! All in all we are extremely happy to have found and chosen DJ Taraneh. Both his Persian music and American music were on point. Highly recommend for your next wedding/event! read more

Best DJ Ever!! We had an amazing experience at our wedding. Our guests danced the night away. We had SO many compliments about DJ and the percussionist, Sean! We were running a little late on our timeline and DJ Taraneh kept everything running smoothly and got everyone dancing while awaiting our grand entrance. We had a Persian American wedding and he played a good mix of both types of music. Edvin has years of experience and great energy! I first saw DJ Taraneh at my cousin's wedding in 2014 and it was great to then have him play a big part at our 2021 wedding. I loved his set up, sound system, and lights!! Highly recommend!!! read more

DJ Taraneh is simply the best at what he does! He was our DJ at our wedding in late July and choosing him was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. He's very approachable and makes every effort to collaborate with his clients before the event to tend to their needs and requests. He went above and beyond for my wife and I in so many ways during our wedding, and our guests had a wonderful time as a result. So many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music and that they danced the whole night away. My wife and I both haven't danced that much in the past, but he really did a great job in keeping the party going that it was hard to get off the dance floor! If you're thinking about a DJ or considering options, there is no choice that's better than DJ Taraneh. He plays a large variety of music and will coordinate with you beforehand to make sure your needs are met! read more

Hands down the best wedding DJ in the LA/OC area! From the beginning of our conversations, Edvin was kind, professional and respectful. He's very organized, and gives you many documents with song recommendations as well as a music planner where you can list your favorite songs (English, Farsi, Spanish, French, or any other language), AND he actually plays them on your special night!!! He's open to your suggestions and discusses the event with you in detail ahead of time to prepare and ensure that the event runs as smoothly as possible! We highly recommend him! read more

After months of searching for a Persian DJ we were able to find DJ Taraneh for our America/Persian wedding. He had great communication throughout the process and worked with us to ensure we got the music we wanted on our wedding day including sending him a playlist of a few of our favorite songs for genres like rock and rap. He emails you a timeline to fill in with songs for the different parts of the night which was a huge help and greatly appreciated by our wedding coordinator. The dance floor was not empty for a single minute the entire night and he was not afraid to sing and dance with the guests. He made the night amazing and so memorable. We will definitely be hiring him again for future events. read more

DJ Taraneh is the best! Great sound and light system and great vibe and energy on the mic. We had a blast on our wedding with DJ Taraneh. Highly recommended read more

From the beginning of my wedding planning process my dad kept telling me "you have to have the best entertainment." He would say "entertainment can make or break your wedding." I knew the pressure was on, but also didn't have the biggest budget either. A friend of mine recommended DJ Taraneh since she had seen his work at a different wedding and said he knows how to get the party started and keep the guests entertained. Since my dad and I had never actually seen him live we weren't sure just what we were going to get, but now we can say without a doubt that hiring DJ Taraneh (Edwin) was one of the best investments of our wedding!! We still have guests telling us "wow, your DJ was awesome! He played the best music." I'm half Mexican and half Persian and my husband is full Persian. We wanted to make sure our guests had a good mix of all music-persian, Latin, american, etc. and Edwin did that and more!! Our guests were always dancing!! We also hired a percussionist, saxophone player, and violinist with Edwin who were all outstanding!! If you're still undecided about what DJ to go with at your wedding, you are in awesome hands with DJ Taraneh!! He knows how to make your wedding a party and make your night the best and most fun night of your life!! Thank you so much, Edwin! read more

DJ Taraneh - The coolest, nicest, and most fun DJ for any occasion!! - DJs Near Me

I'm pretty late posting this review, but I really want everyone to know how amazing he is. The best decision I made was having him DJ my Halloween party. I had heard him at other parties and fell in love with his energy. He really knew how to get a party going, no matter what crowd he had in front of him. His gift of keeping everyone on the dance floor is what made me want to have him at my party. He was able to accommodate all my needs. He was very easy to talk to and he listened to all my requests. The planning process was very easy. He was professional and kept in constant contact with me at all times. He was able to provide me with a contract right away, which put me at ease. I've had bad experiences in the past where I had a different DJ cancel on me last minute, but Edwin "DJ Taraneh" and his contract was able to comfort me enough to know I wouldn't have any problems with him. The night of my party he arrived earlier than expected. He set up right away and even asked if I needed help with anything. He had a smile on his face the entire time. He was very approachable and a lot of my friends kept asking me for his information. His playlists contain the most up to date music as well as some of the classics. I highly recommend DJ Taraneh to be the source of entertainment for any event, as he made my party one of the most memorable events I've held and kept all my guests on the dance floor the entire evening. Because of him, everyone had an absolute blast! Thank you again!!! read more

I don't know where to begin. Almost a year after my engagement party, people are STILL bringing up how incredible our DJ was. DJ Taraneh made our entire party. From start to finish, the dance floor was packed. He really listened to our ideas and type of music we want played. He made sure to respect our "do not play" and "must play" lists. He even made a custom design for our names to project onto the wall. Seriously do not hesitate to book DJ Taraneh. He goes above and beyond to keep the party lively. It was an absolute pleasure working with DJ Taraneh. read more

Literally THE BEST DJ in the world!!! We just got married this part weekend and he was so incredible. The transitions between songs was so flawless and the mix of Persian to American music was perfection. He really was a delight to work with as well. We asked him to come out into the crowd if he felt like it was needed. This happened once or twice, and our guests would not stop talking about how cool that was. He made us feel so comfortable and calm the weeks before even up to the day of the wedding. I have to say, I almost didn't even send an email for a quote because I thought he would be over budget, but he was actually right in our budget! Don't be afraid to reach out to him. Totally worth it! So professional and kind. I highly recommend! read more

We used DJ Taraneh for our wedding: 200+ people. He provided music for the reception and the ceremony. There was a live musician including a live violinist and percussionist provided by Edwin. From the very beginning to the very end, he was professional, courteous, and on time! Throughout our wedding, he provided a great deal of positive energy. He was engaging and was able to read the crowd and provide the appropriate music. He also provided the lighting for our wedding. His combination of music and lighting took our wedding to the next level. We received nothing but the most positive comments from all our guests. His music selection is unbelievable. He has a keen sense for reading the crowd. He's full of energy. He is easy to get along with and talk to. He even takes request for songs. We would highly recommend him to anyone. Edwin killed it at our engagement party this past weekend! I'm Persian and my fiancé is American, he did an amazing job incorporating both Iranian and American genres of music. Highly recommend DJ Taraneh! He is a talented, professional, and responsive DJ. He played a great mix of persian-american at my wedding that was on September 2017, and did an amazing job of keeping the guests engaged, excited, and entertained. Absolutely amazing!! We couldn't have asked for more! My husband and I had a Persian/Jewish/American wedding and DJ Taraneh was not only a great addition but he made sure the party ran smoothly the entire night., playing a great mix of Persian and American music and throwing in a wonderful horrah. We met with him with a million questions and his precessional demeanor 100% put us at ease. He listened to us and made some great recommendations. Also the drummer is amazing - our friends, Persian and American, had only wonderful things to say about him and DJ Taraneh. Finally his suggestion of a pre dinner dance party was spot on, all our guests were on the dance floor having a great time! Our friends are still talking about it! read more

DJ Taraneh is by far the greatest DJ/performer/artist I have ever worked with. Let me start out by saying that I am a very picky person....and I wanted my 350+ person wedding to be perfect and one of the most important things for me was to have it be super fun- and DJ Taraneh was able to do that for me! Everyone had a blast and danced until 2am (ceremony started at 5:30pm and we went straight to cocktail and reception- so it was not an easy task to keep that many people hyped up, dancing, and entertained for that long)- he really kept all the energy levels high. He came with a percussionist, violinist, and sax player as well. Before booking DJ Taraneh, I contemplated booking/spoke with a few really well known bands and persian singers- other than being ridiculously pricey- they all kind of gave me the feeling that they thought they were more important than the bride and the groom...but I don't want to get into that. Back to why DJ Taraneh is beyond amazing. He is so easy to work with, polite, and really put me at ease. He sent me this whole checklist a few months before my wedding for things he wanted to know about the wedding (like will the Mic be open or closed, what song choices for all of the big stuff, etc.) as well as a sample timeline- I don't know of any other "DJ" that does that- but DJ Taraneh is really really much more than a DJ, he's a true artist that has really perfected his craft. There was never a pause or a dull moment- the transitions were amazing! Everyone was dancing the whole time- and it really is not easy pleasing a 350 person crowd- that's 70% persian and 30% other- but he really did just that. I would recommend him to everyone and I hope to be able to work with again at other celebrations! Thank you, thank you!!! read more

DJ Taraneh is a talented DJ. From planning to execution, Edwin was a great service to make sure our wedding and reception went off without a hitch. Ceremony Music: Edwin took the time to assist in finding the right music (harder that you think) and even integrated some songs together perfectly for what we were looking for. Reception: Edwin has a lot of options available, he's done this many times and has perfected the lighting, sound and song mixes which made the day/evening perfect. So many folks commented on how great the DJ is. Edwin made sure all transitions from one part of the program to the next were seamless and done right. **He's able to read the audience and change things up based on what he sees the guests are enjoying and did an excellent job as our MC. I would highly recommend working with Edwin. read more

Edwin was great to work with. He had a difficult task of DJ and MCing a Filipino/Persian wedding. My family wanted persian music to be played, but he also had to allow the Filipino/American family and friends to feel comfortable and play a good mix and American and persian music. He did a great job. He was able to read the crowd so well, he had everyone up and dancing the whole night! He offered an explaintion of some persian music and dancing to get everyone involved. He had some of the american/filipino/spanish/indians guests up and dancing to persian music. They all had so much fun and loved that the DJ made them all feel included. He really was able to merge the different cultures for us. We met with him in person when we were looking for a DJ and he made us both feel comfortable we just had to hire him. He was great to work with. He gave us a document to fill out with must have songs and names of the bridal party (and trust me our bridal party was very ethnically diverse). He made sure he was able to pronounce everyone's name perfectly and did everything we wanted and more. I knew after planning everything else, i didn't want a DJ that I had to tell him what to play (other than first dance etc). I asked him to just read the crowd and keep people dancing and that is exactly what he did. Friends and family have all asked for his number and have said how well he did all night. He even offered me some timeline suggestions that made the night flow so much better than i originally planned. He was great to work with and I plan to hire him again if we do another big even in the future. read more

Where do I start with Dj Taraneh. First, he's such a gentlemen and honestly such a nice guy to work with. Our wedding was everything that I could have ever imagined, and DJ Taraneh truly made our dreams come to life. It was really important to me that the music at our wedding would be amazing, as my entire family loves to dance. WE HAD A BLAST!!! thank you, thank you, thank you Edwin jaan! You will not regret your decision to hire DJ Taraneh. He delivered - and it was perfection. Persian bride. American groom. 200 guests of all ages and backgrounds. He provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - which were in three different locations. The sound quality was great during each segment of our evening. His announcements were appropriate, good-humored, well-timed, and not overbearing. And, our dance floor was packed. There was a balance of Persian and Western/American songs, and his ability to read the crowd and play specific songs when best was superb. It wasn't just the music though that made our experience with Edwin so great. It was his caring and commitment for making our day special. Leading up to the wedding, he patiently answered not only my questions, but also my parents. He is an involved DJ - he will give input and let you know (without being pushy) what works based on his experience (e.g. advice regarding the best location of the dance floor or DJ table and/or advice on how to schedule speeches, dinner, dancing so as to maximize the fun and flow of the evening). In sum - he is a fantastic choice. He will bring energy, compassion, and excitement, making the dance party a memorable part of your wedding day. read more

Edwin aka DJ Taraneh was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING at our wedding. Initially I was having a hard time finding a DJ who could accommodate to my husband and his friends & family who are American, but also mine who are Persian. When I found DJ Taraneh I instantly felt a huge weight off my shoulder. He took the time to get a clear idea of how I imagined my wedding night to be, then gave me suggestions which turned out GREAT at the end. We gave him just a hand full of our favorite songs and he ran with it & KILLED IT!!! Almost every single guest at our wedding said it was the best and the most fun wedding they had ever gone to. DJ Taraneh had the crowed going for the entire night. People were still on the dance floor till the very last minute. I couldn't have asked for anything better. "Edwin jan, I am forever grateful for your fantastic work. Thank you for helping us celebrate such a magical night." :) read more

DJ Taraneh was recommended to us highly from multiple sources, and he did not disappoint! He was the DJ at our engagement party, and he pumped up the crowd like you would not believe. Before we hired him I didn't know what to expect, and I had reservations about a Persian DJ. Our crowd was younger and I wanted to make sure the DJ played a "cool" mix of songs. DJ Taraneh delivered -- he is not your typical Persian DJ. Every song was amazing, and he mixed them perfectly. His transitions were flawless. Everyone made comments about how great the DJ was.
