We were seated for 45 minutes before we even got our drinks. I went to the restroom. As I was leaving, a young lady came in with a long apron on. I asked her 3 times if she was a cook. She never answered. I went out and spoke with a waitress who told me that all the cooks were men. We waited together and she was a cook And she seemed unconcerned. On another yelp review, came here and had low pot boils. Great price and amazing taste, I had number 3 but subbed clams for more shrimp. My dad had just shrimp and sausage, he had just cajun, i went with cajun and lemon pepper. Neither of us had ever had this before and being from Chicago its not common there... i would recommend also subbing some potatoes for more corn, it was delicious and i wished i had more even though i was so full!!! Had lunch at this spot on Saturday. Our waitress, Jaime, was not only extremely professional, she was just a joy to have serve us. She was quick to take our order, quick to return our drink orders, quick to ensure our glasses never went empty, and gave us a few laughing moments with her wit and sense of humor. This was the place my husband and I selected for dinner on a strangers recommendation on the street lol. We started with the raw oysters which we usually love. This places oysters had a weird flavor and we were afraid to finish them for fear of getting sick. I got a Louisiana boil and hubby got snow crab and shrimp. We stopped in for a meal after a basketball game at Armstrong State. The owners have spared no expense in giving this place a modern maritime decor. From the tile floors to the wood ship feel and the lighting, this place has a beautiful interior. The service was excellent! While my order was a take out, my server offered suggestions to give me what I wanted since it was not on the menu. He brought waters to us while we waited and that was a nice gesture. My fried shrimp and oyster basket was very good. The batter was light and seasoned well. I only wish I had two hush puppies to finish off my meal. Our drinks did not get refilled and half the time she was no were to be found. We ordered a steak and did not receive a steak knife or even a butter knife. Heck we received no knife at all! When our server finally did come the steak had gotten cold and she placed the knife directly on the table. She didn't hand it to us or even place it on a napkin. Like really! After that we were done.
