So the other short Lady with brown hair and glasses tried my other arm and she stuck it just as rough. Here I am 6 days later with a bruise the size of a football and im unable to get a good nights rest without waking up in awful pains and numbness in my hand. They really need a staff change here. I will never return. No wonder why the lines are so short these days at this location.

In that time I did get about $1200 total, which went to a pandemic emergency fund. They'll occasionally send postcards out that bump up your donation rate. 1st visit consists of a series of 84 questions, blood pressure check, physical and the actual donation process. Took about 4 hours. The 2nd & subsequent visits took about an hour and a half, as a new donor. They had a $100 promo rate for your first 3 donations. Update: August 2021: walked in at 330 to donate, check in, wait 30 minutes only for them to tell me they don't have enough time to do a physical for me. I had a $40 bonus coupon that I then could not use. Time wasted: 1 hour (Not including drive time) Update 2: Sept 2021: walked in at 215pm, checked in. Two workers leave for lunch. Waited 45 minutes for them to tell me I wasn't in the new computer system, and that it wasn't migrated, also that there were 3 people needing physicals ahead of me and they couldn't give me a physical. Time wasted: 1.20 hours. (Not including drive time) Absolutely not worth it to go to this center. Not saying Biolife is better or that CSL is better, I'm just saying that Grifols is terreiblllleeeee.

The staff is great, and they do a wonderful job assisting you with the paperwork and information gathering. A standard red blood donation takes about 8 minutes, Apheresis (platelets) takes about an hour. They validate your parking (downtown) and provide free cookies and juice after donations. During your time there they usually have the TV or a movie on, so its really relaxing. Each month they have a different promotion where if you donate or even ATTEMPT to donate they give out shirts, caps, starbucks gift cards, isaac's coupons, senator's tickets, etc. Walk-ins or appointments are welcome. I feel really good that Im helping someone too. Their motto is: "Make sharing life a part of yours"

Over the years they've made tons of improvements to the facility, including adding many flat screen TVs, free WiFi, and portable DVD players with a decent selection of movies They still have plenty of snacks, including Sweet Street's donation (usually a loaf of lemon or poppy cake).

They are attentive and perfectly willing to talk you through any nervousness and many of them have great senses of humor which really helps to pass the time.
