Mushroom and onion soup

Service was amazing. Food was great. Best nigiri we have had in a while! Even the dumplings were amazing. Hands down a new favorite when we are in town.

OMG roll

Good food. Not a lot to look at from the outside but the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Was surprised to find this jewel in a town this size.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. It was great. The food was awesome. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back.

It has been a long time since I have been able to eat Ocko's. I am so glad that we made the drive to Stuttgart. This isn't the traditional Hibachi restaurant. Here you eat at tables instead of the grill. The food is still great though. I had the scallops and some sushi, my wife had the filet. I will definitely come back.

Gotta be my favorite spot when I come to town. Amazing sushi and their hibachi plates are delicious. The service is always on point and the manager is so friendly and inviting.

Ichiban Japaneese Steakhouse - Shrimp Tempura Roll and Shrimp Fried Rice

The food was great. It was really delicious. The Japanese New York Strip and Jumbo Shrimp was…read morecooked just right. It came with fried rice cooked with egg in it. It also had vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms and onions tossed about which really made for a delicious combination. It's located in a shopping center close to Kroger and Lowes. The shopping center also had 3 other restaurants in it. One was Mexican, one was Chinese and one was this Japanese restaurant that we decided to eat at. The 4th was a Chinese/Japanese American all rolled into one restaurant. Beijing Chinese restaurant is right next to this Japanese restaurant we decided to eat at. Parking: There's plenty of parking as it is in a shopping center with a bunch of other stores and restaurants. There's also a mall in the area. The customer service: First of all, I called on phone to find out about prices and menu items. It was hard to get anything out of her because she wasn't very talkative or knowledgeable. I decided to eat here anyway since for $11.99 you can get a Japanese steak, rice, vegetables, soup and a salad. I thought that was a pretty good deal. She took our orders for drinks and gave us our menus right when we got there. She let our drinks which was sweet tea become empty on half of us. She also did not check back on us. She mostly stood behind the counter talking to another co Worker. However, we did get refills by holding up our empty cups. Therefore, I they get 4 Stars. Other menu items: They have appetizers, several soups and salads like miso soup, stir fried noodles, fried rice of course, chicken tempura bento, hibachi dinners like salmon, shrimp, steak and chicken, combination dinners, sushi rolls such as tuna, potato, and Philadelphia. Other special sushi rolls include; crab, volcano, spicy girl, pink lady, sunset, crunch, snow mountain, ichiban, rainbow, lion king, Godzilla, and even a dragon fly roll. They also have kids meals, desserts, and side orders like mushrooms and carrots. In summary, I will come back because of the great food and prices. However, the waitresses need more training on watching to make sure their customers don't run out of drinks. It is the simple truth: All great restaurants check back on their customers and give great service by just refilling their drinks and cooking delicious food -It's that easy.

Overall, food is average. The prices are low and reasonable and the food was prepared really fast…read more I was disappointed in their limited selection of sushi.

I ordered sashimi, unagi don, and fried soft shell crab. I picked it up about an hour later and the…read moresashimi wasn't ready so I waited another 7 or so minutes while they rushed around to prepare and package my order. The octopus sashimi was not tender. The white tuna was not particularly buttery as it should have been if it was escolar (not sure what it was really). The eel was deliciously soft and had the traditional sweet unagi sauce atop. The fried soft shell crab for $7.95 was a whole crab fried into about four pieces. It was not as tender as I've had elsewhere but good for Searcy. The unagi don was in good portion with about seven slices of eel atop a bed of somewhat dry rice. It came with some pickled ginger, a wee bit of seaweed salad, and some artificial wasabi. The eel was good.

I was quite unimpressed with this place. It lacked ambiance, character and warmth. The service…read morewas robotic, and the food barely met standards.... I've gotta vent here..... as a former Sushi chef in Japan, this bastardization of Sushi has gone too far, and this place is just another contributor.... I see that people's favorites here are the Volcano Roll and other localized concoctions... Here's a hint: If you're seeing 'deep fried', 'sirachi', 'cream cheese' or a multitude of other American ingredients in your sushi roll, it's not Sushi. Sure, you enjoy it, and so do I sometimes, but let's stop calling it Sushi. Fair enough? Let's call them 'Fat Rolls' or "Saucy Snakes' or something that describes them better. OK, off my soapbox. This place is un-inspiring....

I got the filet mignon steak and shrimp. The shrimp was a definite 5 stars. I thought the steak was going to be a big piece of steak. However, it was cut up in small pieces. Still good though. My rice was good and they brought a good portion to me but it got kind of cold before I could eat all of it. My waiter didn't bring us our salad and soup which came with our meal. I had to ask for it. Whether he forgot it or didn't want to bring it not - I will never know. Anyway, it was kind of expensive to eat here. Bring at least $30 per person if you come here. You will enjoy it like I did. Yes, I recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant was set up to handle small to large groups of people. Now the food. I can't review everything because our party was so big I didn't get feedback on all the dishes. The lobster ragoon was the best thing I had. The filling was creamy and the lobster gave a nice flavor compared to the crab that the dish is generally made with. The miso soup had a different flavor that I couldn't quite place. I was not a fan. I tried 2 sushi rolls: sweet potato and shrimp tempura. Both had a brown colored sauce on them that was similar to eel sauce which I usually like but this sauce was not good. The steak that the hubs had was overcooked and tough. The side salad was really good. The rice was savory and fresh. When we eat out in Mississippi, I don't think I would choose Yamato again. It just wasn't that good. The service is what saved the star rating.
