I only hope they still get the reviews because I need to share about the specialness of this family owned restaurant. When hubs and I were stationed in Beaufort, it was our special date spot. To the extent the owner always recognized us from my special man's call ahead to arrange special flowers at the table, etc, which they always accommodated. So cozy and personal and we just adored the food and reasonable prices. My favorite was the Chilean sea bass with Sam rod sauce- which I must tell you has set the bar with every Thai restaurant we've eaten at ever-and won. We moved home to Missouri and set a mission to find a Thai place that met the same bar for taste, price, quality, service, and yes-customer love. We have yet to find it. Each visit back to Beaufort has a visit to Thai Indeed at the top of the list of things to do. My heart breaks I can't include that anymore. Beaufort, you lost with the Chocolate Tree and you've lost again with Thai Indeed. So sad. Seriously, planned trips back there just so we could go to this restaurant!

I am so sorry that for our limited time in Beaufort, we opted for this restaurant, based on its good reviews. This is not a flattering review, and I give it two stars only because I myself tend to dismiss one-star reviews as coming from people with an axe to grind. We try to support small, local businesses, but Ocha Noodle Cafe was a waste of our money, and a wasted opportunity in Beaufort to have a satisfying meal-- so maybe I do have an axe to grind given my disappointment, and even anger about how far two of the four dishes were so disliked to the point of no one wanting to eat them for next-day leftovers. Of the four entrees, only one was good-- the flat noodles with broccoli. The calamari was okay. The larb was awful-- it was very salty and the umami flavor was so strong that it crossed the border from flavorful to smelling as though it had started to turn, although it didn't taste off. However, once we were aware of the off-putting pungent odor, all of us lost the desire to eat it. Most of it was thrown out. The Singapore noodles (see pic) were awful and nothing at all like the way Singapore noodles should be. This dish seemed to be made from cut up bits of spaghetti, which has been overcooked-- the noodles were soft and mushy, in a salty, greasy, and slimy sauce. Most of it was thrown out. The waiter, who smiled only when directly facing us, got the orders correct, and didn't let the water glasses go dry.

The restaurant is in a small strip mall, next to a barbershop. We'd driven by several times and seen a steady flow of customers. Friends said it was hot or miss as far as quality. Here to say that today was a "hit"--so much so that we've craved it all this week since eating there. We'll definitely go back!

Sweet and sour chicken was definitely not sweet and sour... it was bone dry with zero sauce. Phone service was horrific when we called. Told us to "bring it back up, we'll only fix it if it's wrong." Just a "you ordered it incorrectly". Pure deflection when I am 100% sure that nothing was ordered incorrectly. Didn't even give us fortune cookies. I wish them bad fortune and to go out of business. Horrific, we will obviously not be returning and I will be spreading the word to anyone I know in Beaufort to avoid this place at all costs.

Our server started off on a bad note-- very slow to get things started, waiting several minutes before we were approached at all. My brother from Florida was standing in. My Marine had begged for ribs on Family Day and it was my job to make that happen! When I called to order from ToGo Dish, I had specific requests to make my Marine happy including to enclose a note from us congratulating her :) I asked "Krista" how she manages with that many people, to ensure the food would be in good shape? We knew we were ordering ribs from Big Joe's but Krista steered us away from other food that wouldn't be at their best. Krista explained that she texts the contact person (brother) on island 15 minutes before arrival to update when she will be there for pick-up. Using this method the Ribs were as fresh as having been served to your table and the report was they were delicious! Here's where it goes from a 10 experience to off the charts - shortly after my brother picked up the food, Krista TEXTED me a PICTURE of my brother and my Marine!!!! I could not believe it!
