A wide array of women's and men's clothing, accessories, sunglasses, skate and surf gear, and gifts! There is even some local artists who have their own jewelry line. So lovely! The backyard patio is absolutely dreamy! It reminds me of a Southern California patio. There is beer on tap, and wine... yes you read that correctly! There is even a vintage Simpsons arcade game. The owners are so welcoming and friendly and really make a point to make you feel welcome! Largest surf shop in the world at 52,000 square feet of cool, rad, and gnarly, awesome things (shirts, jewelry, swim wear, accessories, beauty products, home decor, surf boards, rash guards, sunglasses, etc). If you can walk out without buying a shirt, keychain or sticker, I would either be impressed, or think something was wrong with you. Free parking (time limit) in the back of the shop. Long arse lines at all the registers, but that's a testament to how popular this place is. My husband who is an (ex-)surfer, totally loved this shop. He said visiting this store was one of the highlights of the trip.

I've wanted to make it to some of the other Ron Jon shops since then but haven't been near one. I don't know the best way to describe it. It's like a superstore for beachwear, keychains, hats, sunglasses, shirts, surfboards, art, trinkets, shoes, and a bunch of other random things. It's so much fun to walk around this place and see what you can find. I still have a souvenir magnet from my first visit. This time I found a shirt I had to have! Anytime I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop in here. If you're in the Cocoa Beach area, this is definitely a must-visit!

We had an AMAZING time with sobe surf, my kids and I did a group private lesson at cocoa beach…read more They were flexible to work with after we had to change our plans because our flight got cancelled. (oh colorado and its snow :( ) We got a new date and time and location planned. and it worked out really well. None of us had ever surfed before and honestly we have not spent that much time at the ocean. We have super tiny and petite yet tall, tall and muscly and then normal in our group They were able to accomodate us all as far as wet suits went as well. Our teacher was fantastic! And this ended up being all of our absolute favorite thing that we did while in Florida. We tried to get back in for another lesson but in Miami on the last couple of days of our trip and unfortunately for us they were all booked up. Highly recommend!!!! And dont forget to bring a little cash to tip your teacher/instructor at the end of your lesson. It is a service job :)

I had previously been to SoBe Surf Shop with a friend after we took a SUP lesson by the shop's owner, Girard, after she purchased her board from him. When she purchased her board, it included a free lesson and she was able to bring a friend. I was so glad she let me go along because even though we had both been paddling for several months, we both knew our technique could use some work and Girard's instruction definitely helped! Our lesson took place a couple of miles from his shop at the Brevard Vererans Memorial in a little Cove just behind the memorial. The lesson itself was great - there were only three of us so after giving us a brief lesson, Girard took the time to watch our paddle technique and make suggestions for adjustments so we were able to practice and immediately get constructive feedback. Girard was very patient and clear in his instruction and by the end of our session I was able to fix the issues with my paddle technique. The shop itself isn't anything fancy, but it serves its purpose. He has a number of different stand up paddleboards in stock, and carries high quality brands ar various price points so you should be able to find one that is perfect for you. My friend and I had both done quite a bit of research on the type of board we wanted and what features were important to us. Girard is incredibly knowledgeable and great at explaining the differences in the boards and how they affect it's use. He carries boards that are perfect for touring, racing and yoga. He is not a pushy salesman at all, which I loved. He also carries different accessories like leashes, paddles, waterproof cases, car racks, apparel, and even ukeleles!! After my friend purchased her SUP, I was pretty sure I wanted the exact same one and Girard was great answering any of my questions either by phone call or text messages. He was always quick to respond. Once I was ready to purchase my board, he let me put a deposit down (using my credit card) on the SUP I wanted. I had also talked to him about my need for a soft rack pack for my car and he ordered one to keep in the shop, but said there was no pressure to purchase it. My board package came with a leash, carbon fiber paddle, and cover bag. I also ended up purchasing the soft rack pack for my car. Girard was so helpful, teaching me how to install the racks and load my board safely and securely. I got home via highway roads with no concerns or issues about the safety of my board on my car while driving 70mph! The guy I spoke with (tall, skinny dude) had that smartass vibe from the start. When I asked how a used Channel Islands Neckbeard (he wanted to sell me) compared to Happy Everyday, his answer was that there are now as many surfboards as marijuana strains. Funny line, but not helpful, and honestly a weird comparison since people actually choose specific strains for real reasons. Then came the rant about volume. He said it couldn't be measured, which was funny because these days every core guy or old-school surfer seems to have something personal against the word "volume". It's almost like volume broke their hearts, everyone's got a speech about it but no one gives a straight answer. Before leaving, I asked about deposits on boards, and after acting like they only want customers who can drop a thousand bucks on the spot, he admitted they might take 50%. At least that's something. Catalyst will be fine with $100 though. And that's the problem here. Shops like this complain that people don't support local surf shops or local shapers, but when you show up ready to spend money, this is the treatment you get. Then they act surprised when sales go to the bigger brands. If you want people to support local, you've got to give them a reason to.

I ordered a wing on Mar 2, it was delivered to my condo complex on Mar 6 and the product was missing from inside. I pursued the issue with my mailroom as well as the local post office and both entities said to work with the company because the package should have been insured so that a claim could be submitted. Unfortunately the package was not insured. As a result I am out $800+. I tried working with Jonathan and Jennifer and neither of them acknowledged the issue but rather blamed my mailroom stating that it was signed for and as a result they washed their hands of the issue. The shop came highly recommended from my buddies at Patrick AFB and unfortunately their level of customer service was not up to par. This could have been prevented by applying insurance onto the package and allowing the USPS claim process to work itself out. I will not be ordering from this company again and will warn the Wing Foiling community here in Puerto Rico of the same. Lucas C.

What sets this place apart and makes it stand out, however, is that every single item in the store is marked with a yellow price tag that has an incredibly high price listed, then a second orange price tag that shows a "sale price". It's actually quite funny - Almost as if the manager went to some sales and marketing conference where they taught that trick, and rather than having one or two racks of items that were marked with sale prices like that, he's marked every friggin' item in the store. Sweatshirts, for instance, were marked with a price of $28, then a sale sticker that showed the "sale price" of $12.50.

Honestly I respect this place. I asked the man at the counter if they had somewhere to change and also asked about the return or exchange policy because my swimsuit was one size, he said we could change in the fitting room and i could try on the swimsuit before buying to make sure . So I paid for my husband's shorts then he changed into them and I changed into my swimsuit to make sure it fit and brought the tag to the register to pay. After I paid, this lady comes running at me asking me where my receipt is and saying I didn't pay. I told her I already paid for the items and she could ask the man at the register. Then my husband comes out of the dressing room and she's screaming that we didn't pay for those and trying to snatch the receipts which I had on top of my wallet out of my hands. I told her to not touch me and to ask the man at the register because I dropped one of my receipts while she was attacking me. She grabbed my arm and tried to yank me back to take my receipts out of my hand and after she finally asked the man at the register if we paid and he said yes, she ran into the back office. I called the police and couldn't do anything because I live in Miami and will not come all the way back for that. Horrible staff, too expensive. My husband was racially profiled because he's Hispanic and has face tattoos.
