This is my second time there. We went to two other stores shopping for a bikini before going in. They have a large selection here; the other stores had only about a third of the options they had here. The ladies were warm & friendly. I paid more than what I would typically pay for a bikini, but considering this was a special occasion that was fine. As a local everyone knows this place is a joke. The employees will follow you around and assume you're stealing. The prices are sky high, I mean seriously, you can get the same stuff at ron jons for cheaper. They pray on tourists and locals. Would not recommend this place. read more

I have bought several boards from the Longboard House and have always gotten great service. I just picked up my new Aipa Sting yesterday and I just love to look at it. It Hasn't seen salt yet, but it's coming soon. I just have to rest up after a crazy day. Sometimes when you're 70 you have to slow down in order to be your best. I love just going to the Longboard house. There is one thing I am not happy about is that the fins were separate and three fins for the stinger set up cost $50 on top of the $1100 for the board. I haven't been surfing much over the last few years so I get that things have changed but I have never bought a board that didn't come with fins, but it's okay. I didn't see that coming though and my budget really took a hit. I think they should have made that clear, but they probably think I should have known, and that's probably true. At any rate the board is home after months of layaway. There is a sign that says they have a 90 day layaway, but they worked with me because I kept paying a pretty fair amount every month. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth it. I will give you an example about the kind of people that work there. I don't drive so my transportation is an ebike. I watched some videos and built a side rack for my bike. I had almost made it home when I cought a curb that snapped when the rear rack caught a curb and moved it to a point is was dragging some. I tried to move it back in place and snapped the pipe. I was adding some support bungees when this guy came up and asked if I needed help. He said his wife worked there and had seen me leave with the 10' board. She and her husband grabbed the board, put it in their truck and took it safely to my house. I rode the rest of the way on the bike and met them a few minutes later. I think that makes a fine statement about the overall feeling of the people that work there. They are good, fine, kind people and that makes the extra dollars worth it. My only regret is that didn't thank them enough for getting the board home safe, so here's to you wonderful people. I really can't thank you enough. I had a long rough several days leading up to picking the board up and I was worn out. You saved me at a critical time. Blessings to you both. They charge above manufacturers suggested retail prices on tons of products..... surfboards, fins, everything. For example at ANY other shop a certain Torq brand board i drove 40 minutes to check out, is $515, at this shop $599. The fins I was going to get, $100 at any other shop.... $120 here. And they won't match competitors prices or charge you normal retail even if you ask. I'd hate the know the mark-up on paddleboards or longboards.. probably $250 over competitors. Go down the street to catalyst... even Ron jons is better than this place. I feel bad for people who don't know any better and get lured into paying way over MSRP read more

Located at the intersection of 5th Ave and Hwy A1A in Indiatlantic, sits one of my favorite surf shops (and stores in general). So here we go~ unlike so many reviews on here, I love this store! First it's a surf shop which deals heavily with the surfing community, in other words surfboards and apparel. So keeping that in mind, it's a definite 5 star rating as they have the knowledge, experience, service, inventory, etc. to back it up. Then I really like the layout and organization of this store, so much neatly packed into one store~ mostly nice, higher end stuff! Also, plenty of very friendly and helpful employees working here too. The only downside is on the weekends; it gets quite crowded, and parking in the back is very minimal. read more

Purchased an overpriced longboard. The salesman was weird- Jetemy was rude and obnoxious He was a poor salesman. They did have the board I wanted but at a very high price. The fins Jeremy tried to sell me were overpriced and not appropriate for this board. I was ridiculed by staff for some of my questions and request. Place has poor surf board knowledge and are only out to make a sale. Needless to say I will not return too this business. It's a shame, this use to be a good surf shop. It's definitely one of the original surf shops in the area with a perfectly situated corner spot right on prime oceanfront Indialantic. When it comes to surfing in Florida, this area has the most consistent swell making it frequently visited and favorited by many. There's loads of awesome shirts, beautiful boards with varied lengths and thicknesses. The sandal section is super solid because they carry plenty of well-made leather sandals perfect for maximum comfort and utility. There's a section for everyone with plenty of belts and accessories spread throughout. They have the best prices and tons of selection making it easier to browse throughout the store. There's always a helpful employee close by if you have any questions. I ended up finding a super cool surfer belt with a beer opener for my meatpie which he put on immediately after. The women's section has plenty of beautiful knitted pieces worth scoping out when in the area. read more

Searching for the right board is tough and can be expensive. I walked into Longboard House on Saturday and explained what I was looking for. Without hesitation Randy (i think that is right) walked me straight to a used board they had. No upsell to the most expensive board. No BS. Just good solid advice. Returned to buy the board a little later and also talked with Seth. Both were a great help. Surfed that day in choppy shoulder high surf and they were exactly right...love that board and am purchasing another. Kudos for great advice and great service. I'll be back. read more

Being an avid surfer I am always looking for the one shop that keeps me coming back. Surfers are very partial to there one main shop. So when ever I am headed down to Sebastian Inlet, I make it a point to stop in. The staff is very in the know when it comes to the sport. I can also attest for this, as the manager is the old shop manager of Hot Wax Surf Shop in NC, which was my local shop. They have boards from beginner boards to high performance to ones that are so nice they will never leave your wall. Longboard house does stick to the name as if you are in the market for a longboard this is where to go. They carry all the right shapes and shapers as well. They have a great section for clothing and accessories. There price point is average as if it was cheaper than the rest I would have given it 5 stars. If you are looking for a shop where you can walk in, tell them what you are looking for, and feel that you got exactly what you wanted and were paying for, then this is the spot. THIS IS NOT MY STORE! My friend insisted on taking me to this store because she thinks that I am bougie but I am not. This store was actually very stuffy and I just couldn't breathe here. If you need a surf board, wax or related equipment, this is your store. I wanted some really cool tees for the family but I wanted something with bold graphics that really represented Melbourne Beach or tees with clever messages that make me laugh. This was not the store for either. I could certainly understand how someone would feel very uncomfortable in this store as it is heavily staffed and you just feel like soldiers are stationed at every corner. It was weird. The store where I eventually purchased my items had a cool and youthful vibe. The tees and clothing options were very colorful, bold and vibrant! There was great music in the background and it was just the type of place that made you want to linger. This was not a bad shop, it just had a more conservative vibe. They do carry great resort pieces, sunglasses, beach jewelry, footwear and other accessories. So perhaps this is your store. read more

We love shopping local and my son enjoys this shop for both skate and surf needs. He frequents LBH often and usually makes purchases. Although the prices are a little higher, we enjoy supporting our local businesses. I struggle with the fact that they are very obvious about watching you shop. I assume the store must have high losses due to theft, but maybe make it a little less obvious by treating everyone with suspicion? It is difficult to shop and enjoy browsing when you are blatantly being followed and watched. Any time I touch merchandise, I feel guilty despite fully intending on paying for anything we take out the door. Perhaps investing in a camera system where you can closely watch from the register area would be helpful. We visited this morning and had TWO employees basically shop with me. They didn't even pretend to be doing other things. Just stood right there fiddling with the racks while I waited for my son who was in the dressing room. It was awkward and uncomfortable. We put everything back on the racks and left. I'm sorry this business struggles with theft, but there are other more discrete and effective ways to handle that than by awkwardly lurking next to customers while they shop. read more

I felt judged and targeted. I've shopped here in prior visits to Indialantic and always found great gifts, a little over priced but high quality. So I went back this year and browsed, found a few things I wanted but walked there from the hotel a mile away and didn't want to carry it back. So the next day my mom and I go back. We walk in and they immediately take my shopping bag from another store but not my moms bag. Difference? I have purple hair, piercings and tattoos. We left a minute later without buying anything. If you buy something here and it doesn't fit when you put it on or you decide once you see it on you dont like it or you decide for any number of other reasons you want to return it for a refund remember you can NOT GET A REFUND. I bought a blouse and took it home and once in the light and before even trying it on decided the color and design wasn't right for me. So I took it back the next day and was refused a refund on my charge card. STORE CREDIT ONLY. I have shopped hundreds of places and have never had this happen. Disputed on my credit card. No matter! I will never shop there again and neither will several others I have called to inform. The notice is posted near the cash registered but I didn't see it as the is store jammed full of merchandise plus who reads all of the stupid signs in a store. This place is part surf shop part clothing store and is split into two -- one side is all women's clothing and accessories while the other side is all men's clothing, surf boards, and accessories. What I appreciated were the high quality brands available and a good assortment of fall clothing but what I didn't appreciate were the prices or the service. I felt like the gal behind the counter had a bit of attitude. Upon entering, she asked me to place my iced coffee on the counter (which is completely understandable, and I accept that request from any shop owner or employee), but the manner in which she asked felt really threatening and condescending as if she was speaking to a child. So, right off the bat, I didn't feel welcome. It's not what she said; it's how she said it. As I started to browse the clothing, I felt like I was being followed. With each turn around a display of clothing, she was there. At one point, I politely said, "I'd like to look at those purses right there on the other side of you" as she practically blocked my way. The store itself is quite sizable, so it was really peculiar that she needed to be so close to me. Did she think I looked shady? Was there something about me or my husband that concerned her? We'll never know, but it was strange. Ultimately, I ended up purchasing a cute top and long cardigan sweater that I would never have purchased (back at home) if I wasn't on a short holiday. When I travel, I tend to give myself a bit of a higher clothing budget, which is necessary if you plan to purchase anything here. Would I visit them again? Yeah, probably...but I wouldn't dare risk receiving a demeaning tone from the young lady behind the counter, and wouldn't step anywhere near with a beverage in hand in the future! read more

This is our family's favorite surf shop. My in laws live down the street so we visit from mia Miami often. We always hit up longboard house on our way to the beach. Whether if it's to pick up some surf wax or a new board or just some fun jewelry or stickers. We always find something here and my husband and father in law really enjoy rapping with the guys on the board side. They can be there for hours talking surf talk. Everyone is really friendly. Went in store with wife, 11 year old son and 5 year old daughter and felt like staff hovered over us like we were going to steal something. We may have been wearing beach clothes, but we're a pretty clean-cut family. My daughter was trying on some nice bracelets and Sue came all the way from counter to ask me not to let her touch the fancy jewelry....like we were in Tiffany's or something. Maybe I would have bought her something? We bought a couple hundred dollars worth of merchandise, but next time we're in town we'll skip this place. They have a great selection on everything! Their selection is not only big, but also great. They have the cutest clothes as well as sickest boards. One of the guys working near the boards is super nice and took the time to order my boyfriend a bike rack he needed and bring it to the store for him. I would have given 5 stars except for as a woman, when I shop it's always alone while my boyfriend looks at surf boards. So I find it really annoying when an employee is constantly down my back asking if I need assistance. People will ask for you if assistance is needed. I know it's an attempt at good customer service, but it's too much and made me not want to shop anymore and instead go look at boards with my boyfriend. read more

Cashier was ill, probably contagious. It was a significant amount of money spent and she was clearly too ill to make checkout smooth. We went to this place yesterday afternoon and it had the most boards I have ever seen in my life. They had good prices and the most modern boards available on the planet. The customer service was phenomenal. The staff were so knowledgeable they even knew what ppass was which is not surprising. I highly recommend that you shop there for every birthday and holiday.
