Best surf shop in Brevard County, no questions asked. They take care of their customers like family, whether it's a vacationer's first time or local's routine shopping. Very knowledgeable, kind, patient and their used board rack has some absolute gems at super good prices; I can never go in without checking the used rack and occasionally making an impulse purchase. Go to longboard house if you're looking for longboards, SUPs or mid-length boards but Catalyst should definitely be your go-to stop for surf gear and hard goods; especially shortboard gear. read more

Gotta love FL surf shops where the employees cant help and are way too cool. I offered my ID so the gal could verify my name with my card and she literally asked me "whats that?" .. Been in the shop 3 times now. Came in with low expectations...core surf shops aren't know for their service. Bought a Lost board and a soft board for my son as well as some accessories. Have really enjoyed the huge selection of boards and the great selection of surf accessories. If you are a tourist looking for rentals or soft tops that works, otherwise this is a real surf shop catering to everything a surfer needs (except waves). Have really enjoyed the surf story chit chat while there as well. Catalyst is everything needed for a surfer and good service to boot.. Ill be back. read more

Place is OK. I rented a board for a few days. The staff was kind of standoffish and prickish. Maybe they were having bad days when I came in or it's extremely possible this place really only wants "locals". Either way the board selection seemed pretty good (for purchase) and they had some merch. My only gripe is the employees I encountered kinda sucked. read more

I went into the surf shop to try and trade a very nice board in for credit. As I walked out the door to get the board my girlfriend who was inside heard them laughing and calling me names. When I came back in I was talked down to and the two men working acted as if they were better than everyone in the store. Great store. Horrible staff read more

The wife needed new sunglasses for our trip. This place was locally owned, and rated already on Yelp so we stopped by. Cool dudes working. A handful of local surfers/skaters were hanging about the store conversing with the staff, reading a surfing magazine. It's about as legit as you could get. Plenty of decent merchandise tucked away in a smaller store. We found some Electric sunglasses that she loved. read more

I bought a used board, at a great price, from one of their east coast locations(I'm SoCal). It looked great in the pics and from what the salesperson/surfer(Cam) who was helping me could remember, it was in perfect shape. A couple of pressure dings on the deck but that's it. When he went to ship it he noticed that it did actually have a couple small dings. Some shops would have just shipped it anyway, I mean it was used and a steal for the price! Cam didn't.... Instead he reached out to me and let me know the sitch.... He sent me detailed pics, and asked what I'd like to do..... Have them fix it for me(free of charge) or they would take additional $$ off the purchase price or they'd refund me in full. Cam made the whole experience easy-peasy lemon-squeezy, zero hassle... and for a used board that I'm sure they weren't making a lot of $$ on, plus he gave me a discount on the fins i was getting anyway. I highly recommend this place. They know how to treat a fellow surfer! BTW I just chose to have em fix the dings =) read more
