It's a good alternative to shop for beach wear. They have a big discount section on the second floor. A lot of old stuff up there. Nothing for me. They have a great free parking garage attached. Some skateboard options. I think their prices are a little less than some other places. No wow factor.

I liked this beach store a lot. I thought its prices were better than Ron Jon and I was able to get an ornament for under $10 and a Cocoa Beach hat for $7. It is also pretty big inside the store and has a small aquarium. It's not really a true surf shop and is more of a touristy shop. The cashier was super nice and I enjoyed my experience.

It has a fair amount of surfing items and T-shirt's galore. Here are kids, women and mens items as well as other little sundries. The prices Are fair though Mo bargains. They have an upstairs as well. Downstairs there is a huge fish tank which is cool to see. We even got to see a diver in there with the fish! I think that was the best part of the store. And there is a Starbucks attached to it! .

I just purchased my second Jamis beac cruiser in 2 months. Not only are Jamis bikes top quality and easy to ride, Cocoa Beach Surf Company has excellent customer service!

I got dropped off right in front of Cocoa Beach Surf Company by my shuttle ride as this is the stop where I can have some beach time and just wander around. Shark Tank seems to be the attraction here. The fish tank is huge and nice. We were also given coupons with % off while we got off our shuttle. A nice touch as most tourists probably more interested in visiting the flagship store of Ron Jon which is just right next door. Not a bad place to browse around.

Would be 3.5 stars... Since it's right next door to Ron Jon, I say, why not? Most of the prices here are quite expensive, but it was okay to look around. The aquarium displays (see pics) that they've got are really cool to look at!

I've frequented the place a few times when I head over to the east coast to surf. Mostly for a cup of Java or some good by the shark tank. As far as surfing gear mehhhh not really a true surf shop mostly touristy stuff. Overpriced boards etc. Go with the family if on a vaca there but just to show the kids the tank.

Great staff and equipment! We rent boards from them once or twice a year. Great service.

It has a better selection of adult clothes than Ron Jon (Salt Life, Tommy Bahama, Anne Cole).

I went into Core Surf relaxed and polite, wanting to learn more about the Savage boards they stock…read more I even brought one of my own boards to explain what I'm looking for. The guy I spoke with (tall, skinny dude) had that smartass vibe from the start. When I asked how a used Channel Islands Neckbeard (he wanted to sell me) compared to Happy Everyday, his answer was that there are now as many surfboards as marijuana strains. Funny line, but not helpful, and honestly a weird comparison since people actually choose specific strains for real reasons. Then came the rant about volume. He said it couldn't be measured, which was funny because these days every core guy or old-school surfer seems to have something personal against the word "volume". It's almost like volume broke their hearts, everyone's got a speech about it but no one gives a straight answer. Before leaving, I asked about deposits on boards, and after acting like they only want customers who can drop a thousand bucks on the spot, he admitted they might take 50%. At least that's something. Catalyst will be fine with $100 though. And that's the problem here. Shops like this complain that people don't support local surf shops or local shapers, but when you show up ready to spend money, this is the treatment you get. Then they act surprised when sales go to the bigger brands. If you want people to support local, you've got to give them a reason to.

Ton of boards for sale. They have rentals too. The owner(?) gave me a pretty decent deal on…read morereselling my 9'-6" longboard. I would definitely come here to try to get my next board.

This store makes me want to say, "No wayyyyy.....way!" and "Excellent!" and "Nothing was bogus" -…read moreaccording to Bill and Ted (it's making my son cringe in the background). Largest surf shop in the world at 52,000 square feet of cool, rad, and gnarly, awesome things (shirts, jewelry, swim wear, accessories, beauty products, home decor, surf boards, rash guards, sunglasses, etc). If you can walk out without buying a shirt, keychain or sticker, I would either be impressed, or think something was wrong with you. Free parking (time limit) in the back of the shop. Long arse lines at all the registers, but that's a testament to how popular this place is. My husband who is an (ex-)surfer, totally loved this shop. He said visiting this store was one of the highlights of the trip.

Do I surf? No. Did I want to visit this place again on my most recent trip to Florida? YES…read more I visited here for the first time way back in 2012. I loved this store then and I still love it! I've wanted to make it to some of the other Ron Jon shops since then but haven't been near one. I don't know the best way to describe it. It's like a superstore for beachwear, keychains, hats, sunglasses, shirts, surfboards, art, trinkets, shoes, and a bunch of other random things. It's so much fun to walk around this place and see what you can find. I still have a souvenir magnet from my first visit. This time I found a shirt I had to have! Anytime I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop in here. If you're in the Cocoa Beach area, this is definitely a must-visit!
